  1. What would Jack and John Williams have done here? First thing is they'd never use FFP as an excuse for appointing cr@p. They'd have pulled out all the stops to bring in a manager and staff that can get this club back into the Premiership, no messing around with the old guard or taking a chance on unproven managers, they'd have gone for the right man to get this club promoted. Season ticket deadlines extended beyond any appointment date to enable fans to support the new manager. Jack or John Williams writes to fans through the local media, the new man will be backed, promotion is the target, funds to achieve this goal, town needs to get behind the club, lets put this football club back on the map, you get the drift. Manger appointed and he too writes to the fans, rallying call to the troops, new shirt in the club shop, get behind us and we'll make great strides. You don't need a marketing degree to understand whats required here, you just need drive and a desire to succeed, people that care and want the best for the club.
  2. Dream start for Potts - He gets Williamson with only his 4th delivery in test cricket, and it’s at Lords.
  3. First wicket down, Anderson is back, superb catch by Bairstow low down.
  4. NZ win the toss and bat, as chaddy suggested above.
  5. I firmly believe that one day this club will end up with local owners supported by fan involvement at the top table, until then we have to suffer this orchestrated decline and continued dumbing down at all levels. The reason I mentioned this is because I believe Ainsworth would be perfect to come in when that day comes, right now he’ll achieve nothing, he’ll soil his reputation, never to return. The next appointment is now irrelevant for me after our ambition has been exposed, cheap and cheerful yes man incoming. Venkys Out is the only way this football club moves forward.
  6. Waggott didn't have the power to sack Mowbray, or renew his contract or even tell him the contract wouldn't be renewed, now he's the main man pulling all the strings? Give over Simon, if it doesn't make sense, its probably not true......
  7. 1-0 Ukraine, I can confirm Grant Hanley is still rubbish.
  8. Yes clearly a man of principle, takes a stand on racism whatever the cost. All credit to him, we need more like him, but I don’t want him anywhere near the club.
  9. But we can be 110% sure Carvalhal isn't coming here, our billionaire owners won't pay the going rate to bring in proper support staff to help the manager take the club forward. The penny should be dropping about now for you Rev, for many it dropped a decade ago.....
  10. I've just located dens live stream on YouTube, its certainly improved since last time I tuned in. Hope the weather stays fine for you matt.
  11. Why would a manager like Carlos Carvalhal come to a basket case of a club like ours? It has everything to do with Rovers, we have zero ambition, zero budget, absent owners and a 4th Division CEO. Whats not to like......
  12. Do you think Guardiola, Klopp, King Kenny, Hughes, Allardyce and the rest of them went through a two stage process? Find your man, sell the club to him, match his ambition, appoint him.....Less than a week, job done.
  13. Is that through a subscription den? Or free to air? The last match I saw on YouTube was absolute bobbins, one camera angle, no commentary, no replays, bleedin awful.
  14. With the 2 standout candidates having seen right through the charade presented to them, this once again has the stench of lack of ambition, mediocrity and more dumbing down. I'd question if either Carvalhal or Farke could get this club promoted, but purely from on a personal point of view I could support the new regime, hold my nose and buy season tickets, but that ship now seems to have sailed. So what are we left with? A bargain bucket, pound shop appointment and our season ticket money staying in the bank. Nobody is going to convince me this isn't orchestrated. Venkys Out
  15. If you’ve not found anything genuine to complain about over the past 11yrs you’ve probably been in a coma.
  16. Maybe its just me, suffering from football withdrawal symptoms, but why aren't we seeing more cricket on Tv from Sky or anyone else for that matter? On Monday, after a hard day slicing golf balls into the rough, I plonk myself in front of the TV to watch a T20 Blast game and the only live sport is Netball, I do the same tonight and nothing, with 4 T20 games going on across the country? Its the same with the longer forms of the game, why aren't we seeing more cricket on Tv? They'll show any football from non league, Irish league upwards? Rubbish.
