  2. If Mowbray wants to play this 433/343 that hes been talking about I'm not sure if he even fits in the team anymore, as crazy as that sounds.
  3. Neutral means 50/50, right? Theres absolutely no way it's anything like 50/50.
  4. Well, the simple answer here is theres far more Rovers fans than Burnley fans!
  5. Clitheroe is NOT neutral ground.
  6. Agreed, on the back of one game he's a very real option next year.
  7. Tickets available on the door, I'm told.
  8. Not many better ways to spend your Thursday. http://www.clitheroefc.co.uk/news/an-evening-with-blackburn-rovers-old-boys-2420408.html
  9. Nope - my bad - I missed the email. But if anyone wants to go to the next one, please send me a message.
  10. @philipl posted this right at the same time as me, the forum took mine as the match thread rather than his, but his preview is better - so they're combined! Cheers Philip.
  11. The conclusion of our 2018/19 season sees us face Swansea, recently relegated from the Premier League and previously labelled as Swansalona at their prime, which I used to always enjoy. We get cheap tickets, which some people think is a good idea - and others think is an insult to season ticket holders. They really can't please anyone. Rovers have won 4 of their last 5 - Swansea have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1, form which saw a late playoff charge from Swansea, but it wasn't quite enough, making this a total nothing game - apart from the battle of the Lancashire Championship Clubs, with the right result we can overtake PNE and finish top. Rovers are favourites to beat Swansea and the bookies aren't often wrong. No new injury updates for Rovers. We might see some of the kids, this may be the last time we see some of our players. Not sure on the Swansea team news, to be honest i'm not really sure on any of their players, but after a quick google they've got former Rover Matt Grimes, Nathan Dyer who feels like has played football forever and Ollie McBurnie who's very bloody good. My Rovers team below: Canadian Nyambe Lenihan Magloire Bell Buckley Travis Chapman Dack Rothwell Breo Davenport and Butterworth to come off the bench. Then pick any other player who will be leaving at the end of the season to come on late. Smallwood? Bennett? Mulgrew? Rodwell? Tony decides.
  12. We have a new, interactive home page! It should have everything you need in one place to keep up to date with Rovers and importantly, be automatically updated so as quick as anywhere else. Its live now, so please give us any feedback and let us know if theres any issues. Big thanks as always to the behind the scenes tech team who work for free, in their spare time to try and improve BRFCS. Without their help we would be in big trouble.
  13. I can only assume we're all watching different games, I thought he was far more effective than Graham.
  14. Not double, but I've been told tickets are going up in price.
  15. I think hes looked really good here. The style suits his play.
  16. Doesn't fit into this formation at all, if Mowbray is playing it next season we may as well cash in.
  17. I'd be pretty confident saying we've never employed it in any game we've started DG up front. We've only recently started playing two attacking wingers, which is the key to the formation.
  18. It's not a traditional tactic we employ though. We usually press in our own half then try to hit DG, hoping for knock downs to Dack/wingers. It's a big, big change, it's essentially what Mowbray has said he wants to be doing next season.
  19. The long shots are collateral damage, the tactic says let them shoot from distance, although it relies on the keeper saving and going long very quickly.
