Goes round in circles this. The fact less than 12 months later he’s been touted for £40 odd million shows Palace got him for a steal… but in reality a distressed seller wasn’t going to get any more for a player in the Championship.
-
Hope you do hold me to it, as Ewood would then be full in home areas (outside the Blackburn End Upper), so a full Riverside too, we’ve not seen that since Oxford, so for me it won’t happen at £35, but if that’s the case nobody would be more delighted than me.

At least 18,000 home fans? So 9,000 walk ons at least? So potentially what 10,11k home walk ons? No chance for a Sky game at £35-£40 just after Christmas and new year. There will be a 16kish home fans there no chance for 18, 19, 20k.

Play offs being the difference. Still doable as the likes of Luton have proved… and Ipswich. -
My Facebook alone has at least four Stanley 'fans' on it that I know used to be rovers regulars. The Anfield Road End will be full of such folk in January,

First Boxing Day in front of fans at Ewood for years, big away following, exactly the kind of game that you can try and target a big crowd for, yet usually the club prices it in a way to purely milk the away support so putting a ceiling on home turnout (i.e. Cat A, A+) Category B is exactly what it should be and I can foresee a very healthy gate for this now.
-
15,900 home turnout last time. I imagine we’ll have something similar again. Yes, that was a night game, but this is also on Sky and just after Christmas/New Year to boot. Also, it was £30-£35 last time, £35-£40 this.

Be interesting how many ‘fans’ Accy suddenly acquire…

Tad small time, no? (but as those running the club see us as small time, to be expected).
-
Sounds most civilised. Will the walls be decorated in claret and blue and club photos for the occasion? Q&A with Ashley Barnes pre game?

It’s not perfect, parachutes being the big issue, be interesting to see what happens with the reforms to it Parry is pushing. But generally most games you’ve not a clue how they are going to go. -

Yes not the greatest quality but the Championship is everything a sport competition should be. Unpredictable and competitive. -
QPR at home incoming.

Bermondsey Beer Mile is tremendous if you’re a beer hipster like me 🍻!

If we did sell 1k, I imagine they’d get a few hundred more.

Cardiff aren’t top opposition, but does show we can go and beat a poor side away from home. -
Difference with Eustace is I can’t see Mogga/JDT death spirals, he’ll pick up wins purely on having a well drilled side. I imagine we’ll bob around 7th/8th but not do it in the end due to the standard tale of a small, pretty average squad not being helped in January and running out of steam.
