The offers weren't good enough. Simple as. Plus what you always to factor in is the DoF and head coach only came in that summer and to sell him would be big call and huge gap in the squad
-
Sevilla and Nice offered £8.4 million whilst Fulham offered £6m plus £4m in add ons

Would have been a brilliant signing and at least got us top 6 finish and playoff place He has 8 goals this season in the championship. He knows how to score goals Yes I am mad Rovers and Rovers till I die. Its my opinion and I stand by it. Adam Wharton scored yesterday -

Its a couple of millions we would lose. Not alot when we are likely to cash in on Adam Wharton, Hayden Carter and possibly Sammie Szmodics in the summer for £25m plus -

deffo. We should be able some quality players from here with some championship experience but also from Overseas leagues -
Should have made a new contract post covid comeback cos he looked quality but even so an offer should have been made at that point. If BBD wanted to leave when Fulham, Sevilla or Nice make the offers when didn't BBD asked to leave?

Nicko has suggested it on X(twitter) I don't know that JDT will leave Rovers in the summer but he still has 18 months on his contracts and I hope he stays here. Even if he does leave I would expect Rovers will look to appoint a head coach who will play a similar style of play to JDT. We need signings in this window and mostly these should not short term signings but players who will add quality and depth to the squad for next season and season after -

Its about bringing players just not for this season but beyond. If we £5m from that Raya deal. That's gives you £5m to spend which would give you the chance to bring few signings For example Rajovic for £3m from Watford O'Riordan for 500k from Crewe Blackett-Taylor for 500k from Charlton Cresswell on loan to buy in the summer from Leeds Julian Niehues on a pre contract for next season -
You are spot on that the BBD contract should have been sort before GB came in. Mowbray and Waggott should have sorted it 2 years before his contracts ended true but we should be selling players before we leave it when the players have only 12 months left on their contract

I believe we could advance the Raya Transfer money to this window and not the summer. We would get slightly less But I would be tempted to do if we could bring in new signings to give us some depth and quality -

Surely that is on JDT for given Ben Benson the job when he could do it himself or appoint someone like Damien Johnson or Mike Sheron to do it Will Still is the Reims manager. JDT did bring his own assistant and fitness coach. Remy and Rosen who he knows and worked with before, but he was happy to work his existing staff as its give his opinions on the players Mowbray did bring in his own number 2 and he was very happy with Benson's work that why he got a new contract when we went down. Benson was given the GK coach temporaray when Mowbray came in as we got rid of Owen Coyle, Assistant manager Sandy Stewart, first team coach John Henry and goalkeeping coach Phil Hughes I am sure if JDT wanted to bring in more of his own staff then he would. -

I agree we need a new CEO with background in commercial operation growth here but that's down to the owners to bring that in. We have to disagree cos I think we have a good footballing structure and GB is doing a good overall job but we need a budget to bring in what we need. Yes I do think we will bring 3 or 4 signings before the deadline day. Yes I do always look at life in 'positive mindset' and I always look at the glass half full not half empty. Its mindset that has served me well to get the best I want and have in life. -

You would be very surprised who I know at Rovers. So you going to name these staff members? are the Staff related to non football staff or staff who are involved in Football setup? Doesn't he have 3 Rovers related stories today? -

Brilliant night watching Sarah Millican and very enjoyable event. which other director of football gives interviews during a transfer window? Please could you answer this simple question No the whole set up isn't garbage but its how a modern day football set up with DoF and Head coach set up. Most teams at PL and Championship level have that set up. No, what our situation requires is some new signings to given quality to the squad and depth of the squad. -

the same old rant about our coaching staff, the footballing structure at the club, etc. The same old criticism of GB and recruitment team. You act like its so easy without any sort of answers to how you would better. Carter fell awkwardly so how is that fault of our medical or fitness team? -

exactly. We are got most players on long term contracts which is big advantage for us. Benson shouldn't be in charge of set pieces. His focus should be working with the keepers and helping them developed. He praised by Kaminski as been a good keeper coach. Going to name who these staff members are? -

If you don't like my posts just ignore them. I have posted my concerns about the club itself but I don't it in the match threads. Anyway, I'm off to watch Sarah Millican at King's George Hall in Blackburn. Enjoy your night people
