  1. Douglas doesn’t have a recall option, he’s here for the season.
  2. Easy work... The reason Tony Mowbray has to go is quite simple - repeatedly failing to learn from his mistakes. We all went into this season saying defence looked light. Questions where raised over Ayala’s injury record. But that isn’t the biggest issue. The biggest issue is Tony has been here before and never adapted - and most concerning, this has all happened before. Celtic - taken from CelticUnderground.net “The team had a habit of being changed from one week to the next. The centre backs were rarely played together for long, either through poor form or injury.” Tony also has a habit of questioning the players. Pushing the blame. In fact, he’s done it today in the LT. This isn’t a one off, remember ‘defenders are coming?’. In fact, it’s not just at this club: Celtic - taken from CelticUnderground.net “This had come from a press interview in which Mowbray had said what most of the fans had been thinking – the players weren’t up to the job and big changes were required.” We finished our last game playing 4-2-4, with four attacking players on the pitch. We’ve ended up in this position a few times this season, chasing down the game. It’s something Tony is used to - in his final games at Celtic, the Glasgow Times accused him of “having no plan B, ending the game at St Mirren with 6 strikers on the pitch.” Rovers score enough, usually. Our problem is defence and leaking goals. We’re missing a consistent centre half to take command and pull us over the line - what we had originally hoped Lenihan would be, but gambled Ayala could be. Again, Tony is used to not sorting out the defence. After leaving Coventry, Mowbray said to The BBC: I probably let them down by not getting in the big 6ft 4in centre-half we were after, who could have been a man and help us keep clean sheets. Let’s be very clear. The statistics show that, despite ‘better football’ and ‘increasing squad value’, this teams PPG is lower than 18/19 and 19/20. If you can find reason to believe any of these issues will be addressed, resulting in a top-six finish (Mowbray’s own target) - you’re much more optimistic than me.
  3. Well, Pasha has blocked me on Twitter for tweeting he needs to bring Ainsworth in before the end of the season. So he either thinks I’m a lunatic for wanting Ainsworth, or he won’t even hear Mowbray has to go.
  4. It’s bad news for Mrs Mercer, she’s on the cheap red tonight.
  5. Dreadful from Buckley. Ask Doncaster if they want him on loan for 18 months to try and replace Whiteman.
  6. Zero balance to this team now. There’s more playing out of position than in position.
  7. This manager has no plan B. This is the second game in a row that we’ve ended up playing 4-2-4. That is insane.
  8. I’ve only seen Pears twice including today - and haven’t ever seen Stergakis, but his resume is so much stronger than Pears. I can’t see how Pears is legitimately No2.
  9. Pears positioning was dreadful then. The pitch didn’t help, but he should have been set much earlier. Anyone seen the young Greek keeper?
  10. After he ran across their penalty box, ran into someone, then conceded a free kick.
  11. I know I always give him a hard time but I just cannot see why anyone rates Buckley. Too small, too lightweight, not commanding enough, not enough influence.
  12. I can’t register either - timing out. Then they wonder why everyone uses IPTV.
  13. I’m in a WhatsApp group and someone has said the team is: Pears; Pike, Lenihan, Johnson, Bell; Downing, Davenport, Buckley; Dolan Dack Brereton. No evidence that this is a decent tip, but a talking point.
  14. I cannot accept any first team centre back playing in this game given the fact we’re so up against it. Whichever two play CB for the U23s most often need to play for me. Not Lenihan and certainly not a half fit Ayala.
  15. Thanks! Reason I ask is because I have two seats which I am told are originals, taken out of the riverside stand. If they are, I’m going to give them away to BRFCS members. I’ve attached the images and what I believe to be an image showing them in situ originally.
  16. He’s on 75K per week. How much are you suggesting we would contribute and what makes you think he will drop down to mid table championship?
  17. There’s only any value in loaning Kipre if he’s the difference between us finishing outside the top 6 and inside the top 6. As far as I’m concerned we rolled the dice this window and went for it. Yes, we’ve suffered some bad injuries and COVID has hit the squad. But signing a defender like Kipre on loan stinks of throwing good money after bad. Unless of course, he makes the difference.
  18. Let’s start the fun - I’ve been told Kipre, Van Den Berg and a ‘young winger from a PL club’ so far.* *I have no reason to believe any of these have any substance.
  19. Hello... EFL? Yes hi. We’ve had numerous positive Covid tests and are going to need to postpone our game tomorrow.
  20. I’m looking for any images of the old seating in the Riverside - not the benches in the wings (see attached) but the central seating. If you’ve got any, let me know!
  21. After 21 games... 18/19 - 30 points, 6 off the play offs. 19/20 - 31 points, 3 off the play offs. 20/21 - 29 points, 7 off the play offs.
  22. Douglas getting grief but for me that’s Ayala. Put a name on it and take out everything in the way.
  23. I’ve had a couple of drinks, but I just hope Jordan Rhodes scores. I bloody love that guy.
  24. It makes no sense - only 6 weeks ago he was saying Brereton, Armstrong and Elliot (two of which are mentioned in the above quote) are as good as any other three in the league.
