That *was* the January Window

Premiership quality on his day, another very good Mowbray signing, but his wages are probably 4/5 times what we pay these days, never going to happen sadly. -

Lets not beat around the bush here, you've made the same prediction, selling our best player, every January for the past 10yrs and have a ZERO success rate. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. -
I was in the big city last night (Sheffield) for drinks at Public and seafood at Native. First of all it was Public, which used to be a public toilet back in the day, now doing table service of amazing cocktails, bring the plastic though as its not cheap, but the quality and range of the drinks was superb: https://www.publicpublic.co.uk/ Then we had a table booked at Native, one of only a handful of Seafood restaurants in the city. Our group loved the place on the whole, Lobster, Crab, Turbot, Scallops, Bream and Gurnard on offer, but its was insanely expensive for me. Turbot £32, king of fish I get that, but it came with a sauce and nothing else. Starters all £13+ - I don't mind spending money on food, but it just seemed a bit over the top for me, but I will go back as what was served was excellent. https://www.nativejhmann.co.uk/

How’s the QEGS delegation getting on Rev? Are we seeing any progress? It’s easy to criticise from the comfort of the armchair, I’ve done it, but knowing one or two on the FF they’ll ask the questions when the time is right, it’s not about wading in on every subject or you lose credibility. -

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67899988 Reading fans invaded the pitch today after 20mins in protest against god awful owners, match abandoned. Direct action - I salute every one of you. Venkys out! -
Lets all agree it was a foul on the keeper, it makes the 92nd minute equaliser even better.

How long has he been here Eddie? I believe he's played over 200 games for us? But you're right of course, he's struggled with injury over the past 2 seasons. Most fans, if the money was reinvested, would take the deal, but we all know that money probably wouldn't see the light of day, even if someone was willing to pay a decent fee. -
I'll translate what Kaminski was saying in the clip above: "Shut up you fat burnley bastard"

Sky have a lot to answer for, football on a Monday night was rare before that lot came along..... Definitely taken some the sheen off the tie for me 🙄 Why the tie has any sheen at all is another question, its against 3rd division Wrexham for goodness sake, but I want to spend 90 minutes berating that **** McClean and now I possibly can't go.....

I can't answer the question with just yes or no rigger. If you take this down to barebones - Striker = goals = No, not good enough, I think he scores 1 goal every 4 games. If you look at his all round contribution to the team, every manager has played him out of the wing, his tracking back - Yes I will never criticize any player that is selected to play for Blackburn Rovers and puts in 110% every game, Gallagher falls into that category for me. -

Which has nothing to do with Gallagher himself, he clearly is doing his bit as the stats suggest. -

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt14452776/ I can’t say I’ve seen The Bear on Netflix, a series the rest of the family keep saying, especially one episode in series 2, is the best bit of Tv they have ever seen! Praise indeed, I’m going to give it a go.

I'd rather have the player right now personally. -

We've missed Gallagher whilst he been out injured, I would have thought that was obvious for all to see. I'm not saying don't sell him if a decent offer came in, he's never going to be a 20 goal a season man, but we've missed the lad, we've missed his work ethic and he's a senior member of the squad, we are missing some of them! -

Really joey? Turned it on for the cameras in FA Cup I seem to recall, otherwise he was 'injured' or missing. He was one of the worst players ever to pull on the shirt due to his attitude and his refusal to play towards the end of his time here... -
The clip is a little long, but you get the drift, my go to chippy in Blackburn

At a a normal club you'd hold on to your prized assets like your life depended on it, sadly we are no longer a normal club. If anyone came in for Wharton today with £20m, that would be reinvested, I'd bite the hand off. Back in the real world, we'll probably sell him anyway and the money will never see the light of day....... Venkys out. -
Mods - Can we permanently pin this to the top? Some great clips and archive in here, posters have made a real effort on content.

Does your seat face the pitch Rev? This post is bizarre. He won fans player of the year and players player of the year, was called up to the Scotland squad and was our most consistent performer last season. He's been an excellent buy. -

Thanks for that tomphil. We are a basket case of a club, so anything is possible, but are we believing the new regime are buying the old regimes targets? I’m not convinced, but its only my opinion. Either way 2 very good signings. -

I’m only answering your post marton, it’s how this messageboard stuff works….. As for Broughton on Sammie, I’ve not read the comments you refer to, but don’t tell me, Waggott is taking some of the credit and hammering Gregg in the process? 😂 -

Broughton signed Sammie Szmodics, who given the circumstances the club now finds itself in, is probably the best pound for pound player we've had in over a decade. He also signed Dominic Hyam who is a very good player too. What you have to understand is all our targets were thrown in the bin in the summer when Venkys turned off the tap, yes he'll have had a plan B and Plan C, but you're shopping in the bargain basement at that stage and its a lottery. On the game yesterday, what's not to like? Sammie getting a hattrick, some great football from Rovers at times and a much deserved home win. As Matty said a few pages back, if you don't enjoy that yesterday why bother.....
