  1. Tripe, Tyrone. Armstrong, Kaminski, Dack, Brereton = £40m+ right there, but the king is dead, long live the king.
  2. You need to read back a few pages, some posters seem to think we'll be spending £10m in this transfer window! Yes £10m! Where the feck was £10m in January when we sat 2nd in the division?
  3. Rubbish, for all the reasons stated above. Lets see at the end of the window how much JDT was given to spend, as I'm sure your substantial budget above must still be available. Keep in mind several mangers turned the job down, which translates to not enough money to challenge the top 6.
  4. We had little to no budget in summer 2020, January 21, summer 21 and you'd now have us believe that all of a sudden someone found millions in a suitcase at the back of The Riverside in January 22 and the manager refused to spend it? What complete and utter nonsense with respect. If it doesn't make any sense its probably not true Simon.
  5. You have much more faith in Venkys ability to judge a manager than I have yeti. A club sitting 2nd in the division at Christmas, playing some good football and winning week in week out, to not back the manager at that stage? A manager that has used transfer funds really well, you support that decision? Mowbray was marmite on here I understand that, but your stance makes little or no sense to me with the greatest of respect. I doubt we'll ever have a better opportunity than last season to make that step up, I hope I'm wrong of course, but I won't hold my breath.
  6. You make a good point Jimmy and to be honest I have no idea, but when a transfer fee was involved he usually bought well, his record is pretty good, you missed Dack of your list who was brilliant from day one, Kaminski too, Ayala when he plays, but we'll never know. If Venkys give JDT 8-10m to spend this season every Rovers fan should be up in arms, they're taking the piss out of us if they do that given where we found ourselves in January and plug was pulled.
  7. How much did we spend in summer 2021 Mike? To solidify this promotion push?
  8. He had no funds in summer 2021, what makes you think he suddenly had funds in January? What he did have in January was a top scorer about to miss several games due to international duty and a growing injury list. Read between the lines islander200, he was saving face for the owners, he had no funds to speak of or he'd have spent them.
  9. That’s a budget not seen at this football club in years, I’d be astonished and angry if we spent that sort of money now. We had the best opportunity in 12yrs to go up last season and they failed to back the manager, if they do it now I’d be absolutely fuming and convinced the plan is to remain in Championship.
  10. I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to work out JDT is working with no budget, or at least no budget worth shouting about. Several managers before him turned the job down, the budget wasn’t what they wanted, the ambition wasn’t there. We are a mid table side with a mid table budget waiting for crumbs off the Premiership table.
  11. They can’t take away our memories, some beyond our wildest dreams. Blackburn Rovers winning the league title and playing in European Cup 😂😂
  12. I just want to backup Mattyblue here, what a tremendous effort on Wednesday night early in the season. Tremendous support, fans that actually walk the walk, super stuff.
  13. I'm still haunted by last season game at Bramall Lane, Khadra, who now plays for them, missing that penalty, Brereton injury, we should have stuffed them on the night Got my tickets, I'd be happy with a draw - 1-1
  14. Which was worse? The last away game you went to at Peterborough or last night at Reading? I'm beginning to think you're a jinx 😉 I'm not sure what posters are expecting really, we have a worse squad than last season, we are significantly down on numbers and a manager that was 5th choice who needs time to settle in. If we finish mid-table this season with this current squad we'll have done extremely well in my opinion. A club with absent owners and no money, is still the same club regardless of who the manager is.
  15. You couldn’t spot a player if Kenny and Ferguson lined them up for you.
  16. It’s a weaker team than last season with less recruits. Neither manager is a miracle worker, you Wee with the Willy you’ve got and we’ll be lucky to finish mid table with the current squad.
  17. Absolute class from Reading. Reading 1 Rovers 2
  18. Wilder bid £1m for Lenihan back in 2017/18, are you saying his price has gone down since then? That doesn't seem to make much sense to me.
  19. Are you a new Rovers supporter? Have you heard of Lenihan, Nyambe, Rothwell?
  20. With the greatest of respect that simply isn't true. How would that make any sense for a club with injuries and its main striker going away on international duty? If it doesn't make sense its probably not true.
  21. I read somewhere that he got his knob out on stage and was racist.
  22. I remember you saying that last season, you then admitted you’d not seen the game and Dolan was man of the match 😉
  23. 2 ACL’s - It takes time and he deserves all the time in the world.
  24. Same time last season we lost to WBA at home and beat Forest away midweek. Very good win today against a club with resources way beyond our means, I’d take a draw at Reading to cement this start.
