Exactly right Don. Make it £15 a ticket anywhere in the ground. Us and Bolton would sell substantially more. A season ticket pack (ha!) with every purchase . But nah, make it £27- £34 in the hope Bolton fetch 3,000 or so to rip off. I hope Bolton do come ‘in a taxi’, it will be a fitting finish to a season of largely poor away followings to Ewood and blows a hole in that nonsense Waggott was coming out with in the summer about moving home fans from the DE due to all those upcoming massive followings.

Not for me. Their pass and move football was far superior to ours. Though to be expected when they have better players.

I’m not being sarcastic in the slightest. As I said, if they’d have taken their chances first half they’d have been out of sight. Indeed, they should have scored right on the whistle, with whoever it was in the offside position getting involved when it was going over the line anyway.

The common denominator since this lot arrived has been a succession of has-beens, never-beens and rookie appointments. Bowyer was learning his trade on our time with a squad of good players he just couldn’t get a proper tune out of, the rest of them were just a shower. Nothing will ever change with this lot at the helm.

On our current trajectory we’ll finish on 51 points... some progress.

I suppose we get spooked because we somehow ended up going down on an unheard of 51 points. That was a unique set of circumstances with some decent teams like Forest and Birmingham down there. This season isn’t like that.

Lowe is now out for the season, so another boost for them.

We are going to ‘finish 18th’ with the old guard playing anyway - 4 points from 30 tells us that. So what’s to lose playing Rothwell et al? It’ll give the fans a bit of pleasure in the arse end of a petered out season, if nowt else.

Doesn’t surprise me that player x was surprised. He’s not had single negative chant his way since probably Doncaster at home in August 2017. They are still generally clapped off or at least not booed after another home defeat. I think back to the days of Sam and perhaps a more apt parallel - Bowyer, and the grief they and their sides got in comparison is day and night. Best thing to happen to Mowbray was relegation.

Thought I’d reply to your match thread post on here JH. Totally agree, If clubs like Villa and Forest, who have a much bigger floating fanbase and far fewer empty seats than us to fill, still think it’s a good idea to offer family and young adult deals, yet a club like us with 18,000 empty seats to fill, don’t, just beggars belief. I can only pray that the Stoke game initiative is a sign that the penny has finally dropped, but I won’t be holding my breath.

Chaddy being chaddy. But I’d wager he’s closer to the thoughts of the majority of Ewood than most on here. He’s the most bomb proof manager I can remember. Been two further away defeats since we were last at home, but I doubt there’s been much change - look at the LT comments and most Facebook groups as proof of that.

In that case we might as well just put them on sale in the close season and be done with it. ’Nothing more we can do’ was Waggott’s view earlier in the season. A worrying remark when they’ve tried bugger all apart from closing stands and raising prices.

JH isn’t saying we should be selling 20,000 season tickets by March, we all know our club’s current limitations. The point is that putting them on sale in the close season limits selling time and also is a time of year when many potential purchasers have switched off from football, saving for holidays etc. The fact we couldn’t even get them on sale for Oxford last season (or new kits in the club shop) just shows how behind the curve we continue to be.

We just aren’t used to it. It’s standard practice at most other clubs.

Bizarre part of it is that they turned down 1,000 people and capped it at 2,500. Why? There’s 18,000 empty seats!

They’ve been in touch with the schools for a while over this, great idea. Long overdue. I know lads that are still regulars now that started with a school trip to Ewood. Not just a Rovers issue, but unless kids have an avid family, there’s every chance they are glory fans. It’s worse than its ever been, so get them interested in local clubs early.

I’m praying that the ‘heritage’ Cambridge blue will be just that once again next season.

A lot of clubs now are simplifying their badges. Tottenham and Liverpool (on their shirt), for example, just a cockerel and liver bird, stripping away all the bells and whistles. I love the badge, but it is of its time.

The sad get that I am, I like to peruse other club’s twitters and forums, and we are one of the very, very few not to have had them on sale for a substantial period already. Im afraid it will never change with this dysfunctional set up.
