Ayala when fit is one of the best centre backs in the league and would get into most teams. Hugely experienced, multiple promotion winner and captain. He’s worth the risk for me, if we get him starting 32 games (or whatever the average earlier in this thread) he will pay for himself.

My team, in order of preference.. Kaminski, Pears, Stergiakis Nyambe, JRC Lenihan, Wharton Ayala, Williams Douglas, Bell Holtby, Buckley Rothwell Johnson, Trybull Elliot, Dolan Arma, Gallagher Brereton Subs - keeper, JRC, fit centre back, Buckley, Trybull, Dolan, Dack (bring him on for a minute...)

I’d just like to take this moment to admire the technique shown by Kaminski on that left hand. Not often you see that level of punch without a pay per view.

Wharton can’t pass but this is two games in a row he’s looked a decent defender. Playing well here, we need to capitalise. Buckley playing OK but needs to impose himself on the game if he’s playing the Holtby role. We look much better with Kaminski and Johnson involved.

At this point I would take any manager that could assure me we would play our strikers as strikers and never take a short free kick again.
