  1. When was the last time you saw a Rovers team as united as this one?
  2. Its 2021 not 1971 👍 Some of the biggest and best companies in the world use things like MBTI which helps people gain insights about how they work and learn, its a bit old hat now with new personality type indicator tools out there, but it does work and can give managers and employees that extra 1%.
  3. As good a place as any to put this, great initiative by the club and Benefit Mankind. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/19758147.rovers-fans-urged-buy-blanket-help-homeless/
  4. You need look no further than these stadium busting gates from the mid 80's, absolutely pathetic, I've seen more at Mill Hill St Peters. 19 December 1986 Cardiff City (H) 1–3 Hoskin 65' 1,717 26 December 1986 Wrexham (A) 2–2 Parker 64', Murphy 71' 4,568 27 December 1986 Crewe Alexandra (H) 4–0 Murphy 16', Hoskin 47', James 67', Malley 76' 2,560 1 January 1987 Rochdale (H) 0–3 4,217 3 January 1987 Lincoln City (A) 1–2 Murphy 15' 2,343 24 January 1987 Hereford United (H) 0–6 1,961 31 January 1987 Hartlepool United (A) 2–2 Malley 10', Grewcock 40' 1,506 6 February 1987 Swansea City (A) 2–2 Murphy 29', Hoskin 58' 6,015 14 February 1987 Wolverhampton Wanderers (H) 2–5 James 15', Grewcock 22' 2,947 21 February 1987 Halifax Town (A) 2–2 James 62', Grewcock 81' 1,735 28 February 1987 Tranmere Rovers (H) 2–2 Grewcock 33', Rodaway 40' 2,394 4 March 1987 Peterborough United (A) 1–1 Grewcock 60' 4,304 7 March 1987 Exeter City (H) 0–0 1,792 13 March 1987 Stockport County (A) 1–0 Hoskin 16' 2,500 17 March 1987 Northampton Town (H) 2–1 Hoskin 39', Gallagher 70' 2,691 21 March 1987 Aldershot (H) 0–1 2,690 28 March 1987 Preston North End (A) 1–2 Parker 75' 10,716 4 April 1987 Cambridge United (H) 0–2 1,874
  5. Did you exclude former Premiership teams, if you did I can't see it?
  6. You said "Mowbray spent more on 2 players than most in the division" thats not true. We can start with Swansea if you like, as you work there, Wilfred Bonny - £12m from Man City. We signed Richie Smallwood and I know who got the better deal.
  7. If you can't spot a tongue in cheek remark Rev, I can't help you.
  8. This is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time, had me crying.
  9. The assertion was: He’s spent more on two players than most of the division I was just pointing out that was bobbins. In response to your post Sparks, I think he now deserves until the end of the season, but you're not wrong either, most of us would have sacked him a while back.
  10. Fulham, Swansea, West Brom, Sheff Utd, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Bristol City, Reading, Forest and Derby have all spent more than Mowbray I think and thats just off the top of my head and doesn't include the promotion teams from previous seasons. If its about money alone, we're most certainly mid table.
  11. Tell you what, if he manages to get this basket case of a club promoted he'll go down in history as Blackburn Rovers great, a legend and I'll be campaigning for a statue next to Jacks. That feat would be stratospheric.
  12. I've just noticed this in the images file, this is the first computer I played football manager on back in the early 80's, unbelievably basic, but surprisingly addictive.
  13. Just watching league 1 bound Derby toil against QPR and they have a potential buyer in the stands tonight, Kris Kirchner. A deal is far from done, but this just goes to show clubs with history and tradition will always have suitors willing to take the clubs like ours on. Venkys out.
  14. I’ve had some miserable away trips watching Rovers, Palace always seems a long journey, Plymouth, Gillingham, but…. AS Venus from Tahiti make 20,000-mile round trip for French Cup game against Trelissac https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59277738
  15. Try telling that to Ipswich, Sunderland and Portsmouth....Sheff Weds are struggling, if it was only about budgets Sunderland, Ipswich and Pompey would be in the championship. The side was a shambles under Coyle, probably the worst I've seen in my years supporting the club, Mowbray turned things around.
  16. Did you forget the promotion season? Or purposely miss it out as it doesn't fit the narrative? Send me your seat number and section, I'm coming sitting next to you for the PNE game, check its facing the pitch and talk some bloody sense into you 😉
  17. Nowt as strange as football fans...... We site 4th in Championship, the side is playing well and posters want to sell players in January? Are you mad? We keep this side together at all costs, we add to the squad in January, lets hope some of that Armstrong money actually reaches Mowbray, it could make the difference. The problem we're going to have is glaringly obvious, we have a threadbare squad, one of two key lengthy injuries and we're in trouble, lets hope we stay clear of that scenario. Buy a couple of quality additions and keep the current squad together, we could have a chance of a playoff place.
  18. Brilliant 😂 I actually agree with some of your posts Wood26, but that comment is stretching it by miles, you hooked a few though, congratulations. What I would say is he'll be remembered fondly in our house for the promotion season from league 1. Just like Kendal and Gordon Lee, who also achieved promotion from league 1. We haven't had many promotions in my time supporting the club, I'll never take them for granted, great night:
  19. Did you have a hand in Preston releasing Dolan for nothing Sparks?
  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/59432187 Michael Vaughan trying to save his sponsorship deals, he's got form online from 2017 and 2018, we can make up our owns minds thanks Michael.
  21. We'll never see another 'super group' like this one
  22. This is a brilliant track, from 1988, you must listen to this album version loud, genius.
