  1. He wouldn't come out and say anything at all if he was shit. Clearly he's got plenty of time for Benson and praises him personally which is good enough for me.
  2. I was answering a question on Mowbrays reception when he comes back to Ewood, do I really need to explain that to you? I suppose you’ll be booing him as you never liked him in the first place 🙄
  3. I wonder if Nixons has found that £50m war chest Venkys promised...... I see above he's still an arrogant *****
  4. You do me a disservice here, Waggott and Sharpe both said we don't pay loan fees, I was repeating that line coming out of the club. Maybe that policy is about to change under the new manager, if we get Van Hecke, which Nixon said we had no chance of doing by the way, then great as we both want the best for the club I'm sure.
  5. I’ll assume that you’ve not see us so far this season to come to those conclusions? If you’ve watched us and don’t see we have massive problems in midfield I can’t help you. Nobody has replaced Van Hecke, we won’t replace him either as he’s Premiership quality. Losing 3 games on the bounce would usually set alarms bells ringing, but you think it’s all a myth, well my blue friend, the penny will drop eventually I’m sure.
  6. I'll be applauding him, a manager here for 5yrs, a promotion under his belt after the shambles Coyle left us in and look at the players be bought, Diaz and Armstrong alone will rake in over £30m for this football club if managed correctly. I think in time some fans will come to realise just what we had under Mowbray, last season was predicable, he needed backing and was badly let down, we'll NEVER, have a better opportunity to step up than we had last season under these owners. We are now seeing with JDT what a difficult job ours is with very limited wages on offer, very limited budget and a squad made up of academy players that aren't ready for Championship football.
  7. Football doesn't close down on weekends and bank holidays Ossy, plenty of clubs are training today, buying players, doing deals, as should we be doing. But then again you could right, apathy reigns supreme at Ewood these days, maybe everyone's taking the weekend off, 3 loses on the bounce, we need a bit of time off to take stock.......
  8. Add to that shite owners too, I'm surprised the gates are as high as they to be honest. Has this Coventry lad signed yet? Fee agreed Friday, its now Sunday?
  9. Anyone can bring in players on deals chaddy, but are those players better than we had last season? After all the ambition for the fans and manager is to progress isn't it? Rothwell, for the first 6 months of last season, was at times premiership quality, do you see anyone coming in to replace that gaping hole in the middle of the park? Van Hecke was at times premiership quality, do you see anyone coming in to replace him, Lenihan was excellent last season too? Khedra gave us something different too? If you don't replace quality player like for like you go backwards, thats exactly what is happening right now and giving JDT £1.99 to spend in this window isn't going to end well.
  10. Right now we are not good enough to compete in this division, thats obvious isn't it? I'm not spoiling for a row BankEnd, but this side isn't good enough, we've lost the last 3 games and been well beaten, never looked like scoring, much of the same will follow if we don't strengthen and quick.
  11. In the morning when you read back your posts you’ll probably come to the same conclusion.
  12. It’s still 1975 in burnley for the most part and the population like to celebrate that fact. Sorry to hear about your experiences with the land that time forgot.
  13. Losing 3 on the bounce tells us we deserve nothing, we need new recruits, quality additions and quick or it’s a relegation battle fast approaching.
  14. Far to ambitious for our owners, wanted a back room team he relies upon and a modest budget to make us competitive. Sorry Carlos we have an academy to run, the football club isn’t important to us.
  15. They’re hamstrung by the carrier pigeon coming back from Pune. Is the penny starting to drop yet Simon?
  16. Maybe he was a crook? Would only work with an agent that feathered his nest, gave him kick backs on every deal, reduced the player pool, robbed fans of seeing better players? The ironic thing is Venkys then adopted the same policy and the rest is history......
  17. The may well suite the Brfcs narrative, but its a load of bollox. The problems at this football are and will always be of the owners making. We have a decent manager in place, but as with every manager appointment, we tie one hand behind his back, its a disgrace, it really is.
  18. You didn’t got to Old Trafford a few weeks before he was sacked then?
  19. You’ve posted some rubbish this week but that just about takes the biscuit. The guy needs backing, the owners are once again failing to support the manager, nothing new here… Venkys out.
  20. Mowbray going to Sunderland.
  21. Started like we left off at Sheff United. This current side will go down, we need reinforcements and quick.
  22. Sounds about right doesn’t it 🙄
  23. We've read a lot of bullshit posted over the past few seasons about the backroom team, Benson in particularly, well here's the real inside story from someone who knows: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20781950.coaching-consistency-key-blackburn-rovers-no-1-thomas-kaminski/ It was really important for me,” Kaminski said of Benson staying on. “Since day one I’ve had a really good connection with me. “He’s always been honest with me, telling me where to improve, so he’s definitely not telling me every day how good I am, but he’s telling me every day what I need to improve which is important for me “He tells me the truth which is important.” Kaminski has welcomed the new approach under Jon Dahl Tomasson in what he described as a ‘European’ coaching style. But keeping continuity within the goalkeeping department is something the Belgian has welcomed. He said: “I think that part of consistency is important I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks that. “The other goalie’s find that important. “Ben is an ambitious person, very intense with us which is exactly what we need, what I need.”
  24. Got a bottle of Whispering Angel Rosé (Cotes de Provence, France 2021) ready for the ice bucket after the football, win, lose or draw. Not usually my tipple to be honest, Mrs bought a case back in June, lovely stuff, 6 bottles didn't last long!
