Champions League 2018-2019
J*B replied to speeeeeeedie's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It's part of the rights deal that it cant be behind a pay wall. -
Diouf paid for our banner.

Closer to 300 for me.

See both keepers for me if we can improve them immediately. Not bothered about potentially selling one later down the line for potentially 10 million quid.

Found these online and thought they where really interesting - a full league review, images below... Shot Dominance The number of shots taken against the number of shots the opposition took Attacking Effectiveness Shot conversion, essentially. Bottom right is good, top left is bad. We come under languidly clinical, essentially didn't get lots of chances but took them. Defence effectiveness Exact opposite of above- top left is good - able to reduce opposition shots take more shots without conceding, bottom right is bad, opposition get lots of opportunity and take them. As predicted, we dont do well here. Expected goals The graph speaks for itself and sums up pretty much everything I thought about the year. Decent attack, poor defence.

Lesson to be learned here is you really shouldn't talk about things that you dont understand. Blackburn Rovers, the club that Jack built.

Retained list 2018/2019 Season
J*B replied to RoversClitheroe's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Guessing he cant make the final decision until he knows exactly what the budget is for the year? -
I'd rather we didn't chuck 30k a week at Mikel, hes exactly the sort of player I wouldn't pay to see - old, expensive, would never really give a shit. Give me a Travis any day.

If Mowbray wants to play this 433/343 that hes been talking about I'm not sure if he even fits in the team anymore, as crazy as that sounds.

Neutral means 50/50, right? Theres absolutely no way it's anything like 50/50.
-
Well, the simple answer here is theres far more Rovers fans than Burnley fans!
-
Clitheroe is NOT neutral ground.
-
Agreed, on the back of one game he's a very real option next year.

Rovers vs. Swansea - Sunday 5th May, 12:30pm
J*B replied to J*B's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
@philipl posted this right at the same time as me, the forum took mine as the match thread rather than his, but his preview is better - so they're combined! Cheers Philip. -
The conclusion of our 2018/19 season sees us face Swansea, recently relegated from the Premier League and previously labelled as Swansalona at their prime, which I used to always enjoy. We get cheap tickets, which some people think is a good idea - and others think is an insult to season ticket holders. They really can't please anyone. Rovers have won 4 of their last 5 - Swansea have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1, form which saw a late playoff charge from Swansea, but it wasn't quite enough, making this a total nothing game - apart from the battle of the Lancashire Championship Clubs, with the right result we can overtake PNE and finish top. Rovers are favourites to beat Swansea and the bookies aren't often wrong. No new injury updates for Rovers. We might see some of the kids, this may be the last time we see some of our players. Not sure on the Swansea team news, to be honest i'm not really sure on any of their players, but after a quick google they've got former Rover Matt Grimes, Nathan Dyer who feels like has played football forever and Ollie McBurnie who's very bloody good. My Rovers team below: Canadian Nyambe Lenihan Magloire Bell Buckley Travis Chapman Dack Rothwell Breo Davenport and Butterworth to come off the bench. Then pick any other player who will be leaving at the end of the season to come on late. Smallwood? Bennett? Mulgrew? Rodwell? Tony decides.

We have a new, interactive home page! It should have everything you need in one place to keep up to date with Rovers and importantly, be automatically updated so as quick as anywhere else. Its live now, so please give us any feedback and let us know if theres any issues. Big thanks as always to the behind the scenes tech team who work for free, in their spare time to try and improve BRFCS. Without their help we would be in big trouble.
