  1. Just thought the young lass Grace from Bburn who came second on x-factor deserves a mention. Credit to the town, genuine girl and family, and put the town on the map for the right reasons. Well done Grace.
  2. Absolutely superb oldjamfan, pure theatre.
  3. Right from day one every commentator has criticised the England bowling attack for pitching the ball to short. If this is a tactic it's not working, if it's poor bowling then it's a disgrace from Broad and Anderson. The batting has been amateurish yes, but these 2 have been around for long enough to know what's required, just watch the Aussies!
  4. Good start, 20 runs on the board but Lion looking dangerous. Need 300 at a minimum, but 350 would be better, more coffee required.
  5. Sounds a bit 'rough' TS?
  6. We'd have no problem retievin the ball.
  7. Bullsh1t corner is the best place for dogs
  8. Its official, the worlds a worse place without REM, but what they've left us with is a treasure trove of fantastic music. The reason for this completely off the cuff statement is I've just dug out loads of my old music in various formats and REM's 'Reckoning' - 'Lifes rich pageant' - 'Murmur' haven't been off since i repatriated them. Plenty more stuff to go at, including a copy of Richard Harris MacArthur Park signed by members of Dollar! Must be worth a fortune! Exciting stuff eh
  9. I agree in principle with the last paragraph, but long after Leeds have bored everyone with talk about crowds, history and cups, little old Bournemouth will have bought and sold them 10 times over. Times are changing, and you're now a big club if you have money and playing in the top league ensues that, that's the modern day criteria in my book.
  10. Started well the Warriors
  11. No excuse for poor shots den Root did the right thing in my book declaring, but dropping 4 catches and some tremendous batting by the WI made for a fantastic test match and well deserved win for WI. Looking forward to the next one now, who needs football....
  12. Irrelevant Chaddy, this is the Ashes we're talking about in Australia, form goes out of the window. England just declared, well done Joe Root, shows confidence in our bowling attack after a poor showing in the 1st innings, Anderson aside. Just over 8,000 on today, that's a poor showing in my book despite the prices.
  13. Sorry den but it doesn't excuse poor shot selection, you'll not get away with it in Australia where bags of runs are required to win, happens far to often for my liking.
  14. Bairstow even worse, what the hell was that shot with the game in the balance. Boycott just said "More brains in a pork pie" We've lost the ability to wait for the bad balls. we've lost the ability to block up an end, its probably the T20 era, which is fantastic but doesn't help produce players who have the brains, temperament and ability to play test match innings.
  15. Bizarre shot by Stokes, not whats required with our backs to the wall, although the Windies don't look interested which is equally as bizarre.
  16. Flintoff spoiling the T20 cricket again with his stupid remarks on commentary. "Singles are no good for Somerset" They're sat on 71-2 with 10 overs to go, singles are fine...
  17. The wild Rover - No Ney Never
  18. You can only take on the team thats put in front on you Baz, looked competitive at 39-2 70,000 tickets sold for this test I heard, so its here to stay, but a while until we see another due to scheduling I believe.
  19. Great to see one of the smaller clubs sticking it up the big boys
  20. Really enjoying the cricket today, a breath of fresh air to be watching cricket on home soil well into the evening, although the W indies are pretty poor. Just witnessed the Windies coach almost have a heart attack, got Root out with seam bowling, then they declined the new ball and played 2 spinners! at a time when the new ball is supposed to be at its most dangerous playing seam! The coach was having kittens
  21. Flintoff turning the T20 coverage into a lads locker room, he should stick to pantomime and leave the comedy to Bumble.
  22. Its called having a difference of opinion sparks, debate, the sort of thing that keeps places like Brfcs going, you should try it On Radio Rovers, I hated it, slagged it off all the time, but I never wanted the first football radio station in the UK to be shut down. Its just another example of an incompetent disgusting regime ruining this once proud football club. Maybe a certain engineering firm can sponsor it next season for grand sum of a bag of washers and play its own adds 24/7? what an idea, I should work in marketing!
  23. Bob Dylan - I want you
  24. The forecast isn't good den, almost sold out for first few days, really captured the imagination, let's hope the rain stays away. Shouldn't need long to beat the Windies.
