  1. Because he’s a ‘good lad’ is what I’ve gleamed.
  2. Be interesting to know Southgate’s real thoughts (well, we do know them, but to be a fly on the wall with him and his coaching staff)...
  3. 2 years? 3 surely? 1st full season - promotion 2nd - League Cup win and top half finish 3rd - top 6 finish
  4. 5933 according to wiki.
  5. I think 5500 is as much as you ever get, there’s usually a few seats in the front corners netted off.
  6. But a load of the away end will be Ewood regulars anyway, so that’s a load of the ‘demand’ you have every week.
  7. Comparing the demand for a Lancashire derby away game with a limited 5,500 allocation, where season ticket holders and other Ewood regulars need to buy a ticket, to a standard Championship home match with 20,000 seats to sell will tell you nothing.
  8. Fair point, I would imagine the comps are part of that figure.
  9. Well you do.... ’Todd Kane, 26, will spend the season on loan at Hull City’.
  10. Don’t disagree, I’m in favour of any offer the club decides on, however we haven’t seen one yet this season and I doubt we will for the foreseeable...
  11. 2,500/ 3,000 or so people are buying match tickets every week, that’s as many as we’ve ever really sold week by week, even in the PL. So, even though I do think £25-£30 is too expensive, that’s not the reason crowds aren’t what we want and I think we focus on the red herring of match ticket sales a little too much on here. It’s very simple, the vast majority of our support has always come from STs and we just didn’t sell enough of them in the summer , we’ll probably sell a few hundred half STs, but there’s not a lot else we can do about season tickets for the next few months. That’s why it is essential that we sell significantly more next time round. No more price rises, get them on sale earlier etc etc, it is the only way we will raise crowds, if we don’t see a significant increase we will be having the exact same argument this time next year.
  12. In 2000/2001 we consistently had one of the highest. Shows how much this league has changed and how much lasting damage 2010-2012 did. I would hope and pray the club will be doing everything in its power to increase season ticket sales next summer, but I doubt it, it will be just more a case of ‘squeeze the regulars.’
  13. Marginal gains are what Mogga’s after... (He didn’t go to Pune in the end) https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17221415.rovers-boss-targeting-marginal-gains-after-venkys-talks/?ref=mac
  14. Got talking to someone who was in the Moorgate pre game on Saturday and he said the team thought he was still superb. A much better standard of football on the Flyde Coast then down Pleasy, obviously!
  15. I have also worked with an office load of them for years and I’ve found some of them to have a chip on both shoulders when it comes to Rovers..
  16. It’s because there were a few folk in Rovers shirts wandering around Fulwood 25 years ago... that’s literally it.
  17. Their standard ‘Plastics’ thread is underway. The jist being we are ‘plastic’ because we are taking more for a 3pm game when the club’s on the up than the live on Sky game last time when on a downer (though a fake news photo, as it’s obviously taken before KO, we had 2,500 there that evening). If this lot are bottom half when we meet at Ewood, their following will be down from when they were chasing the play offs last time - that’s just to be expected. Such a bitter bunch. https://www.pne-online.net/forum/forum/football-forums/pne-discussions/3402278-yet-they-wonder-why-we-call-them-the-plastics
  18. Ow much?! Thought it has gone from £5 to £10? Edit - Spotted it’s £15 for non ST holders.
  19. I would imagine 1875 membership has fallen off a cliff this season. No Fleetwood’s this year. Everybody who I know signed up last season (me included) haven’t bothered. Not a single away match thus far has come close to selling out before general sale (as we expected)- due to bigger allocations, not new grounds, dearer, not top of the league etc - so we all thought, why bother? The club therefore needs to rethink what it’s doing with it, JH’s ideas would be a start...
  20. Can’t they just recommend you go to, say the Old Vic?
  21. Missed the Blackpool sell out... 5,302 (2,217 Rovers)
  22. Can’t speak for what’s inside the programme, but Port Vale’s from yesterday:
  23. The red button/ifollow development is absolute lunacy for non top flight clubs to agree to. There was no clamour from fans for it to happen and the EFL isn’t the PL, so can’t withstand so many games being on TV. Little financial benefit and enormous potential long term downsides. No surprise it is causing issues between clubs and that amateur organisation on Fishergate Hill.
  24. Totally get your point JH, but to me the foundations feel slightly more firm than they did 2013/15. However, with these owners it all seems to be about personal relationships. Mowbray and Waggott seem to gel with them, every chance the next appointees don’t, then what? Time will tell and if they eventually replace Mowbray with another Coyle-esque candidate then nothing at all has changed.
