You never know with Rovers away support, it could not get close to selling out or it sells out in a day.

Graham Potter came from Scandinavia (just like Berg) ended up at Swansea, now in the PL. Dean Smith. Cowley Farke Stoke nabbed Jones, who was in all likleyhood about to take Luton to back to back promotions. There are always potential emerging, who was Wagner when Huddersfield found him? Proper, professional football clubs make it their business to find the next one. I’m not after booting out Mowbray, so not sure why I’m even bothering, but to say there are no promising managers in Europe is just bloody daft, 50 years, indeed!

You aren’t going to stop it, that’s football forums, so why get worked up about it?
-
Appleton, Ince et al were shit, doesn’t mean there are NO good young managers that could do a job at Ewood. What nonsense.
-
People on here can say what they like, what does if matter if they don’t blindly support Mowbray’s approach? It’s an obscure Internet forum.

I’d love us to do well too... just because I’m a big Rovers fan. Who did? I remember most people after seeing him saying he was extremely raw and not ready for first team football... which he wasn’t.

‘Easy like Sunday morning’

I’ll hold you to that as I’ll expect you’ll have every excuse under the sun as to why we aren’t up there. Though I don’t see why you are tying your colours to the mast, as for me we shouldn’t expect to be close to the top 6 at all unless a boat load of defenders and a quality striker emerge in 6 weeks. The squad currently isn’t good enough and most fans I know don’t have a slightest hope for promotion with it.
-
What will annoy me is say we are bottom half around Christmas, is the Beetlejuices of the world telling us to ‘be realistic’, ‘we shouldn’t be expecting play offs’, ‘we are where we are’, ‘we can’t compete’, ‘get behind the lads, sooo negative’. When it is Mowbray and the players making far more of a song and dance about promotion than the fans, we are realistic looking at that squad that’s why we know we ain’t going up.

It’s a bit like ‘turnovers’ which inexplicably seems to have found its way into football speak from rugby union...

Did a job in league 1, now he’s moved on back to that level. Fair enough to me. -

At least it’s 12 months, so the usual payoff won’t be required.

Season Tickets 2019/2020
Mattyblue replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Driving through Preston this morning and I spotted our season tickets advertised in a bus shelter. Thought i’d Teleported to 1995 and it felt great! Hopefully the club is finally waking up to the fact that an ever increasing percentage of the fanbase is outside the town of Blackburn. -
Bloody hell didn’t realise I had a reputation for being a sad bastard!
-
Oldham at home.
-
If it let us build a strong core to the side that could propel us to promotion then it would be worth considering. But I just couldn’t see the funds being made available.
-
Because Venky's would allow that?

Championship season 2019-20
Mattyblue replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Salford and Sunderland will be on more than us. -
Yeah the club does do them regularly. Especially in mid to late July (you'd think) with school holidays starting.
-
I've noticed that every season there seems to be more and more back to back home games (and vice versa).
-
Cardiff away on Good Friday. So much for local fixtures when there is little public transport.
-
At least it isn't as bad as two years ago when it took me a minute to realise we weren't listed in the Championship fixtures at all...
