I hope he picks all 4 options, as that sums up our fan base over the years and every other fan base across the globe. -
Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?

That isn’t as daft a suggestion as it may sound, I made the same suggestion a few seasons back. The problem is then trying to charge for them again further down the line, that is the challenge. Pump £10m into player transfers, market ‘We’re all in this together’ and free season tickets for the Premiership push, one season only. Get the town and Bburn public behind it……If only Carlsberg did…… -

Yet Blackburn Rovers are better supported than both PNE and Bolton, which blows this daft argument out of the water, again….. I saw you run for cover when 6000 tickets went at £33 a pop for Sheff Utd away Matty, 😉 -

They wouldn’t sell many more Doogs unless you radically reduce the price, you’re spot on. If the product on the pitch is worth supporting, the Blackburn public will turnout, as last season proved many times, regardless of price. Its been that way since time and memorial. -
Favourite rovers' player performance this century
Gav replied to broadsword's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I know it doesn’t fit the brief, but whilst I’m thinking about it, Ruud Guilit played 45 mins in defence for Chelsea at Ewood and the 2nd 45 mins in attack, it’s the single best performance I’ve seen by any player live in my lifetime and he was past his sell by date by that point in his career! Apparently John Carews trial in the youth team was exceptional, scored 5 goals, then asked for £1m signing on fee……Jim Furnell brought the lad in, but we turned his demands down. -
Were they handing out free red bucket hats on the way in? United end full of cheap tatty shite hats.

Is it the same place that named the bedrooms Riverside, Blackburn End etc?

Sounds like Venkys shopping list 2011….add Ronaldinho to the frontline and Maradona as manager, job done……

Great goal to win the game, Barnsley should count themselves very unlucky. Made up for our mates on route back, they’ll get a real welcome as Hillsborough is currently rocking, the streets are packed!
-
The ref should have reviewed it Asia, but I do understand why he sent him off, especially from the angle he was at, it looked awful.
-
Norwood has been outstanding since he came on for Barnsley.

I saw them in Sheffield at the end of the last tour, it was full of middle aged types who talked all the way through the gig, swigging champagne in the private boxes, until Common People came on! They clearly didn’t get it……

Got numerous texts earlier from our Wednesday mates getting on the coaches at 7.30am, they've sold 44,000 tickets for the game today, Barnsley just over 20k. The comeback against Peterborough is up there with the most amazing things I think I've ever seen in football, 4-0 down from the first leg, for them get through in extra-time, phenomenal, you'd have to think they're destined to go up after that.

Brentford also did the double over City this season too, yet we have some on here who don't think they belong in the Premiership....

I once asked for gravy in a Scottish chippy and they looked at me like I'd come from another planet, I got curry sauce instead and it came in paper, no tray, leaked through the paper on to my jeans....... I've not been to a Scottish chippy since.

The players jumping around in the Lancashire dressing room after a win is getting old and cringeworthy. Celebrate wins by all means, but singing and dancing after every T20 game win, has me looking over my shoulder making sure nobody is looking at my phone.

Luton have certainly broken the mould here, 90% of the time clubs with Premiership money take the promotion places, but not on this occasion, well done to them, it shows what can be achieved, especially with them coming back from the abyss! I remember them back in 80's being in the first division (Brian Stein, Paul Walsh and Mick Hartford), a pipe dream for Blackburn Rovers at that time, they also won the league cup at Wembley beating a very good Arsenal side, so they do have pedigree. Good effort.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0ff7cg0 - You can download all episodes now if you don't want to wait. This BBC documentary about the troubles in NI was superb, accounts given by people that lived through it on all sides. The conflict was front page news for 30yrs, bombs, shootings and murder were a staple diet for many, this documentary lays it all bare. Thankfully, peace is holding firm, and I hope we never go back to these dark days again.

Brighton giving City a game here, just scored a cracker, top corner, 1-1, setup by Jason Steele. I remember them having no ground and seemingly no future. They came protesting up here in Mellor against the then owner. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/6196041.brighton-soccer-fans-besiege-chairmans-lancs-village/ Keep the faith, Venkys will sod off one day, then anything is possible.

More the fool them I say: Armstrong, Dack, Rothwell, Diaz, at any normal clubs that’s £50m+ right there.

Back in Lancashire, we'll be sat here at 1 minute to midnight on transfer deadline day waiting for the owners to pick up the phone.......

Bradley Dack - Twist or Stick?
Gav replied to bigbrandjohn's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Very good player, superb buy, £15m player before his injury. Carried shoulder high from the pitch on promotion night in Donny, thanks Bradley, you’ll long be remembered.
