  1. Brentford will be, doubt they’ll bring more than 300 on a Wednesday night.
  2. These 3/6 game ticket bundles have never, ever sold more than the hundreds, even when doing well. So of course, a bundle when we are doing poorly, with one of them a night match is never going to sell. Quite scary how little of a clue he has re our fanbase and demographic.
  3. Exactly what they'll do and it will exclude a load of folk.. A lot of those tempted may be 'dad and his lad'. Or exiled Lancastrians back up north for Christmas etc. So just slash prices... but they won't.
  4. So there will be a Wigan offer. But I imagine it will be some convoluted set up instead of £15 anywhere and £1 a kid etc.
  5. Let’s see who gets the gig. Paul Yates on the Fans Jury has always bern realistic. If he ends up in situ and starts banging on about TM needing a winter break to the Maldives, then obviously these writers are being leaned on editorially..
  6. I’m not quoting anything, I gave an example of a well kept ground. Fair enough if the shit tip that is Ewood doesn’t bother you.
  7. Seems like you’re the one with a chip on your shoulder about them...
  8. Sorry? Did you read the post? No obsession, it’s the example I have, I imagine there will be a plethora of owners/management with pride in their football clubs that don’t let their ground fall into disrepair.
  9. I’ve said this before but I used to go to the gym built into the away end at Deepdale. I lost count of the times I saw workmen around the ground jet washing, touching up the surfaces with fresh paint etc.
  10. Was it 2010 when we played them in a youth cup game at Ewood? Night match, well advertised and from memory a crowd of 10,000 turned up, including a fair few of them. The club actually promoting and cherishing one of England’s top derbies, imagine that.
  11. Years of neglect. From my seat in the Blackburn End I can see layer upon layer of grime across the stands.
  12. How old are you, 12?
  13. Not that it particularly matters this season as we’ll be selling the square route of feck all, especially at those prices. But generally, considering half STs are often bought as Xmas presents, the earlier they are on sale the better, surely? Many folk are buying Christmas gifts well in advance of mid November. Basic sales and marketing common sense.
  14. Schools aren’t going to take kids out of lessons in the middle of term for a youth football match, never mind it being a ‘high risk’ fixture. Come on chaddy, bloody hell.
  15. Ah, maybe the club checked the school INSET day timetables! The kids will be flooding in!
  16. HTs on sale... £210-£235 in the Jack Walker! Very steep for 11 matches. Can’t see many being sold. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/november/half-season-tickets-2019-20/
  17. Gibson’s on Northgate was a great sport shop to go into when I was a kid. From memory, you had regular stuff downstairs, but racks of specialist equipment like cricket whites, pads etc upstairs.
  18. They could actually qualify this time even though they propping up their group with San Marino. They get a home play-off, probably against Bulgaria, just because they won a couple of glorified friendlies (Nations League) last year.
  19. The proliferation of the former USSR and Yugoslavia countries coupled with the super-minnows, qualification is largely now a procession for the top sides. No jeopardy at all, like there used to be, when it would often go to the last game, think of Terry Butcher et al.
  20. Enough is enough. Get the Dack/Graham combination back together and stop pissing about. I think he will, by the way, as he has often picked up a win when desperately needed.
  21. ‘Middle of the road’, call it what you want. But a club with our playing budget, infrastructure and Cat 1 Academy shouldn’t be flirting with a second relegation to the third division since 2016.
  22. Yates should do the gig, the only one on the 'Fans Jury' that speaks any sense.
  23. Forget that article yesterday about it being about performances. Today piece, it’s a ‘results business and we haven’t won enough’ https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/quicktest/18029658.football-winning-games-havent-won-enough/
  24. You reckon? We’ll get barely a mention. The days of us having any kind of profile have gone.
  25. Piece on Preston in today’s Times. Their starting 11 on Saturday cost less than £1.5million, their playing budget is in the bottom 5 of the league. Shows what is possible, they are actual underdogs, ‘little old *enter club here*’ fits them, not a club like us that is pissing counting millions up the wall for ever diminishing returns.
