  1. Judith Durham from The Seekers has died aged 79. What a voice, was still touring up until a few years ago.
  2. Having lived outside of the area for many years now, it’s always great to go back and pay respect to Jack. We will never forget what this man did for our town and our football club.
  3. Posted in nostalgia thread too, I hope that’s ok mods. Been in and around the lakes over the past few days, set off back to Yorkshire earlier today but ended up here: Looking superb in the afternoon Blackburn sunshine. Jack Walker, we will never forget.
  4. Absolutely and she was very thankful for the tweet a few weeks back 😉
  5. Yes we walked down through the school at the back of the pavilion and along the river, on the school itself, it should be nice with the fees they charge! I’ll PM next time… Ps - I said to Mrs ‘We missed den today, he was here for the cricket’ She said ‘I like den, he’s progressive, unlike you Gav’ 😤 WTF! 😂
  6. Dack we excellent at times in his cameo appearances last season, finishing aside, he brought something extra. I think we find ourselves in the midsts of another Brfcs bullshit fest, not aimed at you by the way Mercer, but Dack is far from done in my opinion.
  7. We arrived here yesterday den, it was very clear to us this wasn’t going ahead, especially after they announced the first inspection (1.30pm) after early lunch, then it started to rain again, so we headed into the Lakes instead. I’m kicking myself now, I should have PM’d you.
  8. That’s a little unfair matt83, it never stopped raining for around 12hrs, no ground in the country could have coped with that deluge to be honest. We ended up in The Lakes, absolutely cracking the flags, few pints of Loweswater Gold and steak n ale pie, lovely. https://www.kirkstile.com/
  9. Just brilliant, first time in my lifetime England have won anything.
  10. That’s a tremendous finish, reminded me of the Shearer goal against Norwich 7-2 at Ewood in the rain 1992.
  11. @tomphil Did you catch the boxing last night? Ben Whitaker looked a bit special on debut after his Olympics silver medal and the main event was a right tear up between Billam-Smith vs Chamberlain.
  12. Just on the wider point, our main problem last season was lack of strength in depth, the first 14 players were terrific until Christmas, then injuries, loss of form and tiredness kicked in and the rest is history. Superb effort by the fans yesterday, price increases made no difference, just goes to show what this club and its supporters are capable of, if in the right hands.
  13. Your mates aren’t giving him £7m 😂 We can’t even keep Nyambe, cheap bastards.
  14. Actions speak louder than words, it’s league position that count….
  15. Far to slow all over the pitch, but we’re winning.
  16. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20588979.blackburn-rovers-no-concerns-ben-brereton-diaz-amid-speculation/ JDT full of praise for the backroom team he's managed to retain: That is helped by the information provided to him by the club’s analysis department as well as the coaching staff who were kept in place over the summer. He said: “First of all we have a great analysis department, I have a great staff who are used to it. We have Damo, Dave and Ben who are used to the Championship, Remy has worked in the Championship before.
  17. You have to question just how many times JDT/GB have seen them play too Matty, maybe they've found John Parks scouting book dumped at the back of The Riverside. We need bodies in, players with experience, its a start.
  18. I see the dingles have gone back to a kit that looks like someone been sick all over it, very apt.
  19. Rovers 1 QPR 1 Trains are on strike, check before travelling 🙄
