  1. Yes I’ve protested/boycotted in different capacities since Kean. I think it’s achieved plenty - I’d like to think I played a small role (like all other protesters) in Kean walking, I’ve sat through meetings with members of the Rovers boards offering opinions, strangely I was once consulted on transfer business one season, I’ve spoken to Waggot and Pasha about the club and how I feel about it. I don’t think any of that would have happened if I hadn’t been involved in protests. As with every post I’ve ever made in here, it comes with a caveat that I post what people tell me. Not everyone - but if I think it sounds plausible, I post it. Some turn out to be right (latest one Dani Ayala), some turn out to be wrong. That’s the way it goes - but I’ll always post what I’m tipped off with. I’ve absolutely no idea what your last sentence means.
  2. I would say I’m still boycotting in some capacity yes.
  3. I thought you had Chaddy on ignore?
  4. Here’s a message I received from a club employee this afternoon. I can’t guarantee it’s authenticity, so it’s shared with that caveat: “If you think something stinks with this training ground stuff... you’re not alone. Long game... club to move out of Brockhall completely. This isn’t a baseless opinion. Steve vaguely mentioned it in a meeting. He’s got a big gob. ‘Blackburn with Darwen would love us there’ where his words.”
  5. I often produce campaigns for other clubs - I won’t name them since I’m talking finance, but 24K is peanuts in comparison to what they spend on kit launches. The suggestion I made was for stills and film content... and certainly wouldn’t be basic. Basic is pointless in advertising.
  6. Probably not £70. Let’s assume the shirt is £50 and Rovers make 40% profit on that - so they earn £20 per shirt sold. Let’s say a basic shoot costs 24K including VAT. I’m essentially gambling that I can create a piece of content that sells 2,400 additional shirts. Anything less than that I have lost money. If it only sold 1,000 extra shirts, Rovers would have made £10,000 and I would have lost £14,000.
  7. Prior to Christmas I privately offered someone at Rovers a one day studio shoot for Rovers to launch this seasons kit. They provide the players and kit, I provide the creative, studio space, crew, camera gear, lighting and post production free of charge. Zero cost to Rovers. That offer was based on a 50/50 profit share for every additional shirt sold next season compared to this season. Worst case scenario it cost them nothing, best case scenario they made money. They said they’d consider it and come back to me. They never came back. Offer still stands, if you’re reading.
  8. Yeah that’s what I’m saying. They drag on then suddenly it all changes. This 3pm thing has been doing the rounds since this morning. I think if he being fired he would have gone by now, rather than a 3pm statement. But like I said, I don’t know. If he was walking/resigning I can see why it would be a set time.
  9. I’ve heard nothing. And when I look back through history, Venkys seem to make quick decisions. I can’t think of another example where there’s a rumour prior to a significant announcement.
  10. If I did say it was ‘supporters fault’ (I honestly haven’t checked so don’t know) then I’ll retract that - you’re right, it’s no supporters fault. The statement I was trying to make was that there was warning signs of this early - and I, like many others, where told in a round about way, to get behind the team. I’m not suggesting protesting after we’ve come second in league one, that would be insanity, but for me the mindset should have been ‘why did you only finish second, with the biggest budget ever seen in the league’ and explicitly ‘why did you play a weakened time in the final games?’. For me, the mindset was wrong then and it has been ever since. For too long this club has been on easy street - right down to really small things, like removing the history in photographs from the walls at Ewood. The clubs fan base is fractured, in part I admit saying fans have played a part in this latest slump I am adding to that. We desperately need someone that we can get behind but the key for me is someone that will not accept a mid table championship mindset. I would much rather watch an ambitious club that falls short than this dross. Ultimately I’m not sure I’ve answered your questions here, so I’ll try and condense it into a sentence. In a list of who has got us into this mess, there’s plenty ahead of ‘the fans’ - but for me, Rovers fans have a willingness to roll over and accept substandard, anyone that doesn’t is told they’re not helping - and I desperately think that needs to change.
  11. I got pelters for saying the same thing on Twitter. You can support the club by demanding change when there’s warning signs. Support isn’t exclusively positivity.
  12. The only chance of a ‘name’ signing this is if they have zero interest in ever returning to football. Most won’t want to harm a potential future pay cheque.
  13. I’ve absolutely no idea what you’re talking about at this point and I’m astonished if anyone else does. What is this meant to mean? We can draw Liverpool in the cup? We can put an advert in the Telegraph? It’s a total mystery and personally I think you’d do better if you stopped the riddles.
  14. This is a forum. The entire concept is to discuss, if you don’t like that you’re free to not use it. As far as I’m aware, as yet, nobody has put together any constructive opposition to the training ground fiasco. Obviously I have no idea what people are doing privately, but there’s nothing public.
  15. I don’t think you need to even bother discrediting the plans. They discredit themselves. You’re assuming that the people behind this genuinely think it’s an improvement to cram two well functioning sites into one too-small site. Nobody involved in this can possibly think it’s beneficial, IMO.
  16. Nobody has done anything since the plans where leaked, that’s what my opinion is based on.
  17. They’re not stupid Rev. They don’t truly believe reducing the training ground size will improve the facilities. That’s why you need the pitchforks trump card.
  18. In my opinion, thousands will say they oppose it, hundreds will protest it and around 100 will really go out of their way to stop it. That’s just not enough.
  19. Agreed. Part of the problem in my opinion was there where too many groups. Too much ego and too much self serving. The only way to make a real statement is in numbers and the only way that anyone is going to get the numbers is by uniting numerous different groups. It’s quite the task.
  20. We’re not going down the road of speaking on behalf of other people. It’s messy, it’s complicated, it’s not fair and it’s not what we signed up for. This is solely a platform for people to use, for free, to discuss Rovers with likeminded people. It’s not a group, or a club and nobody gets any different treatment to anyone else.
  21. Course there could. There could be thousands of letters of complaint being sent to Waggott and Pasha. There could be protests safely at Ewood and Brockhall. There’s tonnes of options. I’ve got Balaji and Suhail’s phone number in my phone, plenty of others do. They’re not impossible to contact.
  22. I can’t pin a specific post - but if you start a thread with it, we can pin that thread.
  23. I’ve said it before - I’m not sure how it’s happened, or when it happened, but in my experience the majority of Rovers fans are now so dismayed with the club that they can’t be bothered to put up a fight. Or they’re talkers. They say they’ll do something, then find excuses when it’s on the horizon. I was up for it - especially during Kean - but I found it so frustrating trying to gather enough active support to force change. In my opinion, this next step of downscaling the Training facilities will go ahead without much of a scene. I wish there was thousands pushing for Mowbray to be removed. I wish there was even more demanding change in the boardroom. I wish everyone was stood outside the training ground and protesting with local residents. But it won’t happen.
  24. I’ve signed it. BRFCS can’t back it, because we can’t speak on behalf of everyone that contributes. BRFCS isn’t a club or a membership.
  25. I don’t rate Bournemouth, but this has got a tonking written all over it.
