I don't know many of the details, I'm only reading this mornings press, but it seems the great Liverpool cover up is in full swing. Liverpools own players and ex-players seem to be blaming the police, whilst also claiming thousands of fake tickets were in circulation that could have broken the turnstiles. Lots of footage of Liverpool fans climbing the fences and busting through barriers, nothing new to see here, been going on for decades. I have every sympathy for anyone on the end of pepper spray, its awful stuff and its usually the innocent bystanders that bear the brunt sadly. Superb stuff, the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust should actually take over the running of the whole operation in my opinion, they're the one shining light in the current setup.

Don't be so sure yankfan. They promised Paul Lambert significant funds to rebuild the club, within weeks they refused to answer his calls to put existing staff on contracts or provide transfer funds, he walked out after that and good on him, lying swines.

Any of us could turn the clubs fortunes around in 12 months, maybe not on the playing side, that requires significant funds, but marketing, ticket deals, community engagement, ground maintenance, sponsorship, new initiatives, you get the picture. The owners don't care, its blindingly obvious, the CEO and his skeleton staff are just happy picking up the wage and I know I sound like a broken record, but I can never see this changing until the owners piss off. Until then the club limps along with no end in sight, its criminal.
