Some more salubrious than others from memory!
-
We sell the majority of our away tickets on open sale these days anyway. I.e both Stoke and West Brom had sold around 700 pre open sale, ended up taking around 2,000. So no chance it doesn’t get to that stage.
-
No midweek game for a month now, plus an international break in mid November, so a good chance to get the squad over some of the niggles.

Thought it’d been converted into flats?

Glenn Hoddle

Maybe my memory is s bit hazy, but wasn’t Hoddle known as a ‘born again Christian’ at the time? I’m no theologian, but what part of Christianity believes in reincarnation? -
WBA VS ROVERS - SAT 27TH
Mattyblue replied to Dreams of 1995's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Exactly, the last 5 pages are just a row now because in true internet style nobody wants to back down, look at the Championship thread for another example, when a poster just won’t hold his hands up, even though the evidence that he’s wrong is literally in front of him. This could have been avoided on Saturday evening by folk letting others have their opinions, even shock horror, NEGATIVE ones, or it could have been nipped in the bud with some active modding... -
WBA VS ROVERS - SAT 27TH

Because some people can’t debate on here any more, perhaps? Why can’t anyone say what the hell they like? If you think what they say is rubbish, you explain why. All this positive/negative stuff, trying to shut down debate is ruining the site. For someone that likes to tell us that you’ve been here since day dot and how shite it now is, you should be able to see it, as even back to the days of Souness this place has been the same; schizophrenic, especially during a game (just like every single football forum in the land), just now certain posters don’t seem to want to allow it. Plus, 25 people on ignore? Either a lie or just sad, the site only has around 40/50 regular posters! -
I don’t, sorry.

It’s his article! Not sure what you’re getting at ODB?!

I think it’s the Liverpool forum, RAWK that shuts down the board during the match. -
Burnley pub renamed after Sean Dyche

Of course, didn’t hear it from their mouths a few months ago though... -
That explains it then. Part of me is glad they are up in the gods, but with a few hundred folk in the top corner of an enormous end won’t half make Ewood look a desolate place.
-
I’ve noticed that Rotherham are saying their tickets for Ewood are in the DE upper. https://www.themillers.co.uk/news/2018/october/tickets--details-v-blackburn-rovers/ Possibly a mistake at their end, but if not are the club doing something with the lower tier? School tickets etc? Probably not, but hope springs eternal!

I’ve long given up trying to estimate Rovers away followings, law to themselves. We sold out at Deepdale on the back of the Lambert appointment when everyone got a bit giddy for a few weeks. But then last time there it was only around 2.5k - though it was on Sky and the McDonut factor. However, this time it’s 3pm and a decent price, so we may push towards it, reckon 4K-ish if I had to guess. Though back to back home wins over the next couple of weeks and who knows...

Aren’t all Mercer posts done tongue in cheek? I thought we’d all worked him out years ago... -
My season ticket was £349, let’s say an average match ticket is £24, x23 is £552, so plenty of slack there for a few offers.

You were obviously a much more devout young Catholic then me and my pals Mike. We didnt believe a word of it, but was great for getting out of lessons for Mass or putting candles in oranges or whatever. -
I get the impression that ship’s sailed for the foreseeable, even if promoted, as you’d imagine Waggott would be rubbing his hands at the potential away followings.....

Spotted a convo on Twitter. Possibly Andy Kennedy in the League Cup at Exeter in 1989. -
Indeed. A month ago and you’d be expecting to turn over QPR, now they are the form side of the league. Cant remember our last win at Wigan and with I imagining thousands travelling to Deepdale it’s set-up for a let down. The reason I think we’ll probably finish around 9/10th is we just don’t have the consistency, as yet.

Bloody cold for October ay! Mixed emotions really, obviously it was a fantastic rearguard effort the last 15 minutes, one cross that Richie completely flapped at didn’t bode well! But the players gave everything, fantastic group of pros. However, we were dominating the game second half and could have won if it weren’t for Rodriguez. Ah well. Well placed for November.
