  1. I heard Nassar speaking when McCullum was appointed and he said we'd not be playing from draws, we're playing to win. I guess Stokes was staying true to that philosophy, we needed quick runs to win this game, hopefully we'll get enough to draw it now.
  2. All joking aside, the really sad thing is Rev, Venkys as we all know are billionaires, they could employ the very best manager out there willing to come to the club, yet they continue to operate with little or no ambition, gambling with the clubs future with every passing season. Go and get Dyche, thats what Jack would have done, if he says no find more candidates at that level, simple really If you have the clubs best interests at heart.
  3. Fingers crossed he is good Tormund, I’m sure we all wish him well should he sign. The whole process has been a shambles, many of us predicted it, this is more amateur hour courtesy of our wonderful owners and the dross they employ. We’ll go to games of course, but to buy season tickets for us, shows support for Waggott and support for the owners. No Nay Never.
  4. If he's announced the season ticket money will remain in the bank. Yes I'll support the guy, thats what we do, but he's not of the calibre needed to get this club into the Premiership, he's the cheapest option willing to tow the party line. Venkys out.
  5. Some superb test match cricket over the past few days, quality batting on both sides, Pope showing the quality he was picked for. Looks like draw unless the runs can come quickly for England right now. Always best to keep the powder dry I'd say. Come on England.
  6. As soon as you come to terms with that fact, Venkys are not here to move the club forward, they're not here to make this club great again, they're here only to save face in the business community in India, nothing else matters to them. Waggott has no remit other than to manage a budget, he's not interested in moving the club forward either or growing the fanbase like John Williams was, he's here to manage his budget only, because he knows Venkys will pump £30m in every year to pay the bills, no pressure, just keep the lights on. Taking all this into consideration you start to understand why we're now shopping in the bargain basement for a new manager, the better options have seen through us and we are now looking for a cheap option that can keep our heads above water, everyone just wants a quiet life, pick up the wages, its just a job to these people and things will never change until the owners sod off. As I've been saying for years now, give me administration today to get rid of these people, then the club can start the healing process, until that day comes we'll remain in a permanent state of purgatory.
  7. As the owners biggest supporter on here and someone who seems to struggle reading between the lines, this post is predictable. You started off talking about Sean Dyche, you’re now settling for JDT, I’ll let the board decide who is on the wind up and who isn’t.
  8. Spot on, I was thinking along the same lines myself Armchair, 2 episodes in and its very well done, with no 'creative content' as yet.
  9. I'm sorry 1864 but you've now turned into nothing more that BRFCs 'clickbait' in my opinion, you're claims get even more outlandish by the day. If we had any ambition at all we'd have a top class manager in the building right now, looking to bring in new recruits for the new season, instead we are lurching from one third rate cheap candidate to another, its a bloody disgrace and you're pearls of wisdom are about to be shown up for that they are, absolute bullshit. You're clearly happy with mediocrity, many of us are not.
  10. I'm watching The Staircase on Sky at the moment, the HBO Tv production with Colin Firth playing Michael Peterson. Firth as you'd expect has done an amazing job with the voice and mannerisms, just brilliant. I watched the documentary a while back, if you've not seen that you're missing a real treat, a must for true crime buffs.
  11. The ship has sailed, the best candidates have said "No thanks, we're not working for this lot and adopting the chicken farm 5 steps to success" and sadly, gone elsewhere JBiz. We are now trying to make a silk purse sow's ear, as we have done for 11yrs, its pathetic.
  12. We are well and truly scraping the bottom of the barrel now and even at this level we can't afford the dregs. Roll up roll up, season tickets for sale, roll up........
  13. For anyone who believes the club and owners have learnt any lessons over the past 11yrs, want to make amends, to do things differently for the good of the club, town and its supporters, let this sink in......... Running out of options....... Disgusting, this is exactly what you get from absent owners, 4th division CEO and poundshop football club. Venkys out
  14. The owners have known for months, Waggott too, that Mowbray wasn't having his contract extending, so in reality its probably taken 5 months not 5 weeks! Flying by the seats of the pants the lot of em.....
  15. He's a better centre half than Grant Hanley was in my opinion and he's managed to ply his trade at the highest level.
  16. I'd have saved money on appointing a new DOF and given that money to the captain of the football club. I don't know of any DOF that have got a club promoted, by I know plenty of captains that have.
  17. The new manager must be chomping at the bit to join us, especially on the back of letting the captain go to a rival club after his best season in a Rovers shirt. Chris Wilder knows a bargain when he sees one, its the same old Venkys, one tiny step forward and a massive leap backwards. Venkys out.
  18. As den says above, bloody awful camera work by Sky to pick out the wrong fielder, happened a few times last night.
  19. We already have the Celtic talent spotter in John Park, during his time at the club he identified the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Moussa Dembele and Victor Wanyama, he seems surplus to requirements now, probably doesn't fancy being restricted by which agency he can use to spot the next Virgil van Dijk....
  20. I drove through Holmfirth recently and the Mrs commented on the types of people milling around, looked like a throwback to her youth was one comment... We went home and looked at the gig guide for Holmfirth and The Fall were playing 3 nights, sold out, which explained things! I was never a fan, but clearly plenty still are.
  21. Rubbish.
  22. Property prices over here right now are off the charts Nate, I can concur with Jim and K-Hod, Ribble Valley is nice. If the Mrs wants to be close to the family, but not to close, lovely places 40 mins North of Sheffield - Penistone, Holmfirth, Denby Dale, Shelley, New Mill, Kirkburton and Meltham. Happy hunting.
  23. He was right wasn’t he? Look at the current managerial search, fans talking of Dyche, Carvalhal and Farke, managers we had zero chance of attracting because we are now more 1985 than 1995 sadly.
