  1. Amazing considering how popular the red and black halved kit was, that we've never released a halved away shirt since.
  2. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/august/rovers-unveil-2018-19-away-kit/ Official kit launch photo without shorts and socks, that's a new one!
  3. Exactly! As do lots of others by the looks of it, I noticed on the main forum page that we had the most online ever t'other week - 1,625 people!
  4. Around a 1,000 tickets sold so far, not bad for a hell of a trip.
  5. Of course he is, I'm not his dad. But 'are you ever positive' to a bloke that obviously bleeds blue and white is just snidey, and after a rise that will take us off on another positive/negative tangent for 3 pages.
  6. Is this what's it's getting to? Noticed he's been getting quite a bit of grief recently. JH has been one of the best posters to come to this board for years, his passion for Rovers shines through on every post he makes, posts he makes eloquently without ever getitng personal. (I'll climb out of his arse now, but annoyed me that!)
  7. Seen a few previews tipping us as 'dark horses'. I'd be delighted for a Milwall-esque season. Was their squad, even with how weak ours looks outside the starting XI any better than ours? Lets hope this 'momentum' thing does its trick and we avoid injuries for once...
  8. End of the day, £250 or £350 we won't be selling 12,000+ season tickets to be treading water in the bottom half of the Championship - without the owners helping build a competitve squad, Waggott will just fulfill his role - to squeeze the trusty 8/9000 for £350+. Now if we somehow end up having a good season, say lose in the play-offs and next summer the club spends the cash on players and markets STs at £250 with some kind of 'Roar us to the Premier League' campaign then I could see a big spike in sales. (Yeah, yeah what have I been smoking etc!) We have a limited fanbase who aren't as daft as the club thinks they are, the floating support will just not come out in big numbers for mid table second tier football after signing a couple of young lads and a loanee, they will respond to a bit of ambition on the pitch however - as an example, Forest have just sold record amounts of second tier STs.
  9. The yellow shirt shows exactly why fans aren’t involved. That’s an ‘Umbro Generic Kit #17’ if ever I saw one. As a non marquee club you’ll get what you’re given and charged through the nose for the pleasure. Dick Turpin (etc.)
  10. Aye, the Man Utd hierarchy would have been crying into their networking breakfasts hearing Mourinho’s comments...
  11. Indeed meadows, Chelsea churn out and hoard dozens upon dozens of players for up to a decade for no discernible reason that I can see - as many of them will never make the grade at that level. Who was the last Chelsea academy player to become a regular - John Terry?
  12. West Ham have a massive fan base from London into Essex, Kent and other parts of the Home Counties, so it doesn’t surprise me one bit they can flog huge number of season tickets. For us, we just don’t have the hinterland, shoehorned into a highly competitive area, we will not even sell five figures worth with STs heading towards £400 for the pleasure of watching Championship also rans. Hopefully it will bring Waggott down to earth and give him a better understanding of the limitations of our fan base, after he presumably thought everything he touched turned to gold in his first 12 months here.
  13. Agreed, Waggott is here for one reason only, so it’s probably the wrong choice of words to call it a ‘gamble’, but I imagine he was expecting to sell more than just a few hundred extra.
  14. So in reality we are just a few hundred up from where we were after Christmas last season. A 17% hike in price across the board was always a gamble and it looks like it hasn’t come off...
  15. “I’m trying to loosen the burden on Bradley Dack, Danny Graham, Dominic Samuel, those sort of players. They need some help and after losing Adam Armstrong, Jack Payne, Harry Chapman, we have really lost a lot of attacking minding players," Tony told iFollow Rovers.
  16. Wants to play for Mogga... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/july/i-was-desperate-to-join-after-speaking-to-the-boss/
  17. It’s a message board, folk can be as positive or negative as they want and it makes no difference to the players, the manager or the signings we will/won’t make. So why the constant waste of time and energy going on about the mindset of anonymous people on the internet?
  18. Nothing we don’t know. For me, our first XI has more than enough to be competitive in the Championship, however there are some extremely average players filling the rest of the squad, that’s what will drag us down this season.
  19. The home shirt is nothing like 91/92 and I’m getting sick of people parroting the official line just because the club doesn’t seem to know its own history.
  20. Extremely cheap looking. Reminds me of the generic kits you could buy for your Sunday league team in the back of Four Four Two magazine.
  21. Aye, not sure who the equivalent of Ferguson would be in this situation...
  22. That sounds a bit Roy Keane-esque for my liking...
  23. The club doesn’t reside in the most affluent of areas, so we will have a good number of fans who won’t have particularly good credit ratings. This could turn into a fairly big issue for the club. Definitely needs to be raised at the next Fans Forum...
