Attendances: A cause for concern
Gav replied to SIMON GARNERS 194's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Who is responsible for the steady steam of loan signings and the revolving door? Mowbray is working with the budget Venkys allow him, he needs to put a side out and this is the result. I can guarantee Mowbray would have signed Tosin and he’d certainly sign most of this seasons intake, but we’re skint, with billionaire owners. The very reason we’re in the loan market is because these owners haven’t got wages under control in 10yrs. The Buck stops with these inept absent owners. -
Players having arguments with each other happens all the time in dressing rooms, its hardly anything new. One posters claimed, during the match, 'Mowbray has lost the dressing room' which is complete and utter garbage of course, but seized upon by the regular posse and they're still running with it now. Its all very 'blazing saddles'.......

It doesn’t have to be about hooliganism speedie, but following England was much better 20/30yrs ago than it is now, in my opinion. £17.50 for burger and chips? 😤

Josh Warrington at 10pm on DAZN, fighting the excellent Kiko Martinez. Josh has the pulling power of Ricky Hatton, could be a trip to Vegas for his followers if he can get things back on track, but lose tonight and he's struggling.

The picture of Tommy in the article, he looks like a Heavyweight Boxer.

Childs play, but times have moved on I guess, give me the old Wembley any day of the week.

This first half performance by England is the worst I’ve seen in many a year, absolute garbage.

We have billionaire owners, but only 1 brain cell between the 3 of them. Jack would have found a way to make us more competitive, even with FFP, these idiots couldn't care less.

Those are brilliant SanDimas, I've never seen the UEFA Cup 2006/07 footage, we went to Salzburg, good to see that again. Thanks for posting -
Do you follow our results? We scored 3 just over a week ago? Here's the match report: https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12567194/blackburn-3-1-derby-championship-highlights

The buck stops with the manager, no doubt about that, but to ignore all the factors that have played a part in this decline would be remiss of us all in my opinion.

I assume you'll not be going next season if we manage to make it into the Premiership?
-
Sitting top 6 for most of the season isn't enough for you rigger?

The promotion cassette - Superb stuff, Ronnie Clayton on commentary I seem to recall. -
I'd wager Diaz and Dolan, but lets not split hairs, you're point is a valid one. Several clubs in this league are filled with loan players, its the modern way for clubs with a limited budget, which we are. When the 3 stooges took over the club they vowed to get the wage bill under control and sacked some great players as a result. Here we are 11yrs later and its another broken promise. The buck stops with the billionaire owners, we're in the loan market because they've failed to get wages under control, simple as that for me. The managers are given a budget to work to and they do just that, its the owners that set that budget. The club have brought in well over £20m by selling Armstrong and the training ground, they need to put some of that money into the managers hand to buy some replacements, but I won't hold my breath.....

7/10 for me. If you look through the history of Blackburn Rovers, the club has never been blessed with an abundance of promotion campaigns, I think we've had 6'ish over 50yr period. Winning promotion from league 1 to Championship is constantly scoffed at on here as something thats beneath us, we're better than that, 'massive budget', illusions of Premiership grandeur from times long gone. When we scraped up through the playoffs in 1992 we had by the far the biggest budget, by far the best team and one the best managers in English football, should we have won the title? do we scoff at that achievement? Do we hell, we celebrate the hell out of it because promotion is promotion, they don't come along that often. Mowbray inherited an awful team from Coyle, a team lacking fitness, a team lacking discipline, ideas and any sort of quality. He picked that side up and had us promoted within 1 season, a tremendous effort from the dross Coyle was serving up and a night at Doncaster, as a Blackburn Rovers fan I'll never forget, superb stuff. Since we made it back into the Championship its been steady progress in my opinion, we have a CEO who knows something about football, which is better than we've had for the past 10yrs, but that bar is set low. His player purchases when a fee is involved have been tremendous, he can spot a player, no doubt about that, the free transfers and loan market is a lottery, but we've almost hit that jackpot this season, sadly I feel we'll fall short, mainly due to lack of ambition, lack of investment and general "Couldn't care less" from our absent moronic owners. This season has been the best season we've had since these morons took over, I've actually started to enjoy watching us again. We have exciting players like Dolan and Khedra who get you out of your seat, Travis kicking lumps out of the opposition and we have the calmness and quality of Van Hecke at the back and lets not forget Diaz who has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime in a season. Its been frustrating under Mowbray at times no doubt about that, team selection has bordered on bonkers, but thats happening across the leagues right now, maybe they know something we don't? The conditions he's working under, the absent owners, the lack of knowledge at boardroom level, the lack of footballing people in the club, the meddling from Pune, the lack of budget, the lack of communication, it kills businesses and its almost killed our great football club, its certainly ripped its heart out. So all in all he's done a good job with some real highs and I'd have no problems at all with him remaining at the club next season, regardless of the outcome this season.

I remember those videos with the photocopied sleeves being £25 for half a season, or certainly were for 1 season. Robbing barstewards. -
Really should put things into perspective, but don't hold your breath Herbie.

That’s what smoking 40 a day does for you, great player though.

I think it did chaddy, I can still see it now, superb stuff.

Mahmood, he’s taken 2 wickets so far, Leach has taken the other.

Come on England. WI 39-3 with 50 overs to go.
