England win the toss and bowl first - A big cheer went up around the ground!
-
All out pace attack from England today on a seam friendly pitch, cloudy overcast conditions in St John’s Wood, but who will win the toss? It’s the 2nd Ashes test and I for one can’t wait. Come on England 🏴

Yes and that is one of the most enjoyable aspects of any festival, discovering new music o2g, I really enjoyed The Tesky Brothers, they've been around a while but I'd never heard them. Reading online Rick Astley doing a entire set of Smiths songs, with The Blossoms? in a tent, was many peoples highlight! Takes all sorts I guess.

Glad they didn't drop Bairstow, he needs games after a long layoff and did more than enough with the bat to retain his place. More of the same please, but lets have a (w) in the results column.

I'm really surprised to read that, I'm not a massive of Elton John fan myself, but as a music fan I can appreciate his body of work, his set was superb on Tv, he's 76yrs old and hardly missed a note. I read today it was the largest ever crowd for an artist at Glastonbury, around 120k people and 7m on Tv, a send off he deserves in my book, a real legend, where are the next legends coming from......

He always came across as a really nice chap.

Cat Stevens is available on BBC iPlayer Tyrone, PC, iPad or behind the red button on Smart Tv.

****Disclaimer, this is not financial advice and you proceed of your own free will**** The reason for this post is to hopefully point posters with crypto currency already in a wallet (Meta Mask etc) to some free money! https://pulsex.com/ is the worlds largest free airdrop, its a fork of the Ethereum network but with much cheaper gas fees to make transactions. A snapshot was taken of every wallet holder on Ethereum back in May, any ERC20 coins you held on that day will be replicated on Pulsechain, that is where the free money comes in. For example, holders of Shiba, Dodge, Hex or any coin on Eth will have a free copy on Pulsechain, you just need to connect your wallet using only offical links and setup the link to PulseChain and see what you have. You can sell immediately, hold or do whatever this new fork allows you to, keep in mind its only 40 days old with lots of features still to come. The founder is Richard Heart - https://twitter.com/RichardHeartWin?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author You'll read many stories about Richard, I've been using his coin (Hex) and products for years and never had any issues, many millionaires have been made from Hex. If you are interested I'll try and help, but my advice is to read up on Pulsechain and get an understanding of how it works before claiming the free tokens, lots of scams out there, stick to Richard Hearts official channels only. https://pulsex.com/ https://app.pulsex.com/swap - Where you trade coins (Like Uniswap) https://dexscreener.com/pulsechain - Prices of coins on Pulsechain https://hex.com/ - His original project still going strong and up 10,000x since launch! Times are tough right now, I hope this helps one or two, but please be careful, lots of scams out there right now.

I watched Cat Stevens after Elton, superb stuff. Where are all the current headliners? I love seeing the legends, but Arctic Monkeys aside is pretty barren right now.
-
Elton is smashing the Pyramid stage right now!
-
Just watched The Pretenders set from Glastonbury, which included cameos from Dave Grohl and Johnny Marr. Chrissie Hynde was excellent, the voice is as good as ever, superb stuff. I’ve been told Rick Astley is ‘Must See’ with cover of AcDC Highway from hell and plenty of Smiths thrown in!

Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?
Gav replied to damo100's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
And at those prices as well 😉 -
Middlesex, not won in 14 games, just beat Surrey chasing down 252 with 4 balls to spare and won by 7 wickets! T20 at its best.
-
I used to love watching England away, more than Rovers most of the time, even with everything that came with it. I saw the England fans on YouTube in Malta thinking, nah, I'd not fit in with that lot, nor would they want me to either! As you say it was fun whilst it lasted matt83.

Forgive me for posting a link to possibly the worst rag out there, but Oliver Holt is a decent journalist and puts one or two back in the box with this assessment of the first test. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-12216307/OLIVER-HOLT-Test-match-not-mistakes-glory.html

Whilst it was disappointing to lose, the gap has closed considerably since the mauling we got last time around. **Gav staying positive**

Bairstow is in for his runs mainly, he cost us this time around with the gloves, no doubt about that, but the best place to get back to match fitness is in the middle for me, but I do fully accept its a risk. Will he be picked for Lords is the question.
-
Absolutely, me too.
-
Stokes declared with a view to the weather on day 2, which were overcast conditions throughout the morning and England took 3 wickets, left Aussies on 64/3, job done and for me shows the declaration was the right decision. What happened after that, Moeen injury and shelving 5 excellent chances did for us, not the declaration in my opinion 47er.
-
Dropped catches lost us this test, his record as captain is outstanding.
-
Spot on chaddy, don’t forget WINNING cricket too. Stokes record speaks for itself: Ten wins in 12 as captain, famous victories over New Zealand, India, South Africa and Pakistan, all through a style of play in his image, underlined Stokes' worth as a captain. The individuals and the team have not just mimicked his approach to cricket but also his approach to all of them.
-
You’ve got to give the Aussies credit for snatching that game away from England in the manner they did. Cummins and Lyon were superb at the end under tremendous pressure at a sold out Edgbaston. The public can’t get enough of this current England side, tickets are like gold dust, can’t wait for Lords!
-
They say with age comes wisdom, what absolute tripe! Great test, England lost this in the field shelving 5 golden chances to take Aussie wickets. Cummings knock was superb, credit where credits due. Can’t wait for the next test.
