Gone very quiet today. Still angry and mad about Rovers not signing McGuire after trying to sign him all window, finally agreeing a fee with his clubs and then to cancel it mid flight is inexcusable for me. Look forward to hearing Rovers reason for doing so

I really hope that Rovers sign McGuire today plus others otherwise. I don't get why they would stop the transfers money is there from Wharton plus Raya money and maybe Carter money if sold. We need players in. I hope GB and JDT have convinced them to back their plans for recruitment. It's is inexcusable not to sign players. I think this entire situation is a farce tbh. We know all December and January that Duncan McGuire was our first choice striker target and if the deal is cancelled then farcical and pathetic. Well I hope we complete McGuire and a couple more signings today before the deadline happens otherwise it is unacceptable considering we sold a player for 18m plus 4m.

Exactly the club come first and we want players to play here and happy here. Travis wanted out twice within 5 months. He wanted to leave here. Wrong there. I don't want to sell Wharton tbh but turning down 22m would be huge if we reinvest some of money(around 50%) and sign players in the window and in the summer For what? Wanted players to be here and signed players that suit our formation and style of play

Not at all. Dack didn't. Neither did Travis. Some.players don't It's was quite clear last season Travis didn't suit him.

Yet Travis wanted out and didn't want to be squad player here. He wanted to be starter and in the 6 role

We have Tronstad, Garrett, Buckley(back soon), Ayari and JRC. I would be in favour of moving JRC into the 8 role and sign a right back. Interesting next 38 hours ahead for Rovers. Hoping we bring in 3 players before deadline day ends Did Travis fit our playing style? Also Travis wanted out cos he wanted to play the 6 role and JDT didn't play him there. Tronstad has proven his worth in that role surely to be first choice. Travis didn't want to sit on the bench all season

Disappointed to see Adam Wharton leave so early but £22m is hard for Rovers to turn down. It should(key word) allow to bring in a 3 or 4 players this window and a couple in the summer. Don't blame Adam for wanting to play PL football and he will play regular at Palace. Hopefully we can get Duncan McGuire over the line. I would look at Paddy McNair from Boro. Out of contract in the summer, aged 28 and experience. Wouldn't cost much transfer fee wise. We can look at right back signing and move JRC into Wharton role, or sign a centre midfielder replacement. Then I would like winger with pace Wahlstedt is nowhere near as bad as people on here make out. He is still young in terms of keepers and he needs developing on command of the area and catching crosses. Telalovic is work in progress signing. He is getting better as time goes on. Ennis has been awful signing. Also GB is doing a good overall job at Rovers IMO.

Who was first choice?

Yates would enjoy playing in our team with our attacking quality he would thrive. McGuire Seems like someone Rovers like and scouting. Can see it being a busy last 3 days for Rovers for ins and outs. Don't know what happens Wharton"s Palace bid.
