  1. Course they can. But what you find is that the folk that get involved in a sing song away from home, either don’t bother with home games ‘cos they’re shit’ or they are scattered across different stands, ergo nowt really gets going. A lot of clubs have cottoned on to this, so are now setting up designated, unreserved areas to encourage it.
  2. There are a hell of a lot of young adults that go away but rarely set foot on Ewood. Will this new category of ticket entice them in? A few, perhaps. But the majority think 'the atmosphere at Ewood is shit'. A singing SECTION promoted to such fans would be a great idea and I think would see decent numbers getting involved.. Maybe next year ay?
  3. It’s a price freeze with a new category for young adults. No reductions for full price tickets. Will that on its own see a big increase? Not for me. Couple it with a singing section and then promote the hell out of it and we’d be getting somewhere.
  4. They really rated their Polish full back who handed his notice in, presumably going back to Germany...
  5. Excellent use of the non Championship thread for Bolton, JH.
  6. This has been my go to site for 20 years and the quality of the podcasts etc are the best they’ve ever been. And I can imagine for those outside Lancs this place is a fantastic way to really feel part of the Rovers conversation. Even though we are the ‘biggest load of negative bastards on the Internet’ (We are usually right though )
  7. Because of the 'Hundred', it's going to be a 'development' competition from next season, so the Checkatrade of cricket...
  8. Lowest league crowd of the season. Play offs matches aren’t covered by season tickets. So no surprise, as just like here, a good number of season ticket holders just don’t buy match tickets.
  9. What happened to longsiders? Or Sam Dingle?
  10. 2pm - Talks about Descartes, metaphysics and disestablishmentarinism and how it relates to an away game at Barnsley. 5pm - knocks the opposing manager out in the tunnel and is boxed in in the car park as he tries to do a runner by local plod
  11. Big Brexiteer is their owner, he has big billboards about it on his land around Wesham, Lytham etc.
  12. Fylde had 700 fans, I believe.
  13. They’d done bugger all for years before this season.
  14. I’ve a lot of time for the likes of West Brom, Wolves, Derby County. Proper, provincial football clubs full of tradition, like our good selves.
  15. I thought he had improved a bit second half of the season. But he looked completely past it last week, bad timing for him, but let’s hope it made TM’s decision for him.
  16. Don’t want to be the one to break it to you Rev, but Mulgrew signed one a few months ago... until 2021
  17. I really thought it had legs, because I heard it from a few different sources who aren't exactly Madon spying on Brockhall with binoculars accurate, but not bad.
  18. No truth in the disbanding rumour then.
  19. Great leader, runs the dressing room etc and all that. He does give that impression, so offer him a coaching role. If he still wants to play, good luck to him, but not here.
  20. I agree we won’t see 20,000 average crowds in this league again. But are we capable of selling a fair few more than 10,000 season tickets? I think without doubt, we just need more imagination and drive from the club.
  21. Noticed Lenihan and Evans interviewed for the official site today. Both talking about top 6 - definitely season ticket sale season!
  22. Pocket money for Harrogate-ers
  23. No arguments there JH
  24. However, look at the average crowds of your EFL ‘regulars’, so Birmingham, Bristol City, Sheff Utd, Derby, Forest and so on and their crowds have risen massively since our last promotion in 2001. Our average crowd of 20,000 back then had us 3rd, now it would be 13th in the averages. The common denominator is they are city clubs with vast catchment areas and a dormant floating support has for some reason re-emerged. Unfortunately, clubs like us and Bolton just don’t have that floating support, just a very loyal core that doesn’t really wax or wane by much. I would wager that we are one of the few clubs in England getting lower crowds now than in 2001 (if at the same level).
  25. I was at a wedding when Stoke away was on this season. Our table didn't hear a word of the speeches as we were refreshing Twitter for updates as that mad last 10 minutes was going on.
