It's the U18s the EFL want Bolton to play. So using child labour to break a strike. Like something out of Dickens!

EFL now saying they have to play the two games, with their academy side, if necessary. https://www.efl.com/news/2019/april/efl-statement-bolton-wanderers2/

Season Tickets 2019/2020Mattyblue replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Club in receivership still manages to get their season tickets out (with 17-21 concession) before us...

You put fools, crooks, crackers business models, blindly loyal fans and too much money together in one industry and no wonder you get this kind of situation.

Some already are blaming players looking at the comments on Bolton News. ‘Give Bassini a chance FFS’

I remember BDS being in there before, which was a shock to him. Looks as if some ‘journalist’ trawls through all the Championship forums every Friday...

Polish international, the commenters underneath the article seem to rate him...

You’re right, but it’s preferable to some we’ve had - like all white or navy etc.
-
Interesting. Well we'll see if it was just a one off 'nod to our past' as the launch patter said about the Cambridge blue soon enough...

I was just responding to you saying we have a ‘similar budget’. I don’t think we do.
-
So? No different to if any club bought a £7million player. That is the nature of the beast online, he’s had great support at matches and that’s all that matters.
-
I would say our wage bill, transfer budget and all round infrastructure overheads (academy etc.) are considerably higher than Preston North End.
-
Obviously red and black would be best. However halved shirts are unique to us in English football - we don’t make enough of it, and if our away shirt was generally variations of halves each season, then great.

Some folk are just trolls and will say outrageous things because they can and for a reaction, they doesn’t reflect the fanbase in any way. But of course the usual ‘see! Typical, negative Rovers fans’ brigade will be all over it.

He’ll certainly never make it at Rovers. But I also think a place on a second tier bench will be the pinnacle for him. League 1 or 2 and there’s a chance he can carve out a decent career - but I think he needs to go this summer for his own good as he needs to move on from development football.

Everyone around me was absolutely delighted when he scored and it must have been the largest cheer of the season when the PA fella announced him as the scorer. People will always have an opinion, it used to just be in the pub or over the garden fence, however it’s now largely online. He’s had fantastic support at games and that’s all that matters.

BB is still miles off ‘a player’ and remember it was against a totally demoralised rabble on Monday. However, I would agree that there is ‘something’ there. Nuttall, I’m afraid, will never make it at this level.

I believe we didn’t actually wear a badge in those days, it was just a one off for the cup final. We only started wearing one in the late 70s, a red rose. Older fans please correct me!

Maybe for our 150th anniversary season?

Good seller though, looking around Ewood yesterday

Other Football League 2018/19Mattyblue replied to SBlue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Stanley have always pulled out a win when needed, so I can see them getting a result.

Either red and black halves or stripes. Or yellow. Traditional Rovers away colours and we should always alternate between them.
-
Apart from an odd bit of murmuring, which is to be expected when you have been as off form as BB has, and something every player gets, he has had excellent support from the fans throughout. So it annoyed me to see the usual fools on the LT website etc. slagging off ‘typical Rovers fans getting on his back’, when it wasn’t the case at all.
