  1. Thanks Islander, I'd forgotten about Brittain. Hyam deal not done as yet according to papers, its takes us an inordinate amount of time to get deals over the line.....
  2. Have we actually signed anyone else other than the lad from Peterborough?
  3. England superb today on a glorious barmy Old Trafford day. 250+ lead should be enough, fingers crossed.
  4. Classing wages as part of this football clubs budget shows how far we've fallen, it really does. We all remember back in 2011/12 these owners basically sacking club legends "To bring wages under control" another abject failure from the Pune morons. Apathy or ambition? Blackburn or Middlesbrough, Venkys or Gibson........
  5. Its a dark art this running a football club, who knows what money goes where, be it Armstrong's £10m+ or the training ground bonus bonanza.... K-Hods point about reinvesting is a valid one, even a small amount could have seen us into the playoffs last season, but no it was kept in the safe, as I suspect the BBD money will be too.
  6. I often wonder if some posters seats actually face the pitch. Khadra left the pitch on Saturday to a booming standing ovation, having played for one of the best sides in the division who had just torn us a new arsehole. He was a constant threat, I wish we had him in the side now.
  7. To be honest Mowbray worked wonders in the final days of last seasons transfer window with only £1.99 to spend, but your main point is spot on Wing Wizard. I watched a Sheff Utd side rip us to pieces last Saturday, they've already done there business, a side going places which included a very lively Khadra that we got nowhere near all afternoon. Apathetic is the word, it starts in Pune, why should anyone give a toss if the owners don't.........
  8. It’s getting rather desperate now isn’t it? JDT joined the club 2 months ago and we still haven’t plugged any of the gaps left by outgoing players from last season. On his appointment he said: “We have a young team here, and also a great academy, and the owners have a clear vision, which is to develop players and become a sustainable Premier League club over time, so I’m really happy to be involved in this exciting new chapter,” Tomasson said. Well JDT, you can’t say you didn’t know what you were signing up for……
  9. Didn’t work out that well selling Armstrong, I’m not sure it would now selling Diaz.
  10. What an absolute shambles of a transfer window, do these owners call this ‘supporting the new manager’? Its embarrassing, we are now desperate and I’ll wager JDT probably won’t see this season out as manager of Blackburn Rovers. Venkys out.
  11. Mate of mine used to do that commute for years (Stopped in 2019), took 2hrs from Rossendale most days, M6/M56 was a nightmare, Stockport pyramid too. He actually packed the job in because of the commute in the end. Unless you left at the crack of dawn and came home at 3pm you'd struggled. Be interesting to hear if its still as bad, with more people working from home these days, good luck AJW.
  12. Look at the players in that clip, some superb talent and not just Tugay. Its criminal how far we've fallen under this lot, we should never accept what they've done to this football club. Happy Birthday Tugay.
  13. I'm watching The Offer on Paramount+ at the moment, it centres around the making of The Godfather in 1972 and events that surrounded the film. Been a good watch so far, enjoying it.
  14. @tomphil Is Fury beating Usyk? I think so, but looking forward to seeing the fight if it happens. You make a good point above about Joshua not grappling, not leaning on Usyk for 10 rounds, I don't think Fury will make that mistake.
  15. Get a 2nd mortgage before you go, the prices are off the scale right now. Rovers 3 Stoke 1
  16. If anyone wants this weeks lottery numbers, PM @Tricky
  17. Would I be right in thinking that we shouldn't actually be looking at the September 1st transfer window deadline, because we rarely buy players these days anyway? We usually do our business in the loan market, feeding of the scraps and that doesn't close until later in the season?
  18. I’ve just ordered a can of Shandy bass, a John Bull with lashings of peas and gravy. Fools and money are easily parted, just ask our illustrious owners. Onwards and upwards.
  19. Rovers have sold 900 tickets for this one, not bad after the last 2 away games.
  20. Rich Shape recently said we don't, not under Mowbray in recent years, a direct quote from the club. But this is all immaterial, we need players in and quick, or its a relegation dog fight that we could lose if Saturday is anything to go by.
  21. This has been dumbed down somewhat phili with respect, anyone would think the original intention was the fool posters into thinking we actually had a £10m transfer budget, with extras on top, or my mistake maybe. I'd seriously dispute the Mowbray claim also, we paid less than £1m in transfers fees last summer, we don't pay loan fees for players either, just partial wages and they would be nowhere near £6.5m.
