Those players don’t play the Diaz or Gally role Booth.

His defensive qualities are arguably his best attribute, hardly misses a header when defending from a corner if you watch. But the bottom line is he’s paid to score goals and he’s doesn’t get enough, but he’s the 2nd best attacking player on the books with no signs of money to replace him.

He’s not our best option for goals that’s Diaz and before him Armstrong, but his all round contribution makes him a great player to have in the ranks, a managers dream. Just imagine where we’d be right now without Diaz and Gallagher, the wages are irrelevant for me, both don’t earn as much Rhodes was getting and we all know the hardest position on pitch to fill is goal scorer.

Brereton has bagged around 9 league goals this season and I think Gallagher has 5. If Gallagher had 9 would he be a good striker? He offers more to the team than Diaz, no doubt about that. He needs to score more goals, I’m not sure he has in his armoury, but he’s far from the main problem with this threadbare squad.
