  1. I’ve just watched the best fight I’ve seen a while: Andrew Cain from Liverpool v Baluta from Romania - BT Sport last night on the Nathan Heaney card, what a scrap. I’ll not give the spoiler.
  2. Fans queuing for those precious City tickets Tyrone:
  3. I'm booked in at Cartford Inn again in a few weeks time, not been for a while living outside the area, but looking forward to it, never fails to deliver.
  4. Some of the larger away followings got Darwen End and Darwen End Enclosure at times. I remember late 80’s Rovers fans were allocated Darwen End and away teams the enclosure only, Man City was one of those teams with trouble in main Darwen End with away fans that had sneaked in.
  5. The football club seems to be listening, wonders will never cease.
  6. Myself and the Mrs met him in a Chinese restaurant in Sheffield, he was dining with Emlyn Hughes and Emlyn's mum. When they got up to leave we called Mike over and expressed our gratitude for his service, Emlyn came over, nose out of joint because we didn't call him over, stood for a few seconds turned around and shouted to his mum: "Just some Blackburn fans mum, ignore them" I never did get what he meant by that, but Mike was brilliant and wanted to chat more.
  7. I was just thinking about the thread where we are posting our best Rovers moments. This one has to be up there:
  8. Italy have lost for the first time tonight in 41 Euro qualifiers, England not won in Italy since 1961. Trolling as usual.
  9. 2 takeaways from tonight’s game: Dion Dublin needs to stick to Homes Under the Hammer. Southgate needs some new pumps, WTF did he have on tonight?
  10. Reigning European Champions, what utter drivel.
  11. Brilliant 😂
  12. Never a yellow card, either of the ones shown to Shaw, abysmal refereeing.
  13. 1) Full Members Cup Final in 87 for me, that day was beyond my wildest dreams, little did I know what was to come. 2) Worthington Cup Final - Just perfect. 3) Anfield 95 - Couldn't get a ticket..... 4) Trelleborg UEFA Cup - Blackburn Rovers? In Europe? Never!
  14. 3 days on and I'm still walking round with my chest stuck out. I can't remember the last time I felt so proud in the team, the fans and the Town, its a great feeling. Fingers crossed we can keep it going. Some of us older gits forget that many of the younger fans that post on here and attend games have never seen the good times at Ewood, Sunday was a a regular occurrence not that long ago and where we need to get back to those days again.
  15. Some great places in that write up Dreams. I spent quite a bit of time at Digbeth Dining Club when I lived down that way. Loved Old Joint Stock, Hen and Chicken Dessi Pub/Indian food to die for. Happy days, great City.
  16. What? How many clubs allow players like Diaz, Lenihan and Rothwell to walk away from the club for free? A club that can't afford to replace the pitch? Not wanting to put a dampener on the recent upturn in form, but I'm not having that philipl.
  17. What is the money split now? A minimum of £100m if you finish bottom of Premiership? Parachute payments £30/£40m? Having just one season back in the top flight is a game changer for any club in our position.
  18. We were discussing this after the game on Sunday and thats the main point here, the club will be in a far stronger position with a season in the Premiership. But the cherry on the cake could well be that these awful owners cut those losses as sod off into the abyss, that is the end game here, fingers crossed.
  19. Got to say that despite the obvious disappointment, Blackburn Rovers football club are well and truly back on the map. My phone hasn't stopped today with people wanting to discuss the game, great attacking football, how unlucky we were, tremendous support, promotion, play offs, JDT and Sam Szmodics! We are no longer "Just that club run by chicken farmers" We are back on the map!
  20. Crystal Palace away, I'll never forget it, stuck in that bloody traffic jam. I can still feel the pain now...
  21. Just a word on that annoying swine with the mic, he welcomed the team on to the pitch as Sheffield Wizards and called Bramall Lane one the best stadiums in the world! Now I'm all for a bit of home team biased, but that is stretching it a bit! Has anyone ever heard of them being called the wizards? Wednesday fans call them the pigs and the ground is a corrugated iron mess! On the flip side they played some decent tunes, got the blood pumping.
