  1. The comparisons to Mowbray are even more stark Ossy, cheer for that. If this lot manage to sign him up we'll see what transpires, he's a much better option than Hasselbaink and drunken Duncan thats for sure and someone I could support, which is half the battle.
  2. This is Norwich City we're talking about matt, a club awash with Premiership money, players on eye water contracts, quality players at that, I'd have got Norwich promoted to be honest. Has he worked with no budget and no players before?
  3. Test match against NZ starts at Lords on Thursday with thousands of tickets unsold, most of them over £100 each. As the champagne corks pop at 11am the ground will be well short of capacity for the start of this new era in English cricket. I was offered 2 tickets myself, £163 each, no thanks. Maybe Lords hasn't heard that we have a cost of living crisis......
  4. I don't think Farke record is an improvement on Mowbrays to be honest, but he is a better option than most of the dross being touted around. Appointing Carvalhal would have shown a club with serious intent, Farke shows a club with everything crossed he can pull rabbits out of hats and he's the cheaper option, should he sign. Same old sh1t, different managerial appointment, but I hope I'm wrong of course...
  5. @RevidgeBlue I'm not sure many bigger fish than Carvalhal are swimming in todays Blackburn Rovers pond. Here is a manger coming from Portuguese Premier league, Cup winners, Europa League last season and a side that played some great football. When push comes to shove, money talks, backroom staff wages and a transfer budget. Although nothing has been decided yet, this has a stench of cheap bastards to me, cheapest option incoming, watch this space.
  6. The media reported more Rangers fans followed the club to Spain than Liverpool fans travelled to Paris, very little trouble in Seville, the fans from both sides were praised for policing themselves, unlike in Paris. That assertion quite simply doesn't stand up here Paul.
  7. Its well documented I wasn't Allardyces number 1 fan 😃 But if the object is to get back into the Premiership, then peak Allardyce and Dyche would fit the bill toogs, in fact todays Allardyce would do over the likes of Ferguson, Grayson and Adkins.
  8. Posters need to keep in mind its essential the club bring someone in who can get this club promoted to Premiership. I believe that pool of managers, available to us, is extremely small and the vast majority of candidates I'm reading about on here don't fit that bill. The only person that fits the bill in my opinion is Sean Dyche - We can't afford him and I doubt he'd come here. Farke and Carvalhal maybe? Tough call.
  9. I find it very odd that you spend most days supporting 3 owners that couldn't give a fig about this about this football club. Owners that have destroyed Jack Walkers legacy, destroyed the reputation of this football club, destroyed businesses and lives of the people that live in this town. Nowt as strange as football fans eh 😉 Anyway back to the managerial search, have we appointed Hasselbaink yet?
  10. Not really 1864, even a manager in current employment would have been 'tapped up' by the agents, thats how football works.
  11. These owners have known for months Mowbray wouldn’t be staying, any normal club with a plan would have had a manager sounded out, if not in place before the season ended.
  12. As always money talks in the Championship, the biggest wage budget, the biggest transfers budget and Premiership here they come. It’s not rocket science.
  13. One club has spent over £20m on players in the last 3 seasons, one club has spent around £10m (That was on 1 player). Lets see who wins.
  14. Why do you think they’ve always taken the cheapest route possible, if this is remotely true?
  15. What a weekend for Huddersfield, the place has been absolutely buzzing with The Giants making the challenge cup final and the football team at Wembley today. Talk about a town punching above it’s weight.
  16. Robbie Slater on the celebrations after the Premiership win at Anfield 😀
  17. You never mentioned how the Hasselbaink interview went? How did that interview go? Its a Genuine question, a legitimate question based on your claims earlier this week? You posted he was interviewed?
  18. Liverpool fans and the city were appallingly treated over Hillsborough, I'm glad those poor families finally got to the truth. I would just add that older supporters remember Heysal 85 where hundreds of Liverpool fans attacked Juventus fans which sadly led to 39 deaths. I remember that disaster being blamed on Chelsea fans and English hooligan groups in general, not Liverpool, which was a disgrace, perpetrated by English gutter press. Not everything is about Hillsborough.
  19. I'm not sure about that Mark, if they appoint another dud this time around I'll be considering not going, because in my opinion its orchestrated decline if they do.
  20. I read that and at first glance thought Barry Venison was now in the running.
  21. Just for the record, it was Bbrover2288 that broke the Ferguson story, just sayin.
