What a depressing read. These owners are not interested in who manages the club as the last 11yrs shows. We need someone who is willing to work with 1 hand tied behind his back, right now I'd take Mowbray over the dross in this thread, he's tried and tested and will tide us over until these reprobates sod off. The alternative could be Phil Brown, you heard it hear first 😉

If that is anywhere near accurate we sit around 16th in the wages table for Championship, behind the likes of PNE, Reading and Millwall, no wonder we couldn't sign a striker.
-
With no transfer budget to speak of, do you think Van Hecke and Kharda fit your description? or have vastly improved the side?

Tiger Woods is back folks, great to see, The Masters wouldn’t be the same without him.

I thought it would make a change Bb.

I think this comment actually highlights the point about football fans knowing nothing about football, me included. Brereton was obviously bought as an investment for the future, I didn't realise that at the time, people within the game did, new his ability and understood with good coaching where he'd end up, he's probably a £20m+ striker in todays market, job done. Armstrong was bought as a striker for the here and now, £2.5m, he was managed and coached into a £20m striker, he certainly wasn't that when he arrived, sold, job done. Gallagher hasn't reached those heights, he never plays in his preferred position and is clearly suffering from a lack of confidence, also seen in Brereton in his first few seasons. Gallagher runs his socks off and deserves better for his endeavour and we may well see it when Brereton leaves this summer, if he does. Kaminski, Dolan, Rothwell, Travis, Lenihan, Nyambe, Pickering all improving week on week under this manager and his coaching team, really does fly in the face of some of the 'experts' on here who say the managerial team/coaching staff are weak doesn't it? Then we get on to Cooper who failed at Swansea awash with premiership cash and took over a Forest side that had just spend £20+ on players in 18 months, not over 5 seasons, in 18 months, he should get promoted with that lot, a luxury we could only dream of, we've spent £1.99 this season and are still in the hunt. Last season it was Valerien Ismael, who? A few weeks ago it was Mark Warburton and QPR, a few weeks before that it was Robins and Coventry, the list goes on, all performing worse than Mowbray might I add. Next season we could be comparing Mowbray to Phil Brown, you heard it here first, be afraid, be very afraid........😉

I’m not arguing about the job he’s done roverandout, but with over £20m spent on players by Hughton, it’s hardly comparable to us really is it?
-
Cooper was fired by Swansea where he failed on a Premiership budget and took over at Forest after Hughton had spent over £20m at players.

You can’t expect fans not to jump to the wrong conclusion with everything that’s gone on since the 3 stooges took over. But this site has become a haven for misinformation and fabricated bullshit, you can tell it a mile off.

I'm only pulling your leg. He was a phenomenal gaol scorer for the club, a proper striker as his record proves.
-
As I said I wasn't sure. But what I'm definitely sure of, is we all hope Gallagher has an upturn in fortunes soon, wouldn't you agree?
-
You're not having another Jordan Rhodes moment are you den? Sorry, couldn't resist 🤣

For a few seasons most fans would have had Gallagher over Diaz without a shadow of a doubt. Diaz looked liked he'd never kicked a football before he came to Ewood, played out of position and just dismissed as awful by many. I'm sure we all hope Gallagher has a upturn of fortune soon because we need him to show the form he displayed in early part of the season, scoring in every home league game up until November was it? I don't recall exactly.
-
Lets not forget, the same criticism being thrown at Mowbray and Gallagher, mirrors exactly what was said about Diaz and we all know how that turned out. If anyone takes the time to look back at that Diaz thread, it makes extremely painful reading and just supports the point above, we are not experts in football, although we all think we are, if we were we'd be employed in the game.
-
Managers up and down the land play players out of traditional positions, this isn't a Mowbray thing at all. I think what this demonstrates is as football fans we don't understand the game, if we did we'd probably be working in the industry and yes I've been as baffled as you by some of the decisions matt.

Welcome back.....😉 As you know, my reply was to Rigger, who believed Mowbray managing another team in the championship would automatically exclude them from any promotion campaign, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever, as we've been in the promotion places all season and remain so.

How do you come to that conclusion, his current team have been challenging for promtoion all season and still are?

Premier League season 21/22

I watched the West Ham V Everton game yesterday and I have to say even a poor Everton side looks light years ahead of anything I've seen this season in Championship. The speed of the passing, the fitness levels, just streets ahead of this division in my opinion. If we managed to scrape up through the playoffs we'd need a complete overhaul of this side and we all know Venkys would never fund such an adventure..... The best we could hope for is they take the sky money and run. -

Dack asking for the fans to rise to the occasion for the next 3 games, they need our support, the least we can do is turn up in numbers and do just that. Your club needs you. -
Its all about opinions Armchair and yours is as valid as the next posters. I don't think Mowbray has been treated any differently to the rest of them. Just recently he wanted to sell Rothwell in my opinion, blocked by the owners, his European scout found Kaminsky, then was sacked. He had his budget pulled in the summer and missed out on every number 1 target, the owners promised to replace the pitch, then pulled the plug and the list goes on. Every manager that has taken the role in the past 11yrs has had 1 hand tied behind his back, King rat aside….
