  1. Those players don’t play the Diaz or Gally role Booth.
  2. His defensive qualities are arguably his best attribute, hardly misses a header when defending from a corner if you watch. But the bottom line is he’s paid to score goals and he’s doesn’t get enough, but he’s the 2nd best attacking player on the books with no signs of money to replace him.
  3. He’s not our best option for goals that’s Diaz and before him Armstrong, but his all round contribution makes him a great player to have in the ranks, a managers dream. Just imagine where we’d be right now without Diaz and Gallagher, the wages are irrelevant for me, both don’t earn as much Rhodes was getting and we all know the hardest position on pitch to fill is goal scorer.
  4. Brereton has bagged around 9 league goals this season and I think Gallagher has 5. If Gallagher had 9 would he be a good striker? He offers more to the team than Diaz, no doubt about that. He needs to score more goals, I’m not sure he has in his armoury, but he’s far from the main problem with this threadbare squad.
  5. I saw this on Twitter earlier today, I wasn’t aware of the link with Athletic Bilbao.
  6. Bristol City 0 Blackburn Rovers 1 For all the fans making the long trek to Ashton Gate 🙏
  7. Until these arsehole owners sod off nothing improves Rev and I take no pleasure in saying that. We deserve better as fans, the town deserves better and every day they remain at the club they piss all over Jack Walkers legacy, his memory deserves better. Venkys out and I don't care what the consequences are, I'll happily take whatever comes to get rid of those arseholes.
  8. We have a better keep in Kaminski and we pocketed a few quid, that is why owners loved Mowbray!
  9. Yet last seasons squad was the best we’ve had in years, but for meddling owners and a lack of ambition things could have been different. Nothing improves until the owners sod off, it’s as simple as that.
  10. David Crosby has died aged 81, a real music icon and pioneer, part of 60’s Laurel Canyon movement. It’s almost a star a day right now, just goes to show what a productive era these people came from. RIP David.
  11. Always good to back on home soil, especially at one of the best pubs in the area.
  12. Just had to endure the debacle once again on the local news, it doesn’t get any better, an absolute shambles of a performance, the worst I can recall for years and that’s saying something. Nothing improves until the owners sod off. Venkys out!
  13. 🤣🤣
  14. The 1970’s are long gone, these are no longer 3rd division sides as we also were back 70’s. Brentford and Brighton especially are superb sides, built on good foundations with people that care, light years ahead of us. Even you can join the dots surely….
  15. You said we’re playing kids in the middle, they’re not kids.
  16. Travis is 25? Buckley 24? Hardly kids.
  17. What option do they have other than playing 19yrs olds week in week out? The owners have decimated the squad, we have no money?
  18. Forget the original fee, it’s irrelevant in todays market. Let’s say we get £1m for Gally, do you think the current regime can replace him with a 15 goal a season man on £15k a week? That is what you’re asking for? We need to strengthen in other areas for me, midfield being one.
  19. Scores goals at championship level, defends from the front, we went to shit when he went off today, he’s the least of our problems.
  20. I thought I’d keep it simple… You are correct of course in the traditional sense, we could call Brentford’s approach a recruitment policy or moneyball, either way the turnover of players and success eclipses anything we can dream of under our inept owners.
  21. We need to start by selling Brereton and giving the cash to the manager. If only Carlsberg did football owners….
  22. Our academy is ok, but it’s no Southampton, Brentford or Norwich. 3yrs down the line we’ll be in exactly the same position, if we are lucky.
  23. Agreed. Football still matters in the town and surrounding areas, which gives me real hope that eventually these disgusting owners will sod off and the club will rise again. Keep the faith, but it’s bloody hard at times.
  24. Can we bid for new owners? Is that a thing these days? We all know in our heart of hearts that this doesn’t get any better until these rats sod off.
