Season Tickets 2018/19
Mattyblue replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The hard core buy season tickets in the summer, out of habit and convenience, so they can keep their seat and because they are saving on match day prices. I don’t think ST holders will have any issue in a pro rata ST being released as long as those purchasers aren’t getting a better discount than what they have - we see that with half STs and the Last 10/6 tickets released last season. -
We paid for Bowyer’s inexperience, as he was essentially leaning his trade in the top half of the Championship. I imagine he looks back at that period now and wishes he had trusted a cracking set of players more - who knows where it would have took us (and him).

I hear you Paul, but the club has them on sale until around the first international break every year anyway, but who will be currently buying a product in which its value is decreasing by the week? -

What do you reckon Mark? There was seemingly no issue with giving Man Utd the full end at 4pm in the same season PNE had to kick off at noon... -

They’ll get away with it for a while as the next few games will see better away followings, but there’s no doubt it is a pretty demoralising sight when there’s just 300 southerners in there and over 7,000 empty seats... -

They are still on sale but at non early bird full whack - I.e £400 in the Blackburn End, pushing £500 in the JW. Surely do a pro rata offer with three games already played? -
6ft according to transfermrkt and wiki, also went to check his profile on Forest’s official site and got a 404? ?♂️

It will be £7million in January according to the Nottingham Post and Forest will have a sell on clause. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/transfer-news/ben-brereton-blackburn-nottingham-forest-1946184.amp?__twitter_impression=true

A few people on here don’t represent the Blackburn End. The only place that it is now possible to create an atmosphere is that End, N01 being the prime area - that ‘top corner’ as you put it, a bit like the DE top corner then, no? It is starting to improve as folk from across the ground are noticing. Can’t speak for what happened to you personally, but again that doesn’t represent 4,000 people. Just all seems very petty and creating divides that really don’t exist, surely as a fan base we’ve moved on from all that?

Why?

Same to those thinking he will be a hit. We are buying potential, and plenty of these signings don’t work out. Tyrone and everyone else obviously hopes it does, but it’s a gamble for the modern day Rovers, if that’s a ‘negative’ viewpoint, then so be it.

Bristol Away Question
Mattyblue replied to Irish...Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Fair enough, sounds like plenty of reasons for it to be Sunday then, BCFC are just being a bit disingenuous taking about moving it to Sunday for more rest (when we are just leaving August!). -
To be fair, after he said the last thing he wanted was to spend big money on one player (as he never thought we would), to WE MUST buy a 19 year old for millions, (because he now thought we would) and if you don’t agree you’re negative - is exactly why he winds the board up !
-
From the Forest forum it sounds like he has all the tools to be a quality all round forward but just doesn’t (as yet?) get the goals.
-
Oh he definitely will be, but with a tough September coming up he’s too canny to be giving it the big ‘un, as we could well be at the wrong end of the table after the Forest game on the 29th. Now if we have a decent month we really will be motoring...

Match Thread ROVERS vs Lincoln

I would imagine they won’t add one as they’ll be a load of season ticket holders turning up last legs that you imagine wouldn’t take too kindly to stumping up more. -

Normally it does say for league games that there’ll be a £3 surcharge. -

Doesn’t say so on the official site https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/august/ticket-news-lincoln-city-h/ -
Was it not more, ‘Oh shit, we’re doomed!’
-
I think barry and Old Darwen Blue have explained it before, but I can’t remember their rationale, so I’ll let them explain. But we are where are now, so why not fill up N01 with a hundred more singers in a 4,000 or so strong stand, instead of being miles away from anyone in a corner of the JW?
-
As in they refuse to move there under any circumstances. Nothing more sinister than that.

Do Sky not do something similar with some of their ‘bodies’ when they are running through the teams pre match? Especially if someone signs mid season. -
Not sure with this issue. As I know plenty of Blackburn Enders that did, the Wolves walk out was very well attended in the Blackburn End. Its more that the Darren Enders feel they are the bastions of the atmosphere and the Blackburn End gave up years ago. Though in reality as the Darwen End numbers dwindled neither were owt to write home about. But now we’ve got the chance to make it a proper end again - Palace style, so why not go for it?
