  1. Well not on the gate, as that seems to be beyond the wit of man at Ewood. But you would be able to from the match day ticket office at the Blackburn End.
  2. Good point you make Hasta. In relegation season (March 2017), the game was moved earlier, but it was 1pm. That hour could make all the difference for folk who work till dinner or play themselves/watch their kids play on a Saturday morning. Why stop at 12? Make it 9am next time.
  3. I’m fascinated by accents. Even in east Lancs, where the towns generally have similar accents (apart from Burnley), there are differences. I.e in Blackburn we say ‘footbowl’, but in Darwen it’s more ‘footbaaal’. Folk from Accy way tend to say ‘town’ and ‘down’ like Boltoners. Any more you’ve noticed?
  4. Three lads on my Facebook... with their kids.
  5. It’s bizarre, we need to concentrate MORE on our non Blackburn fanbase, as demographic change is seeing our support spread further and further outside the town, yet as you say we do very little outside BwD.
  6. The longer Stanley stay in League 1 and Holt carries on being this proactive, I think we will have an issue in Hyndburn. Always been a Rovers heartland, but he gives a free shirt to every kid in the borough, season tickets at a £1 a game and just generally a fun place to spend an afternoon. And we do what in the area to counter it?
  7. Best not whack up the price again then!
  8. Stanley have theirs on sale next week. £219 early bird. £23 for under 12s.
  9. It’s you with the sweeping statements, no problem with them having an input, however deciding on how we are set up as a team - as his quote says, seems risky.
  10. Every club had smaller crowds in the mid 80s, ours were no worse than anyone else’s.
  11. Difference between ‘banging heads together’ and letting players decide on tactics.
  12. I’m sure Blackburners say Berry. Perhaps oer Darren and Accy it’s Buurry.
  13. I totally get this ‘senior player responsibility’ idea of Mowbray’s. I.e. day to day at Brockhall you don’t need to be micro managed by TM, how the senior players can ‘run the dressing room’ and keep more junior players in line etc. But letting the players decide the tactics? Risky approach, as it’s his head on the chopping block, not the players.
  14. I went in Jack’s Kitchen for the Bristol City game. The food was ok, you get one course, plus programme. It’s a pay bar. However, it was rammed. Talking to folk in there, quite a lot have season tickets for JK. They like the prime seats they get, plus how you can come back inside at half time/full time etc. It surprised me his busy it was as it’s not something I think the club widely advertise.

  16. Most folk I know refer to it as ‘Berry?’
  17. Theoretically in the PL, using those parameters, fixtures against Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Everton, Burnley and any other club that could get close to filling the Darwen End would have to be set for 12pm unless moved for TV. Sure that wouldn’t be in the season ticket application pack...
  18. As I said. Do the honours mods ?
  19. Can anyone really be arsed with weeks of claptrap like this? So much nonsense spouted I wouldn’t know where to start debunking it. Get them banned before we have pages and pages of it.
  20. The Ewood area that has been dealing with football crowds for nearly 130 years!
  21. ‘Mutually agreed’ with the police to move to 12pm. I.e. ‘We asked and the police agreed’. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/february/preston-kick-off-time-explained/
  22. That would be more of a Jazzy Kex issue!
  23. We only ‘pipped’ them because we lost form in the run in and they went on a barmstorming run. Yet, they still couldn’t catch us, so shows how dominant we had been for most of the season. (Plus, how our team needed refreshing that summer, but that’s another issue).
  24. Not saying I agree with his approach with Ireland BDS, just that it doesn’t meant he’ll approach Forest the same way.
  25. He chose a method with Ireland largely due to him having a fairly poor set of players. With Forest he has players who are generally on par with the rest of the league, so you’ll see a different method, so all that about him being a ‘dinosaur’ didn’t wash.
