I've been following your posts over the past month or so, I hope you had a good day despite the result and met some of the travelling hordes.

I remember him hitting the bar for NI v England with a bullet header, I don't recall him doing much in blue n white. Our fans didn't like him though, he was one player that good booed from time to time, never will understand that in any era.

I'm booked in at Cartford Inn again in a few weeks time, not been for a while living outside the area, but looking forward to it, never fails to deliver.

Some of the larger away followings got Darwen End and Darwen End Enclosure at times. I remember late 80’s Rovers fans were allocated Darwen End and away teams the enclosure only, Man City was one of those teams with trouble in main Darwen End with away fans that had sneaked in.

The football club seems to be listening, wonders will never cease.

Myself and the Mrs met him in a Chinese restaurant in Sheffield, he was dining with Emlyn Hughes and Emlyn's mum. When they got up to leave we called Mike over and expressed our gratitude for his service, Emlyn came over, nose out of joint because we didn't call him over, stood for a few seconds turned around and shouted to his mum: "Just some Blackburn fans mum, ignore them" I never did get what he meant by that, but Mike was brilliant and wanted to chat more.

1) Full Members Cup Final in 87 for me, that day was beyond my wildest dreams, little did I know what was to come. 2) Worthington Cup Final - Just perfect. 3) Anfield 95 - Couldn't get a ticket..... 4) Trelleborg UEFA Cup - Blackburn Rovers? In Europe? Never!

3 days on and I'm still walking round with my chest stuck out. I can't remember the last time I felt so proud in the team, the fans and the Town, its a great feeling. Fingers crossed we can keep it going. Some of us older gits forget that many of the younger fans that post on here and attend games have never seen the good times at Ewood, Sunday was a a regular occurrence not that long ago and where we need to get back to those days again.

Some great places in that write up Dreams. I spent quite a bit of time at Digbeth Dining Club when I lived down that way. Loved Old Joint Stock, Hen and Chicken Dessi Pub/Indian food to die for. Happy days, great City.
