  1. After 28 games - 18/19 - 40 points, 6 off playoffs 19/20 - 40 points, 5 off playoffs 20/21 - 39 points, 6 off playoffs
  2. If we go 2-0 down the thread is closed and Mercer is drafted in.
  3. I just hope we don’t end up doing anything silly. Like playing Dack as a false 9.
  4. Update to follow on the wine review - sea bass changed to roast beef so we last minute went to red!
  5. I’ll be doing the right thing and, based on @Mercer’s prediction, putting £10 on Preston to win. Proceeds will be going to Blackburn Youth Zone and if anyone else wants in, let me know.
  6. Is it 1 hour of people going: “maybe... bloody hell we might do this... this is it... oh for god sake”? Because that’s the sound of my season.
  7. I think from memory the 40% mention was in the LT. There was an interview when someone said we only signed him for 1.5m because of the sell on fee.
  8. Especially when we owe Newcastle a huge percentage (I’ve even seen 40% banded around) of the future fee!
  9. OK, well I’ll qualify it with a serious response, just incase. We’ve always changed thread titles. It’s just with the latest forum software you can see (or I’m guessing you can) who changed the title and when. When I say always, usually it’s not for attempted comedy like in this instance, usually if a thread goes off topic or details about a game change / aren’t included I will tweak the thread title to be suitable. I changed the title of the thread because I found it funny. I really enjoyed StevenSK getting wine recommendations half way through the thread because I was expecting chaos when I logged in — which usually happens when we lose. To his credit, Mercer took it very well and I’ve had a few laugh out loud moments this evening reading the replies. I’ve also found it thoroughly refreshing that the thread isn’t full of arguments and bickering. We’ve had two reports tonight in this thread, usually after a loss we’re closer to ten. I may have misjudged the situation, honestly from viewing the replies I can only see that you’ve found offence, if it’s only you then my honest thoughts are ‘so be it’ but if it’s genuinely upset anyone else please do speak or (either on private message or publicly here) and if the general consensus is that it’s not appreciated I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. Either way, as always, thank you for having an opinion. This website is run at this stage solely by a small sponsorship deal and volunteers, it’s sometimes great and sometimes a bit of a burden. We won’t always get it right but we will always try to do the best to keep the site going, improve on it and at a minimum keep the community open to anyone that wishes to be part of it and respect it.
  10. Read the standing orders! Read them and understand them! BRFCS PC Clerk.
  11. I... can’t work out if you’re serious or not?
  12. Whilst this is great, this thread it strictly for discussion about the QPR game or Wine recommendations. Please create your own thread for Cider! 😉
  13. Tohu it is, thanks for the recommendation @Silasbut in the spirit of things I’ll be going for the Mercer recommendation. Photo plus review to follow tomorrow evening.
  14. I’m so pissed off with this teams consistent failings when it comes to the top six. I could write a long post trying to emphasis the point but at this stage, I’m with StevenSK, I realise it’s pointless and instead should turn this into #MercersWineClub. @MercerI’m looking for a white to go with sea bass tomorrow evening, maximum budget £20, typically stay in the NZ Sauvignon territory. I’ll be buying from Whalley Wine Shop, so ideally something they will have it stock.
  15. Anyone else worried sick we’re going to do that 3-5-2 that we know doesn’t work tomorrow?
  16. I think Douglas has already agreed a 1 year deal after his contract ends. Douglas is a very good left back, he’s just had a rough start. It doesn’t help that he gets very little defensive protection.
  17. He’s been a mainstay in two promotion winning defences and has either played PL football or played for teams in/around the top 6 in the Championship. Ayala is a superb defender, he’s just got a dreadful injury record.
  18. It makes sense because it plugs a gap. Come the end of the season we will have Williams wage to find a replacement, plus Wharton back from injury. We don’t need an expensive loan signing (Kipre) because Braithwaite and Lenihan are looking good together plus we have Ayala — who when not injured — is one of the best CBs in the league. We need cover to get us until the end of the season and the difference in wage between HB and Kipre will give us money for Pickering. I like it. Great use of the budget from TM.
  19. Kipre a 50/50 between us and PNE according to SSN.
  20. Congratulations to TM on a fruitful January, really got some results when we needed them both. I’m not bothered about performances, we won 1-0 and if we could replicate the performance and result every week I would be ecstatic. Now we’re in touching distance let’s hope we can break the glass ceiling. Bournemouth will come good, they’ve got some great players, so we need to match or better Readings results every week to break into the top 6.
  21. It’s fair to say it’s quite the effort to make these podcasts, then?
  22. Ah, yes. I see the issue. As I understand it, we need it in this format for SEO. I’ll ask if there’s a middle ground we can look at.
  23. Sorry, what is the tab you’re referring to? Can you upload a screen shot?
