  1. Its a social media thing roversfan99. Most of the fans that walk through the gates are behind him and behind the team and why wouldn't they be, after a season that has so far gone beyond anyone's wildest expectations and its not over yet.
  2. Them leaving is all that matters Tyrone, everything else is incidental.
  3. Not sure why we need a new thread here, not taking anything away from the first post, excellent stuff. Mowbray has been excellent this season, the players have been excellent and the fans that walk through the turnstiles have been excellent too. If we make the playoffs the manger deserves a new contract, sign him up. Venkys Out.
  4. Joe Root has acquired a head band….. What would Brian Close and Fred Truman have thought…….
  5. Lets just agree the Telegraph are telling lies, thats probably easiest all round....
  6. I never said he was at Stoke on £3m+ wages? Apologies if I gave that impression. That is what WE were quoted, as reported in Telegraph. Mowbray went for strikers, the money wasn't available, to bring this back to the original point.
  7. Summer deal was a loan, then Bordeaux slapped a hefty price tag on him. As for Obefemi, we couldn't match the wages, it had nothing to do with moving North (Glad we never signed him, he looked awful against us even though he scored) It all boils down to lack of funding and we are where we are sadly. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/blackburn-rovers-provided-transfer-update-on-23-year-old-striker/ It means the striker is an attractive proposition for anyone who wants to bring in a forward this month – and Blackburn continue to be linked with his services. However, for any deal to be done during this window, it looks like Bordeaux want to get rid of the player permanently. The Lancashire Telegraph claims that they want some extra money this window and that the fee could be around £3m. The issue is whether Blackburn are prepared to pay not just for his services full-time but to pay such a significant fee without a player sale.
  8. Maja was close to £3m+ wages I'm led to believe and Obafemi was out of our price range too. 2 strikers the manager has been chasing for a while, we couldn't afford either booth, thats all I'm saying.
  9. We would have bought Obafemi who we chased all summer, or long term target Maja if the money had been available tomphil, we simply got priced out of both deals, thats very clear.
  10. Excellent recovery by Bairstow, superb 100 under the circumstances supported by Foakes. Woakes could be a match winner for England in this pitch, get a few more to give him something to ball at.
  11. That was 2019, the world has moved on.
  12. He tried to sign Maja in January, no funds….. Obafemi in August, no funds…..
  13. We can still win this. Come on Rovers.
  14. We are battering one of the form teams of the division, it’s only a matter of time surely.
  15. Bairstow scores 100 for England. Rovers winner coming shortly, battering them.
  16. We tried to sign Maja, but the owners refused to fund it. Obafemi was another, owners refused to fund it. Jack Walker wouldn’t have hid behind FFP, he’d have found a way to fund it.
  17. He’s getting a new contest, haven’t you heard?
  18. I need to up my game, why the hell are we starting a test match on a Tuesday? Totally passed me by this....... 39/3 England........
  19. The sort of player that gets you off your seat, a player you'd pay the admission fee alone to watch. He still has plenty to learn as you say 47er, but he's an exciting talent for sure.
  20. Rovers fans gallery from Fulham away, great following: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19972436.gallery-nearly-2-000-blackburn-rovers-fans-make-journey-fulham/#gallery0
  21. I’d follow the Bournemouth model, the fans saved that club against all the odds. Bottom line is, I’m just a fan that realises being a slave to the Venky £ has no longevity, we will never progress under these owners.
  22. We saw it throughout the 80’s my friend, this isn’t our first rodeo, it was obvious. Safe journey home to the 1600 fans, you’re a credit to the town and club.
  23. All Rovers fans have been positive haven’t they? Why would Rovers fans be critical of a winning run? That said, I’ve never hid the fact I want these owners gone, if conference North is what it takes, sign me up now. A good run and punching above our budget will never change that.
