  1. Lucky…..😂
  2. I've been speaking to a colleague in Italy this afternoon, AC Milan fan, the fans loved JDT when he played for Milan, his nickname: The White Scorpion Superb 👍
  3. Are you trying to make us all look as bad as Mercer 😁 Have a word with yourself...
  4. When I think of Wigan away I think of that Steven Reid thunderbolt from 25yrds, brilliant strike. Wigan beat Luton and Birmingham away last week, after getting hammered by the dingles. Best we can hope for on recent form is a draw in my opinion. 1-1
  5. Not something you come across on matchdays in my experience M_B, mostly confined to social media (The land of make believe). I feel a song coming on.....
  6. Rovers are losing local fans because those parasite chicken farmers have destroyed the football club, no other reason and living in Yorkshire will never change that fact. We still have a large fanbase across Lancashire, with every post you make you seem to extending the radius, which is the correct thing to do, you're learning. If you put this football club back in Premiership next season we'd be back to 17k home fans midweek and 20k a weekends, like we've always had. Gates are up this season by the way, maybe you'll have to read the 2021 census to understand why, but I can tell you now, its the existing fanbase with some renewed hope, nothing to do with fans moving in or out of the area. I’m unsure what your motives are with this series of posts, I get the feeling something else is grinding your gears?
  7. With the greatest of respect this just isn’t true, where are you getting this stuff from? We've never had a strong Asian following and never will have, but been in business since 1875. We had regular gates of 5000 in 80’s, football didn’t start in 1992. We have a healthy fan base that would increase with success on the pitch and our support doesn’t only come from Mill Hill and Darwen. Where are you getting this nonsense from?
  8. Was it Mowbray that said some fans still think it’s 1995? We have one poster expecting an ‘Eddie Howe Newcastle bounce’ which only happened after spending tens of millions and that codswallop above…..
  9. Nonsense. Newcastle hardly won a game until they opened the cheque book and got knocked out of the FA Cup by Cambridge when Howe joined the club. JDT needs time, he’s not a miracle worker.
  10. I'd take that right now, I'd take league 2 also to get rid of them. This club will never recover whilst we have absent owners who couldn't give a toss what goes on thousands of miles away in Lancashire. To many fans, putting £30m in a season now seems like a great gesture, it hardly scratches the books of a billionaire, they won't even notice it, its that insignificant in the grand scheme of things to them. With that being the case, why have they sold the training ground? Why are they now emptying the academy of all the young talent, many of whom are not ready for Championship football? What are they going to sell next? I like the current manager, but he was way down the pecking order reading between the lines. He's been given peanuts to strengthen his squad after all the departures in the last few years, its worrying times right now. We need them out, then the club can start to recover, we have a very good fan base that could get behind a new local owner, or a new owner/owners that actually have a plan and want whats best for Blackburn Rover, the town and its supporters.
  11. I really don't understand this obsession with slagging Pickering off, it was prominent on the match day thread yesterday and he had a decent game, he's far from our main problem at the moment. I lost count of the number of attacks he setup, he linked up really well with Diaz in the first half and defended well. I think the problem with him is, he can't attack and defend at the same time, he needs cover in behind him and that was lacking at times, new formations eh...... If we had pots of cash yes I'd look to replace him, but I'd replace one of two others in the sqaud first, Pickering is the least of our problems right now.
  12. Maybe log off Rigger, it’s clearly been a long day. Live to fight another day pal.
  13. Posting is similar to sport, sometimes you’ll have good days, sometimes you’ll have bad days, I’ll let you fill in the gaps. Dolan best player on the pitch for us today and he played 45 mins.
  14. Then you don’t understand football or sport in general. Best advice I can give you, maybe go and watch City, that’s probably the closest thing to consistent week in week out you’ll get and even then they’ll have off days, as will players individually.
  15. It is all by Sodex which I know is a real bone of contention for many. We have 3 bees brewery up the road, Hopstar in Darwen and plenty of independent food outlets locally. We are not using them because rubbish like Sodex are given the contract, it’s just another example of not giving a toss.
  16. You have to question anyone saying these 3 are not good enough to play Championship football, my god so much to go at, these 3 not so much. Whisper it quietly but we actually miss Gally.
  17. I said off the pace from the first whistle to the last, which we were, you think everything in the garden is rosy right now, I question if your seat faces the pitch to be honest chaddy as the alarm bells are ringing loudly, why can't you hear them?
  18. My lads in Cardiff tonight watching some wresting event or something, he should have been at Ewood……then again, maybe not.
  19. The reaction to Wharton at Blackpool was typically and deservedly over the top, he was excellent on the night against an awful Blackpool side. Today he was average at best, looked out of his depth at times against a physical team that came to play. We shouldn’t be filling the first team full of 21yr olds, following ‘The Venky’ model, it’s a road to ruin and JDT will learn that sooner rather than later.
  20. We were battered today, off the pace from the first whistle, surely you recognise that? I guess that is his point.
  21. Therein lies the problem. The manager may have changed, but the same problems still remain, lack or quality and lack of money to improve in that area. But JDT needs time.
  22. Your bookie counting his money again Mercer, home banker wasn't it?
  23. I was once speaking to Ronnie Clayton about Nathan Blake: ”He couldn’t trap sandbag that lad” 😂 Cracked me up.
  24. He sounds like a right ****.
  25. Manager needs time to put his stamp on the side, introduce his style and system. But if he thinks a European style of slow building from the back will work in this league, we’ll be relegated by February. Keep the faith, a long way to go.
