Get the guitar out Len, we could be on to a winner with that title.

Its not true, people can't see past the Diaz and Gallagher transfers, where he was exceptionally backed to the amazement of everyone in the fanbase, but that was years ago. Posters will point to wages, everyone pays wages, many in this league better than we do, its been one massive dumbing down exercise over the past 3yrs to the point where we are still haemorrhaging money, but the likes of Millwall and PNE are paying higher wages! Where was the Armstarong money in January to bring some quality in? Why wouldn't the owners allow Mowbray to cash in on the awful Rothwell, who has clearly downed tools since his move to Bournemouth fell through? The buck stops with these owners and it always will, regardless of which no mark walks through the door next and starts a 3yrs building job with no budget. Venkys Out.

The problem with the ‘reset’ which saw Lambert employed as manager, accounted to nothing more than promises of funds to revamp the club from top to bottom, promises that were reneged upon by the owners within a month of him taking charge. Lambert walked in quick time and I have nothing but respect for him doing that. This doesn’t get any better until the owners sod off.

After Coyle was put out his misery back in 2017 these were the runners and riders for the managers job, frightening…. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink 7/2 Kenny Jackett 5/1 Steve Cotterill 5/1 Dougie Freedman 11/2 Nigel Adkins 6/1 Tim Sherwood 7/1 Billy Davies 10/1 Alex McLeish 10/1 Gary Rowett 10/1 Nigel Pearson 12/1 Mark Warburton 16/1

Yes I remember that. Liam Brady was exceptional in 2nd half, ran the show and almost brought them back into it.

It actually took relegation at home to Wigan for the crowd (26,000) to get really pissed off with Kean in any sort of numbers. As we have 15k less fans right now, it would hardly be worth it......
-
Just been told Liam Gallagher is playing at King Georges Hall April 27th, Gary Aspen the Adidas chap has played a part in bringing him to Blackburn. Liam is filling stadiums currently, so its a real coup from Blackburn.

I'm sure its not past you by that the initial claims have now been drastically watered down and Revidige isn't the only one, 1864 now realises he's had the wool pulled over his eyes too. It doesn't take much to read between the lines, history is repeating itself, the lessons are again right in front of us and this doesn't get any better until the owners are gone, everything else is a side show. Give me administration right now and relegation, anything to get rid of these bastards in Pune.
-
Did you say the same when Venkys gave Kean a new deal after winning only 3 games in 26? That made him accountable alright, what utter bullshit. Its good to know that things could actually be worse I guess........
-
I try not to divide and pigeon hole the fan base, but this short sighted bullshit, played out every few years by blaming whichever clown has been employed as manager pushes my buttons. I criticized a poster a few days ago for saying some sections of the fanbase deserve this, I firmly believe non of the fanbase deserve to be treated like this, what those idiots in Pune have done to the club, the town and its supporters is criminal. But what is even more criminal, is the fans that support the owners, by all means support the team, support the manager, but after 11yrs of Venkys, how the hell can you justify supporting these moronic owners? You should hang your heads in shame.
-
My sources tell me, 2 Boro season ticket holders by the way ……Hated on Teeside, played everyone out of position and lost the dressing room. You really wouldn’t…….and they’re not to happy with Wilder either, 4 games, no wins and no goals….
-
I tell you what, I’m not absolving Mowbray of blame here, but he’s been let down badly by this bunch of bottlers that call themselves Blackburn Rovers players. Far to many just couldn’t give a toss as we’ve seen over this Easter weekend and he backs them through thick and thin. Bottlers.
-
Nobody is going to sack Mowbray, they don't have any authority and even if they did they'd have to pay him compensation and these cheap bastard owners don't like paying compensation, but seen quite content to piss millions up the wall on wages year on year. Figure that one out. VENKYS OUT
-
To lose to a Stoke side with nothing to play for is a disgrace, he should have been fired at the weekend, he should be fired now, but who would do it? These owners have destroyed this club and continue to do so. VENKYS OUT

I'm not sure about this potential fight with Khan, or Brook for that matter, but as Conor said on Saturday, money talks and it would sell out. As you say they should be looking at the likes of Broner or Garcia next, but Eddie likes to milk his cash cows, so I won't be holding my breath. Nathan Heaney came through a tough test against an Argentinian at the same time as Benn was fighting, he looks like bambi on ice at times, a decent domestic fighter with plenty of Stoke lads following him, which makes him a bit more box office than most at his level.

I know you're having a bit of a laugh here and you make your own luck in football, but we've been on the end of some awful refereeing this season, the standard has plummeted to the worse I can ever remember. It always seems worse when you can't buy a win or score goals, but I'm sure I'm not on my own in thinking they've been awful. Rovers 1 Stoke 1 - Players have given up.

We still have an outside chance of a playoff place, we have fans flying in from the other side of the world. Let this post sink in…,

Add to that Diaz and Kaninski will be sold in January, Dack will never play again, Ayala wasn’t at the ground against Blackpool ( He was singing autographs at 2pm behind Bburn end) Allardyce to burnley and he’s now stollen Paul’s claim that Mowbrays going to WBA 😂 Bullshitter.
-
Post you facts tomphil, the stage is yours.

I don't know what TM is on, but the way the clubs run it will be peanuts. Allardyce was on over £1m a season. Rat signed a deal after the Wigan away game which increased his salary to £1.5m (But reduced his compensation package substantially) I want to throw up........ Berg and Appleton were on £400/£500k, Berg took us to the high court get his compensation, Appleton threatened legal proceedings and was paid his. Bowyer was cheap as chips, coach proving himself and Paul Lambert thought the promises made by the club were to good to be true and wisely inserted a clause to leave if they never followed through on the rebuilding plan/money, which he triggered in no time after Venkys refused to offer new contracts to key staff and stopped answering his calls. Coyle undercut Warnocks pay demands and was given the job, Coyle offered to also work with no transfer budget, I think Warnock is on record as saying he wanted £1m. To put things into perspective, the highest paid Championship manager in 2020 was on £3.6m a year, the average managerial wage was £800k. We have learned over the weekend that Dyche was on £7m a season and he'll be one of the worst paid in the division. Mowbray will be on peanuts, we are a pound shop football club these days and the next man will be unemployed and willing to work for nowt.

The State of Ewood Park!

At the start of this season they didn’t have enough seats for season ticket holders, they had to take turns to attend! -
I agree with your main point, but we aren’t paying Mowbray big wages, that’s why he’s here, because he fits the Venky model of being cheap and available.
-
Nice bit of research Jimmy, but why hasn't the better half got you putting up some shelving or painting a fence this sunny bank holiday weekend? I've just looked at the side he took up as Champions: West Brom: Kiely, Hoefkens, Barnett, Clement (Albrechtsen 53), Robinson (Moore 72), Koren, Gera, Brunt, Greening, Bednar (Kim 46), Phillips. Subs Not Used: Miller, Morrison. I'd wager the entire was wasn't worth much more £25m back then let alone the bench! Anyway must run, another fence panel to paint......

I think I get off quite lightly on the social media side if things, I only read this site. Maybe that’s why I find some of the views on here over the top, if I was across all platforms it probably wouldn’t be so strange to read, but I think I’ll save my sanity and stick to just here. -
