  1. Not wanting to turn this into a bitch fest as this is a celebration of our tremendous support. The CEO and owners couldn’t care less Matty, we are a far cry from the John Williams and Tom Finn days sadly. The frustrating part is we don’t have to be, bringing in qualified people who care is relatively cheap, which adds more weight to this all being orchestrated failure.
  2. As Matty says above, you rarely get less than 1000 away fans following us these days, which as a far cry from the 200/400 I’ve seen at Liverpool, Old Trafford and Goodison in the not to distant past. It would be normal at any other club to do some market research on those that go away, are they local based that don’t attend home games due to useless owners? Or something else? But that will never happen as nobody cares enough. Support has been tremendous all season home and away for me, great effort by all concerned and shows just what the club means to many.
  3. Better get him to spec savers - Dyche is currently in La Manga.
  4. A manager sacked by Preston? With a worse record than Mowbray? After 4yrs he was sacked because he was taking them down, but he has a bit of oomph? Madness.
  5. Makes perfect sense to any football fan across the world Waco, but with Venkys and those wonderful advisors, we’ll get some absolute cheap rubbish. I fear for us next season, I’m going to PM @jim mk2 and ask him to start the relegation thread early.
  6. Loyal to Wednesday, I’m told he’s on £20k per week, highest paid player in league 1, which puts him over our wage structure. Good player, sublime pass for the goal last night, good shout Aqualung.
  7. Lads a good player, but we couldn’t afford his wages.
  8. Yes everyone wanted us to follow the Barnsley model last season, we even had a thread dedicated to it, with respect it’s a lazy argument and we’ll be playing them next season I’d wager.
  9. Do you think we should be challenging money bags Fulham, Bournemouth, Norwich, Leeds and Watford chaddy? Mowbray has had less that £1m to spend over the past 4 transfer windows, how can we compete?
  10. Have you been a Rovers fan for the past 11yrs? If so what have you learnt?
  11. Cocu was fired in November with Derby 6 points adrift at the bottom of the league, he was a disaster. On the flip side she went to Ewood this season for the night match and thought we were the best side she’s seen all season for 45minutes, ironic! Football fans eh
  12. I’ve got a mate who has a season ticket at Derby, she stopped going after 5 games under Cocu because he was bonkers, didn’t know the name of the ground and didn’t know Clough had managed Derby. Agent driven garbage TS.
  13. Not as low as if Cocu gets the gig, if that happens I’m not going again, as that appointment is agent driven and designed to line agents pockets only.
  14. One thing we do know is Venkys won’t have a plan, the best we can hope for is that Waggott does, which again puts this once great club in an awful situation. The marketing strategy - release season tickets, release the manager but don’t tell him he’s leaving and release half the team back to parent clubs with no plan to replace them. You can only imagine season tickets are flying out the door, but seriously it just goes to show this income and loyal fans support, doesn’t matter to these owners and it never will.
  15. I don’t think we need to look much further than this post by @bigdogsteel above for the answers. Mowbray knows the lad, realised he wasn’t up for the fight and would have sold him but for meddling owners, the rest is history. I firmly believe the £3m Bournemouth offered, reinvested in Jan, would have seen the club in playoffs, but we’ll never know.
  16. I wonder if he’s been reading your posts for the last 6 months OEB, striking similarities to be had 😀
  17. Depends how long it will take to find a sucker who will work for £500-750k a year.
  18. https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/19886613.amp/ They should have let the manager manage, £3.5m could have made the difference as we all know his money buys have mostly been outstanding.
  19. Even Darren Moore is beyond Venkys reach, so I think you’ll be disappointed on that one too.
  20. The first part of your post sounds like you’re a 3yr old, but I’ll ignore that bollox. The second part, is that Darren Moore who was relegated with Wednesday, has the biggest budget on the league 1 and only made the playoffs? Can you see the point being made here, where this is going?
  21. Just over £3m was turned down by meddling owners.
