  1. Didn’t work out that well selling Armstrong, I’m not sure it would now selling Diaz.
  2. What an absolute shambles of a transfer window, do these owners call this ‘supporting the new manager’? Its embarrassing, we are now desperate and I’ll wager JDT probably won’t see this season out as manager of Blackburn Rovers. Venkys out.
  3. Mate of mine used to do that commute for years (Stopped in 2019), took 2hrs from Rossendale most days, M6/M56 was a nightmare, Stockport pyramid too. He actually packed the job in because of the commute in the end. Unless you left at the crack of dawn and came home at 3pm you'd struggled. Be interesting to hear if its still as bad, with more people working from home these days, good luck AJW.
  4. Look at the players in that clip, some superb talent and not just Tugay. Its criminal how far we've fallen under this lot, we should never accept what they've done to this football club. Happy Birthday Tugay.
  5. I'm watching The Offer on Paramount+ at the moment, it centres around the making of The Godfather in 1972 and events that surrounded the film. Been a good watch so far, enjoying it.
  6. @tomphil Is Fury beating Usyk? I think so, but looking forward to seeing the fight if it happens. You make a good point above about Joshua not grappling, not leaning on Usyk for 10 rounds, I don't think Fury will make that mistake.
  7. Get a 2nd mortgage before you go, the prices are off the scale right now. Rovers 3 Stoke 1
  8. If anyone wants this weeks lottery numbers, PM @Tricky
  9. Would I be right in thinking that we shouldn't actually be looking at the September 1st transfer window deadline, because we rarely buy players these days anyway? We usually do our business in the loan market, feeding of the scraps and that doesn't close until later in the season?
  10. I’ve just ordered a can of Shandy bass, a John Bull with lashings of peas and gravy. Fools and money are easily parted, just ask our illustrious owners. Onwards and upwards.
  11. Rovers have sold 900 tickets for this one, not bad after the last 2 away games.
  12. Rich Shape recently said we don't, not under Mowbray in recent years, a direct quote from the club. But this is all immaterial, we need players in and quick, or its a relegation dog fight that we could lose if Saturday is anything to go by.
  13. This has been dumbed down somewhat phili with respect, anyone would think the original intention was the fool posters into thinking we actually had a £10m transfer budget, with extras on top, or my mistake maybe. I'd seriously dispute the Mowbray claim also, we paid less than £1m in transfers fees last summer, we don't pay loan fees for players either, just partial wages and they would be nowhere near £6.5m.
  14. One or two keep telling us we have £10m to spend Jim, hold your never, players must be coming and decent ones at that!
  15. Didn't you tell us yesterday he already had? and was on well over £5k a week now?
  16. Tosin stood out because he was a quality defender, he could pass and defend, his positional sense was exceptional.
  17. Sounds like Venkys and Rothwell January 2022.
  18. Is that Rob Coar who has done bugger throughout Venkys time here other than to threaten fans with his solicitor. The mans an Arsehole. John Williams and Tom Finn and you’d have a point.
  19. Spot on. Sheff Utd have brought in a central defender for £3m and 4 loan signings already, now thats a team going places and it showed on Saturday. If we're not careful we'll be fighting relegation this season, the current squad are simply not good enough.
  20. Bryan Douglas looks about 12.
  21. You only have to look back 1 season, to this time last year, where we found ourselves in exactly the same boat, its no different this year other than the manager has changed and we have another level of bureaucracy to navigate in GB. We are looking for scraps from the Premiership dining table right now and those only appear right at the last minute. The manager has changed but our methods and owners have not......
  22. If Joshua decides to keep on fighting he needs to busier than he has been throughout his career so far. Training for 8 months of the year and fighting just once isn't enough for Joshua, he's got no ring craft that you gain through the amateurs, he needs more fights. He reminded me at times on Saturday of a poor mans Frank Bruno, a very limited fighter out of his depth. He's made more money than he'll ever be able to spend, maybe he should just pack it in, but boxers rarely do, I think we'll see him back and I think the public will continue to pay to see him, but avoid Wilder at all costs, he'll end his career in my opinion.
  23. I spoke to someone with a foot in the Rovers camp at Sheff Utd yesterday, when I mentioned JDT has £10m to spend he burst out laughing, he also said Brereton isn't going anywhere unless someone bids £20m in this window. Make of that what you will.
  24. I agree with what you’re saying here Jim but in my opinion it’s not a Waggott project, it’s a Venky project. Its a Venkyism that we’ve heard many times over the past 12yrs and means we’ve fooked up another managerial appointment.
