  1. 100% He ticks every box. I’ll be looking for something else to do on Saturday afternoons if these owners bring him or someone of his ilk to the club, because it’s then indisputable that they have zero intention of improving this football club.
  2. The next manager to walk through that revolving door at Ewood needs to be a significant improvement on the man that just left. Gareth Ainsworth doesn't tick that box, what would he bring to Ewood that would get this side into the Premiership? They don't care if he comes from Blackburn and supports the club, they want a manager with new ideas, modern training methods, tactical awareness and eye for the player. Sadly in my opinion Ainsworth ticks none of those boxes and wouldn't even be mentioned if it wasn't for his links to the town. I'd support the lad if he did land the job, he'd be cheap, win a few fans over for Waggott, but would fail and fail badly in the current setup, like most prospective managers would in my opinion. These links to Carlos Carvalhal are strange to me, here we have a manager who has just been plying his trade in the Portuguese Premier League, quarter finals of Europa League, domestic cup winners lasts season, millions to spend on players and he's being linked with a mid table Championship club on its arse financially with its best days behind it? I would be astonished if he ends up here, why would he come here? We need a manager thats cheap, unemployed, willing to work with no board, absent meddling owners, no money to spend, no scouting network, poor playing surface, 4th division CEO.........Exciting eh.......
  3. Oh to have decent owners like Bournemouth for example, who saw the opportunity in January, saw the team was struggling and gave the manager funds to make it to the promise land, balls to FFP. Our owners couldn't careless what league we're in, they simply do not care.
  4. Thats NOT what I wanted to read first thing on a Saturday morning......
  5. Lancashire playing Essex in The Royal London Cup at Sedbergh in August, think I'll dust off the Roses hat and make a day of it.
  6. Just a quick one from me, the rant at Rev is your business glen, I certainly don't know the details here and I'm not preaching to anyone, but I would add. I know Rev personally and he doesn't fit that description whatsoever, he's a thoroughly nice chap and Blackburn Rovers through and through, although his stance on the owners grinds my gears 🙄 I just wanted to put that on record.
  7. If it’s posted it should be open to scrutiny, that’s what I and several other posters are doing, nothing more.
  8. Evening Rev, how is operation "QEGS save Blackburn Rovers going"? My sources tell me Will Greenwood was seen leaving the academy earlier today having been interviewed and offered the job? oh sorry I almost forgot..........blacked out windows and swigging a bottle of Chassagne Montrachet Domaine Perrault.
  9. Lets just concentrate on 2022: You didn't hold your hands up on your claim that both Diaz and Kaminski sold in January. You didn't hold your hands up with Alex Neill. You didn't hold your hands up on Mowbray to WBA 90%. You claimed Carlos Carvalhal was being shown around the training ground, on the same day Gareth Southgate, sky Tv and UK press descended on the academy. But yes I agree, lets not argue, lets see what pans out.......
  10. But the facts of the matter are, from 2 people close to the club, we've spoken to no mangers thus far, which fits. The claim on here, of one potential managerial candidate being shown around the training ground was clearly bullshit, as expected.
  11. I never mentioned caps, I was referring to him being called up to the full International squad, which he was. To say he's gone gone backwards under Benson simply isn't true, wouldn't you agree? On the wider point, a clean slate would be best in my opinion, especially at the top table, but will Venkys pay up the contracts? Always a stumbling block for this lot.
  12. Brentford don't seem to think Raya went backwards, hence forking out £3m, I agree with them. Kaminski has earned a full international call up since he arrived, Belgium too don't think he's gone backwards. I'll defer to them.
  13. Would you like to ignore everything that happened between 2012-2019 to suit that argument?
  14. He brought Venus in as his number 2. I don't understand the hatred on here for Rovers backroom team, Benson has worked with Raya and Kaminski, 2 keepers that are going from strength to strength, whats not to like about that? Look at the lads coming from the academy into the first team? It all adds up to having a decent backroom team and not what 1 poster on here wants you to think.
  15. Good side this lot as Aqua says above.
  16. Rangers 1 up ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
  17. Don’t get me wrong here, Blackburn Rovers are certainly no Rangers for many reasons. Rangers were in administration 10yrs ago, they’re tonight in Europa League final, give me administration right now to get rid of these useless bloody owners.
  18. Come on Rangers 🇬🇧🇬🇧
  19. I think its safe to say that the clubs that pay the biggest wages and the clubs with the biggest transfer budgets usually go up from the Championship, Nottingham Forest certainly fit that category, Blackburn Rovers do not, even Blackpool spent more money than we did this season on players. I'm not saying Copper isn't a decent manager, he certainly is, but Forest have spent heavily in the past few season which helps.
