  1. Conway’s crossing ability makes you remember just how good he was when he had pace in the Gestede era
  2. It wasn’t that most clubs would need it, from memory. More that they would need to be moved ‘regularly’ so not to ‘inconvenience them’. Still nonsense, as evidence from previous Championship seasons told him that Leeds and Preston aside, hardly any club needed more than the existing 5,500 allocation (half lower and full upper tier). Was always just an excuse to close it to home fans.
  3. I thought that was a fair comment. Last night for the first time, nearly all his runs were effective and cut right through their lines. Many times before he was more heat than light. If he carries on like last night, continuing to improve that final ball/shot, we’ve got a player.
  4. Watching the first goal celebrations, Graham looked towards the Blackburn End whilst pointing at him, ‘this lad can play’ was the jist. He did it again as they started to walk back to the halfway line. He should have been looking toward the dugout...
  5. Not really an issue, just think it makes Ewood look and sound even worse than normal.
  6. Playing the Dingles or someone bringing 5,000 or so? Definitely fill the top first and put the overspill on the bottom, splits up the following and is to our benefit. A midweek game against Derby, Reading etc. Those kind of followings don’t need ‘putting out the way’, get them downstairs and at least try and have the pretence that we aren’t playing on the moon.
  7. Also, noticed they’ve just posted the goal of the season contenders. Only 1 goal out of the 8 after New Year’s Day. Says it all.
  8. Proper rogues gallery. It’ll be like when Williams won it in the relegation season.
  9. On a night like tonight, with presumably a two thirds empty ground and around 500 people in one upper corner of an 8,000 capacity stand, just makes Ewood look horrendous.
  10. Derby in the upper tier tonight. Any idea why this experiment is still going on? Not exactly giving us home advantage, is it?
  11. Think it’s fairly obvious that the 12pm’s were the club’s idea, though the police were happy to oblige. They’ve just been rumbled this season and obviously didn’t like the backlash in the LT and on social media. O2G - If the folk on the forum think issues like shelves, postcards etc need raising, fine, they are the ones that turn up meeting after meeting. However, the minutes (to me) never seem to see much of a push on the FF side about potential attendance initiatives. Apologies if you do and the minutes don’t fully reflect the back and forth, they just normally read as flat batted replies from the club and then move on to other business. I personally think the 18-25 demographic and a PROPER singing section need to get pushed and pushed hard with the club, and if you guys don’t do it, what other avenues are there?
  12. No wonder Forest couldn’t wait to get shut...
  13. Fairly obvious he’s got himself out of condition: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17559288.rovers-boss-wants-dack-to-throw-himself-in-to-football/
  14. The banality of some of the issues that constantly get raised beggar belief when you think of some of the real structural problems the club has. I’m sure O2G has said before that 500 is about standard for half season ticket sales. The daftest thing is because 100 folk bought a Super 6 bundle ticket we can’t discount match tickets in the run in. For the piddling amount that were sold, why even bother with these bundles? Just keep a couple of individual game ticket offers up your sleeve.
  15. They didn’t want to be inconveniencing the Darren Enders by constantly moving them for all those 6,000+ away followings...
  16. And Ewood WMC
  17. We should get half a point for all these 1-0 defeats, I reckon. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17558611.mowbray-on-derby-threat-and-rovers-one-goal-defeats/
  18. Totally agree with most of that, though compared to most away grounds, I think there are plenty of pubs in walking distance to Ewood. There’s about 6 on Livesey Branch Road alone! A PROPER singing section has to be looked at. Really promote it, help with banners and flags, make it cheap for that age bracket. I look around Ewood and thankfully I do see healthy numbers of kids, but ‘young adults’ if you want to call them that are noticeable by their absence - yet if a camera ever zooms to the singing section at say Palace or Huddersfield or Bristol City and it is all that demographic. I hope the club doesn’t expect the answers to come from the Fans Forum, because as committed as they undoubtedly are, issues like the shelves in the Jack Walker stand or the need for a Harry Chapman postcard in the club shop aren’t exactly burning issues for the future of the club.
  19. Some interesting things out of the last Fans Forum: 18-25 attendances are down. Something blueboy has repeatedly raised on here, not sure the club’s response in the minutes are particularly encouraging, just waffle about ‘being competitive’. And hallelujah it looks as if the noon KOs are no more! https://www.rovers.co.uk/contentassets/d47edf0f19cd47dea3a73e898f8da69c/fans-forum-minutes-18-3-19.pdf
  20. Dack may play according to TM’s presser. No truth in the social media rumours on Saturday...
  21. We are now just one of only 11 league clubs not to have played at the new Wembley.
  22. Shame he’s been signed up till 2021 on no doubt good money.
  23. Did I imagine it or did he duck when the ball was crossed towards him in the 6 yard box?
  24. Good job we beat Wigan or I think we’d be getting a little edgy with Derby and Forest as our next two games...
  25. Yes £10 million is a lot of money for non parachute clubs in this league.
