  1. Bannan is a very good player, pulls all the strings at Wednesday, far to similar to Dack though for me. Good shout though skous.
  2. @jim mk2 @den @matt83 @AllRoverAsia @chaddyrovers @Tyrone Shoelaces @47er Gents, who would you bring into the England setup to change our red ball fortunes? I'll be honest, I haven't got a clue, I think the games broken right now in this country, we could be a long time in the Ashes wilderness unless something changes and quick.
  3. Alistair Cook himself said Crawley has the technique to be one of Englands greatest ever batsmen, he shows glimpses of quality, but time will tell, he's still young and learning.
  4. I remember him joining the site and telling the board Owen Coyle wasn't given a fair chance - He almost never made it past day 1 😆
  5. I thought the Cardiff keeper had done the same as Pears with a long range shot that took a bad bounce for the Rothwell goal, then I saw it again from behind the goal. What a strike, to curl that ball into the far post from that range was tremendous by Rothwell, not ignoring the run either. Sign him up, its a no brainer.
  6. In our last 13 league games we have won 10 and only lost 1, with or most recent win only yesterday as we all know. If teams have worked us out long may that continue, we'll go up as Champions on current form. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/championship/table
  7. Maybe I was guilty of not reading the context rigger, thanks Tyrone, my apologies.
  8. Is that a Chinese proverb? I didn't see the game today, but posters are saying we were crap throughout the game and guess what? We won, 3 points came back up the M5/M6, job done. Don't talk nonsense.
  9. We are performing beyond anyone's expectations, don't over think it Tyrone, its all about the points. Look at Kennys side in 92, we couldn't buy a win after Christmas, playing awful, nobody cared after 90minutes at Wembley. We can't play like Brazil every week.
  10. If we win 1-0 absolutely Tyrone, its all about points now, I don't care how we get them.
  11. Winning games when you’re not playing well is usually the sign of a team going up. Performances don’t matter at this stage, results do.
  12. Teams that get promoted out of the Championship know how to grind out 1-0 results away from home at places like Cardiff. Fantastic result, I'd have been happy with a draw, confidence is sky high and Tony Mowbray is working miracles. Onwards and upwards
  13. I cannot believe anyone would even contemplate selling the clubs leading goal scorer in the middle of a promotion push, for any price! If we lose Brereton in January you can wave goodbye to promotion, even reinvesting some of the money brings no guarantees, look at the dingles with £25m burring a hole in the pocket with nobody to buy. These owners couldn't care less about the club losing money, they've had 10yrs to put it right and we still lose money hand over fist, the transfer fee is no good to us, we want promotion and this is the best opportunity we've had in 10yrs and it may never come again. Selling Brereton......I need a lie down......
  14. I understand the sentiment, you're quite right, we all bleed blue n white, but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth with these rats in charge of the club, sorry to bring the mood down...... What Mowbray and this young side are doing is nothing short of remarkable given the circumstances, they deserve the support of the town and the town will turn out in numbers I'm sure. Onwards and upwards.
  15. What a load of old bollox, go hard or go home.... Cardiff 1 Rovers 3
  16. The same way I felt in 2012/13 when they spent nothing and laid off backroom staff and gave that ******* rat a new contract. This isn't our first rodeo Paul and I challenge you to find 50 staff!
  17. I've been in that stand during the Premiership years when the old away end was knocked down, they put us in the top tier, nose bleed stuff. Picture from 1986 - FA Cup 4th Round - Everton 3 Rovers 1 - Best team in the land Everton at the time under Howard.
  18. I've never seen any sadly, but more and more old footage is coming out all the time, the Liverpool 83 game is new, so we live in hope. Everton away FA Cup mid 80's should be around somewhere, on an Everton season review.
  19. Thats the last thing we want, they should remain under the rock, its working a treat.
  20. Here you have a manager who clearly wants to move the club forward, clearly wants our out of contract players futures sorted out and feels powerless to do anything about it. The owners could sign those out of contract players up right now, give the club a massive boost for the promotion push, but here we are in limbo sitting 3rd in the league. This is firmly down to these useless owners, they pulled the plug in the summer, we failed to sign most of our main targets due to funding, thankfully the manager had a few rabbits in the bag to put a team out. Venkys out.
  21. Did we have a snow ball fight with the Forest fans in the first leg on the away end? My memory is not what it was 1864........
  22. This might be controversial, but Fazackerly installed as captain at the heart of the defence, to lead this young side down the home straight would be my choice.
  23. I was thinking exactly the same when Tyrone posted the team, was Tony Christie in the crowd that day? Supporting Newcastle no doubt 😄 Anyone of a certain vintage who hasn't listened to the Mark Patterson podcast should do so, excellent stuff.
