  1. I'm imagining a few hundred from south Wales, some trek that for a 12.30 KO, and 6,000 or so walk ons, which is still double the usual number sold. £15 isn't THAT cheap, though £1 for under 18s and free for U12s may attract a good number of families.
  2. I'm not in favour of pitch invasions at all, but it was no surprise they stayed in their seats politely clapping at full time...
  3. Which many do with the red button coverage and odd other games they can’t make through the season. I imagine a few folk will be thinking on your lines this summer. Waggott is playing a very dangerous game here and we could well be back to the 8,000 or so ST holders we had under Coil.
  4. If they go up to around £400-£500 this summer then we will actually be heading towards the upper end .
  5. Behave Phil, they are posts relating to crowds. I’m responding to rumours from two posters, including the site owner. He can merge them into the Attendance thread (where Swansea was already being discussed) if he’s so inclined.
  6. Realism Phil. I know how the Rovers fanbase works and how price sensitive they are. You keep increasing prices with our fanbase and numbers fall - just like in the mid 2000s - and that was in the Premier League. I don’t know what a lot of folk’s limits are, but psychologically, I imagine £500+ in the JW upper and £400 in the BBEnd (two most popular areas of the ground) will lead to a fair few knocking it on the head - especially with red button and standard Sky coverage probably accounting for a third of matches.
  7. If prices go up, that will mean JW upper prices well past £400 and BBEnd prices not far off 400. Prices will have near doubled in 10 years and certainly won’t be ‘cheap’ - though plenty on social media will think so because they will cost twenty quid less than the Tom Finney stand.
  8. Considering nearly every other club has either frozen/reduced them and/or introduced more concessions, it would be par for the course here to see a rise. No chance of higher crowds next season if that’s the case (every chance we lose ST holders). Though it’s obvious Waggott has given up trying to increase bums on seats, he’s just happy to milk the core support and hope for big away followings.
  9. Have we ever played at night match on a Saturday?
  10. Perfectly clear that they are not regulators in any way. As JH said the other day, they are just competition organisers, though I imagine the Blackburn and Darwen Bowls league takes a tougher line...
  11. It's the U18s the EFL want Bolton to play. So using child labour to break a strike. Like something out of Dickens!
  12. EFL now saying they have to play the two games, with their academy side, if necessary. https://www.efl.com/news/2019/april/efl-statement-bolton-wanderers2/
  13. Club in receivership still manages to get their season tickets out (with 17-21 concession) before us...
  14. You put fools, crooks, crackers business models, blindly loyal fans and too much money together in one industry and no wonder you get this kind of situation.
  15. Some already are blaming players looking at the comments on Bolton News. ‘Give Bassini a chance FFS’
  16. I remember BDS being in there before, which was a shock to him. Looks as if some ‘journalist’ trawls through all the Championship forums every Friday...
  17. Polish international, the commenters underneath the article seem to rate him...
  18. Where is the i newspaper going to go if brfcs is locked down?
  19. Easily done if the club promoted 1875 properly.
  20. You’re right, but it’s preferable to some we’ve had - like all white or navy etc.
  21. Interesting. Well we'll see if it was just a one off 'nod to our past' as the launch patter said about the Cambridge blue soon enough...
  22. I was just responding to you saying we have a ‘similar budget’. I don’t think we do.
  23. So? No different to if any club bought a £7million player. That is the nature of the beast online, he’s had great support at matches and that’s all that matters.
