People are weighing up the facts as we have them Mike, several sources from the Liverpool camp themselves are blaming fake tickets, we've seen footage of storming the gates and climbing the fences. As for the Hillsborough point, I'm not reading that on these pages at all, nobody from what I can see is saying that.

You'll get no arguments from me on that J*B. Marseilles France 98 - England v Tunisia was like a war zone down by the port, the police had every right to kick off to be honest, but I've seen many occasions where police across Europe are smashing people for the sake of it, only happens at football in my experience. I read today about fans lighting flares and taking coke should be jailed, it was like a 3 days in Medellin back then, open drug taking everywhere, baseball bats, bike chains, cs gas, knives, but we digress, thankfully things have improved massively since back then.

Goodness me chaddy you've missed some great games this season. Real Madrid deserved to win this seasons competition, beating City, Chelsea, PSG and Liverpool along the way. they're not the greatest side in the world right now, but they win games.

If they replace Tony Mowbray with Drunken Duncan Ferguson I'll probably not be going next season, I think its rubbish anyway, I doubt he's in the running myself, but if he is, they've learnt nothing over the past 11yrs, another coach with no managerial experience to speak of, cheap and cheerful. If they've interviewed Wagner and Carvalhal its pick one from 2, but the wages, backroom team and transfer budget is probably out of our reach, which they'll know now hence the new candidate pool. The longer this goes on the more likely a Coyle type figure will emerge, as the bastards are trying to appoint on the cheap, again. Venkys out.

I don't know many of the details, I'm only reading this mornings press, but it seems the great Liverpool cover up is in full swing. Liverpools own players and ex-players seem to be blaming the police, whilst also claiming thousands of fake tickets were in circulation that could have broken the turnstiles. Lots of footage of Liverpool fans climbing the fences and busting through barriers, nothing new to see here, been going on for decades. I have every sympathy for anyone on the end of pepper spray, its awful stuff and its usually the innocent bystanders that bear the brunt sadly. Thankfully Real Madrid fans had no such trouble by the looks and sounds of things, neither did Rangers fans, over 100,000 in Seville, be interesting to see the bones picked out of this one.

I wouldn’t be so sure, this is Liverpool we’re talking about, media darlings. Jumping the gate isn’t anything new, always happened watching England away and I’ve seen it watching Rovers too.

Has he had a better offer? 🤣😉 https://www.barrowafc.com/news/2022/may/120522-barrow-afc-end-contract-talks-with-phil-brown-over-vacant-first-team-manager-position/ However, negotiations over him taking the role on a full-time basis have proved unsuccessful and the Club will now move in a different direction. “I would like to place on record my thanks to Phil and to Neil McDonald for their efforts since coming into the Club,” commented Chairman, Paul Hornby.

What a quality pool of managers back in 2016, just imagine not being able to pick the cream of the crop out of that dross...... NEIL Warnock admitted he spoke to Blackburn Rovers in the summer over their vacant manager’s job. Rovers interviewed Warren Joyce, Russell Slade and Nigel Adkins before appointing Owen Coyle as Paul Lambert’s replacement. “I did talk to Forest and Blackburn and one or two others and for whatever reason they never came to fruition. I'll tell you why it never came to fruition Neil, Coyle came in on less money than you did, but you had the last laugh taking Cardiff up to Premiership whilst we went into 3rd division....... Be afraid.....

This isn't only about communication its about action. Its long been a bugbear for many supporters that the new home shirt was never available before the summer holidays, as many supporters would purchase to take it away with them, well now it is, get them bought you thin people 😉 Good effort by the club. -
Bloody draw, T20? Catching practice for Lancs on Monday, great night out, the corporate was excellent 😃

Lets face it, you'd never heard of Carvalhal until I mentioned him on here as a possible replacement for Mowbray. His record isn't as good as Mowbrays, who took West Brom up as Champions, but I'd have Carlos here, I doubt your mates in Pune will pay the wages or transfer pot to make that happen, but time will tell.
-
That keeps one posters 100% record on being 100% wrong still in tact then....... I'll be stunned if Carvalhal comes to Ewood, his wage demands alone would put him out of our reach in my opinion and he'll need transfer funds, as the playing side has had no significant funding for years now. I'll caveat this also by saying Carlos has never got a team promoted to the Premiership, he failed at Wednesday and failed at Swansea, but he plays decent football and is a good guy and right now under these owners thats possibly the best we can hope for.

Had an email from the club yesterday: Watch 4 Local Derbies with a Season Ticket! In the small print is mentioned the dingles making it 5. But I wanted to praise the club for once in regards to offering fans the ability to make a charitable donation for under privileged groups: Fans will also be able to make a £5, £10, £15 or £20 charitable donation to our award-winning Blackburn Rovers Community Trust to help fund match tickets for underprivileged groups. Superb stuff, the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust should actually take over the running of the whole operation in my opinion, they're the one shining light in the current setup.
