  1. Trent Bridge looks empty, Lancs fans used to pack these finals out. Sign if the times I guess. Going to be tough this chase, but we can do it, come on.
  2. Football without fans is nothing. Swansea V Hull City 12.30pm kick off. Hull to Swansea 284 miles.
  3. In true rigger style: “Repeating the same line over and over again doesn’t make it true”
  4. The last time I was in Luton, was to catch a flight to Eindhoven to see England lose a 2 goal lead, to a Luis Figo inspired Portugal side, in Euro 2000, we lost 3-2...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMn7I3rImWk Hoping for a better result today, but still bearing the scars from Reading and Sheff Utd away, I'd take a point now. 1-1 Safe trip everyone.
  5. Mowbray advising a scout to move to Sunderland isn’t anywhere near the top of my ‘massive issue list’ Chaddy. Why Sainsburys have delivered the wrong brand of coffee on the other hand is…..
  6. Bigoted W*****s
  7. Why not turn your attention to someone like Coyle who actually was a dolloper, instead of Mowbray who was a manager who had taken us as far as he could, no harm in that really.
  8. Massive club in my book is a Barcelona or Real Madrid, Sunderland have the potential to be a big club, much bigger than us thats for sure.
  9. Mitrovic couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo when last in the Premiership, came back to Championship and is now scoring for fun. Maybe Pukki needs to give him a call and ask for some tips, or better still leave Norwich and come to Ewood.
  10. I wouldn't pretend to know if Sunderland had a decent enough squad, scraping up through the playoffs tells its own story. But I do wish we'd had the new manager bounce at Reading, instead of the new manager hammering we received.
  11. Sunderland 2 up.
  12. Rangers fans tonight, just superb. The club are also going to defy UEFA and sing the national anthem.
  13. I spoke to a local group leader earlier today who runs a drug rehabilitation service. The service won The Queens Award a few years ago which helped them immensely. The group are all going down to London for the funeral, not a Royalist amongst them, but all of them so grateful for the recognition and support they received.
  14. What was that bit of outrageous skill that Hedges did last night next to The Riverside, Ronaldinho would have been proud.
  15. I'll give that a listen @John D never heard it before.
  16. You can only beat whats put in front of you RV, but yes, Watford were abysmal, they didn't have one shot in the first half that I can remember and weren't much better in the second. I can't add much more than what has already been said to be honest, it was an all round excellent performance with Dolan showing why he's going to a player and Riverside boo boy Pickering also shutting a few up in the process too. Rob Edwards probably wishes he was back of Forest Green right now, the Championship is a whole different ball games. Onwards and upwards. Ps - Our kit looks superb this season, it looks pretty damn good every season but this season in particular.
  17. Yes spot on. I was on the away end that night, we cleared one off the line in extra time and managed to hang on, I can't decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing considering the final outcome......
  18. Well this puts my drive over The Pennines into some perspective! I really hope the lads put on a show for you @mick and we get a result against a very good Watford side.
  19. 1989 - Playoff semi-final 2nd leg away Watford - Apprehensive doesn't do it justice, terrified does.
  20. Superb summer for English cricket winning 6 from 7 tests since Stokes and McCullum came in, a far cry from 1 win in 17 under the previous regime, that is some turnaround. It was refreshing that both sides came into this game looking for a win and set about doing just that on Saturday, some superb bowling on show, real skill and great to see Crawley hitting the winning runs today. Off to Pakistan next for 7 T20's, world cup to follow, then the tests against Pakistan coming in early December. Plenty still to look forward to in 2022.
  21. @glen9mullan Or @unleaded did you mention a striker we bid for in January 22?
  22. You do understand that player deals are unique to each club negotiating. Bordeaux wanted money from us for Maja, but as the clock ticked down let Maja go to Stoke for nothing, to remove the wage overhead? Khedra came here last season for no loan fee only wages, Sheff Utd have paid a loan fee to secure his services this season.
  23. I wonder why he bid for one then? Just thought I’d make that point, as you were adamant he didn’t.
  24. Whilst you’re discussing strikers and the month of January on the wider point. Didn’t you tell me Mowbray never tried to sign a striker in January islander?
