  1. Its all conjecture of course, but nobody is telling me that Ryan Nyambe is looking for a deal beyond our means.
  2. Another good young local band, very New Order Esq:
  3. Another player out of contract chaddy, the point still stands. Its no way to run a football club and shows the utter disregard these owners have for the fans and the club. They quite simply couldn't care less.
  4. Increase the terms chaddy, like any normal club would do. Nyambe is reported to be one of the lowest paid players at the club. He’s our longest serving player I think and decent at this level. Rothwell won’t sign, I get that, same with Armstrong, no issues with that, but Nyambe? The owners are just inept and like losing money and assets. Venkys out
  5. I understand the Rothwell stance, he's had a better offer clearly, but even in Rothwells case he should have been tied down to a longer deal and that deal improved 12 months in. Its an awful business model to lose good staff to competitors, no matter what industry you're in.
  6. Great I say. You can park closer to the ground, no queue for the pie stand, no queue for shandy and you get away quicker. Oh yes and the football isn't bad either. Onwards and upwards.
  7. Are you honestly trying to tell me that Ryan Nyambe is pricing himself out of a deal? Do you really believe that to be the case? One of the reasons Lambert walked was because the owners refused to talk about new contracts for players and backroom staff, its always been an issue under these inept owners.
  8. Would the scenario you paint have happened year in year out under John Williams and Jack Walker?
  9. Its absolutely criminal that these inept owners allow any contracts to run down, but someone like Nyambi, who is reported to be on league 1 wages, is just wrong. He's turned into a decent Championship player, a loyal servant to the club and they won't reward him with a decent contract. Badly advised of ******* incompetence?
  10. They've been fantastic when a fee has been involved. Armstrong, Kaminski, Dack, Dolan, Rothwell, Brereton, Gallagher - We paid a fee for these players, money very well spent. Mowbray was unlucky with the Ayala injury, he was that defender, we can all see now what quality that lad has got, another one Mowbray got right.
  11. The last home game against Sheff Utd was one of the best performances I can remember in a long while. Lets hope for more of the same tonight, but you can guarantee Posh won't come to play, they'll probably park the bus.
  12. Get well soon to you both, this bloody pandemic is far from over as you can both testify to.
  13. Nobody really knows Islander, lets be honest, who wanted to buy Raul from Real Madrid? Balaji!
  14. I think you misunderstand my point, or maybe I do yours Bigdogs. All that Balaji was doing was providing the money, he wasn't aware of the players involved, but I take your point on a pet project, is he even capable of conjuring up such an idea 😃
  15. I've given my opinion on the Balaji factor already. Brereton wasn't available at all until we weighed in with a bid they couldn't turn down, that came out of the blue and took Forest and everyone else by surprise.
  16. My apologies Islander, I shouldn't have said striker, young domestic players like Dack, Cairney, Duffy, Gallagher, Brereton, Dolan (Free), Rothwell, Armstrong as I mentioned to you last night. As for your final question on Brereton, Mowbray picked and developed the player, Balaji paid for it, Mowbray gets the praise surely? He's certainly had pelters for the past 2 seasons for him being cr@p......you can't have it both ways.
  17. I think you're spot on about the Balaji purchase of Brereton, its not like it hadn't happened before (Rhodes). Nobody in the press had even the slightest hint we were after him, which tells its own story, it came right out of the blue, something didn't add up. It seems to me like Mowbray wasn't given the option of spending £7m on players, he was given 1 choice, young domestic striker to develop and sell on, then Balaji can show off to his mates in India. Looks to have worked too.
  18. Maybe you missed the point being made by posters earlier, have a read back, it was centred around Balaji wanting to spend a few quid to develop players and sell them on, not squad players with no sell on value.
  19. If you look at the players bought for a fee, which is where you’re more likely to see any sell on value, Spartakfenni was saying the remit was young English type players to develop and sell on: Dack, Cairney, Duffy, Gallagher, Brereton, Dolan (Free), Rothwell, Armstrong off the top of my head. Those players seem to fit the bill perfectly and align with what Fenni was saying.
  20. Its like you've been asleep from 2011 - 2017? Educate yourself, the stark reality is laid bare here for all to see and none of this has anything to do with Mowbray, Waggott or Venus. http://priceoffootball.com/blackburn-rovers-chicken-little/ Venkys out
  21. I think thats stretching it a bit USA, we had another 35 games to go after the Cardiff away debacle.
