  1. Not at all. I don’t rate him, I’ve never rated him, I think his only hope is that he develops into a bigger frame. But I desperately hope he comes good and yesterday he didn’t stand out as not good enough, which is an improvement. But I may well be wrong.
  2. I thought Buckley played well yesterday, not necessarily from a standout point of view, but much better than usual. I’d be interested to rewatch it again and try and focus on Buckley like @JoeHobviously has. I’m quite wary of video snippets, but will give it the benefit of the doubt because it’s Joe posting them and not a generic stats account. I used to work for the biggest sports broadcaster in the world and we often used to create a narrative then find snippets to back up our agenda. I once produced a 2 minute segment on why Kovacic was the best central midfielder in the Premier League because we wanted to see if we could make a convincing argument. It was broadcast to millions of people and was entirely plausible. He’s not even the best midfielder at Chelsea.

Oh crikey. Maybe that’s how you’re seeing it, but I disagree. I think taking donations is disingenuous. Nobody knows how many donations you receive, nobody knows who has donated and if they’re getting any special treatment, nobody knows how many donations are needed. So I stopped the donation offering for the site. The adverts have always paid the bulk of the site expenses. They where previously smaller and less intrusive. Google have changed them, They’re now bigger. We can’t control them, sadly. So we’re kind of stuck to them. Without bringing back donations - which I don’t agree with - the ONLY option I can think up (so far) is to allow an advert free subscription service.

I’m genuinely struggling - we haven’t decided to run the site with adverts, that’s how it has always run, it’s just now the adverts are being served in a different way.

In which case your post previous to this one makes absolutely no sense

You’re not seemingly understanding the situation here. To be clear: we don’t control how the ads look. The advertising is completely out of our hands. We either have: Have ads as they currently are - again - we cannot control how they look or operate. Have ads as they are, but offer users a subscription to be ad-free which matches what they’re worth to us through advertising. We MUST have either ads or subscriptions or take donations. The site is not for profit, it just about covers its bills with the adverts. It is not an option to not have any advertising or subscription.
  7. Even once we’ve paid what we owe on him? Let’s say 52 weeks @ 10K a week, 520K. Plus given Newcastle their 40%. I make that 8.48M left over once everyone is paid. I’d agree, I think he’s replaceable if we got say 5M of that 8.48M to spend.
  8. Buckley back in the squad. Still too lightweight, still some simple bad decision making. I think he’s desperate for a make-or-break loan.
  9. Dolan and JRC look brilliant.
  10. Arma out injured - confirmed by Lancs Live. Hamstring, 2 weeks.

The site has never been ad-free. For a while the previous owners took donations as well as adverts to help cover the costs. Definitely here to stay short term. Mostly because we don’t know how to move back to the old ones. Sorry!

    1) we haven’t designed the adverts or created more intrusive ones. It’s happened automatically from Google. 2) I’m not saying you would have to pay. I’m subscription for ad-free might be a solution to the problem if we can’t change these new more intrusive ones. 3) Facebook and Twitter aren’t free / they’re harvesting your internet data and selling it on to third parties so that the advertising you see is relevant to what you want to buy. Now that’s intrusive!
  13. Sounds like something I would say. I think if he had come back the same Dack he would have been off. As it stands I can’t see why anyone would buy him, he looks terrible. He seems to have come back too early (thus never play for us again) and have zero confidence.
  14. Arma‘a off. I’m convinced of that. I can’t see anyone paying money for Dack after this season. We need to find a way for that asset to shine again. Suddenly the transfer business doesn’t look as great if Dack is a mid table Championship player.
  15. I’d go 4231. Seasons over and we need Bradley Dack to find form, ASAP. I’d spend the rest of the season making sure we stay up and making sure we find a way to get Bradley some confidence. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Loanee (is Ayala back soon?) Douglas Evans Rothwell Elliott Dack Brereton Armstrong I think we might start seeing cracks if we’re losing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Lenihan, Dack or Loanee red card.

Genuine question... small fee, let’s say... £1.99 / month for an ad free version of the website, thoughts? It’s not intentional that the ads have changed, but it might be an opportunity.
  17. The liquor draw is being raided. Beer just isn’t cutting this.
  18. When they broke then (29 minutes) at one point it was 6 v 4. In the attackers favour!
  19. Where are this lot getting fresh haircuts from!
  20. Please welcome your new Fans Forum representative, @K-Hod, who will be representing BRFCS.com, the BRFCS podcast and its members at the upcoming fans forum meetings. K-Hod will be canvassing opinion on this thread, reporting back to the Club and then updating this thread too. The next meeting is Monday 8th.
  21. Some outrageously good players in that video. It’s such a shame we had all of that ripped away from us.
  22. I’m confused, are we talking about toasted sourdough muffins here? I live in the Ribble Valley.
  23. I’m so deflated that he’s not walked today.
  24. Things I’m not interested in seeing or hearing: 1) Any talk about a journey 2) Where the managers best interests are 3) The value of the squad 4) Promotion from League One 5) The style of football 6) What the stats say 7) Being trusted to nurture top talent I’m judging this solely on the results and performances in the last 12 months.
