  1. For what it’s worth, I don’t actually know who the leaver is. I’ve been told from within the club one in, one out this week. I would assume it would be Armstrong as we’ve already had bids for him.
  2. It’ll be circa £3 / month and released as soon as we can get it ready. That £3 is roughly what each member generates in ad income each month for the site. I know people are talking about AdBlockers - to be absolutely clear, if everyone on the website runs an adblocker the site will go under. It costs money to maintain and if you don’t see the ads, we don’t gain the revenue to pay the bills. The ads are the main source of income. So I would hope everyone would either put up with the ads to help us keep the site alive… or sign up for the ad free version when released.
  3. You would be open to paying for a small monthly fee for an ad-free version, then?
  4. You can view the major changes by going to www.brfcs.com
  5. Popular fan forum, BRFCS.com to relaunch with expanded content, partners with 4000 Holes. Tuesday 27th July 2021 This Wednesday, July 28th 2021 sees the re-launch of the BRFCS.com website. The leading Blackburn Rovers fans online forum will expand to include articles from guest authors and will incorporate the hugely popular “4000 Holes“ fanzine archive. The new website is formatted in a magazine style content and retains the much-loved forum. Fans can continue to have their say on the topics of the day, just as they have for over 25 years, sharing their hot takes after the latest match, or opinion on a new signing; but now, when they have more to say, there's a place for them to say it. BRFCS.com already has a team of familiar names to create multi-media content and some new contributors have been added to the team too - keep your eyes out for interesting items from them all. The "new" team behind the venture have been operating the site for the past 3 or 4 years. I’ll be the Forum, @Herbie6590 on podcast content, @4,000 Holes on website content, @StubbsUK running the website back end and @Rothon front end. The website will by run through Northern Horde Ltd. We’d like to thank the previous owners Glenn and Ste for everything they have done for the site historically.
We’d also like to thank everyone who has helped us get this far, special mentions to the moderation team led by @K-Hod whilst we worked on the site, @Kamy100, @Biddy and Phil T. The new BRFCS continues the “not for profit” ethos of previous guardians of the site, with all profits from the forum continuing to be reinvested in order to improve the site and the Rovers community.
  6. The games tomorrow…
  7. NAPM finished long ago. They’re managing to do that themselves.
  8. No, they’re going for the mutual understanding to announce the stream at the same time as Leeds, only for Leeds to jump the gun, approach.
  9. 15m excluding add ons. He’s gone.
  10. Rovers will be streaming the game themselves. Don’t buy it from Leeds, Rovers don’t get any money if you do that.
  11. For all my sins. Hate it. Can’t stop playing it.
  12. You’ll be able to guess from Wednesdays team
  13. They’re the best kits we’ve had in ages. I don’t like the rose detail, looks a little forced, but I shouldn’t complain.
  14. Add ons to the value of 5m, which you’d assume now they’re promoted are paid up. Doing it the add ones excluded way still works though… They paid 5m We paid 1.75m.
  15. No, but Brentford paid 10m quid for Toney and we paid 3m quid for Arma.
  16. You’d rather he left for nothing in 12 months than for 15m now? Teams know that we need to sell him, you don’t get top whack when everyone knows you’re in financial difficulty and your player has 12 months left on his deal.
  17. In FFP year 3 we are yes. Next set of accounts will be much lower.
  18. We had one of the biggest squads in the league last season, our wages where 180% of revenue.
  19. Because Rovers’ income is so low, our approach is to have a minimum spend for 2 years then a bigger spend in year 3, which means across the 3 years we pass FFP. There’s plenty of different approaches all over the league, PNE for example keep their costs level(ish) across all 3 years. Clubs with a higher income can afford to do 2 years big spending with 1 year lower - eg Derby. The ideal way around it is the Brentford model - where you have high value assets to sell every year and you replace them with well scouted, cheaper replacements. We can’t do that because we haven’t sold anyone. The plan was always to sell Dack, but he did his ACL. We now need to sell Arma and quite frankly we’ve struck lucky that he broke through whilst Dack was injured, otherwise we would have no significant assets. To be absolutely clear, last year was our chance - which is why many of us where pushing for Mowbray to be sacked. We now may as well keep him for 18 months.
  20. I’m glad someone else understands the mess that is the FFP cycle. Nothing to see here for the next 2 years, folks.
  21. At this point I reckon if I worked at Tony’s local greasy spoon I could get a job at Rovers.
