  1. Hirst look a good choice given his form the previous season and again he is the main striker for Ipswich who just got Promoted. I never said total faith anyway in my post did I but I said I still had the same amount of faith in GB to deliver what we need this summer regardless of the past experiences. The blame shouldn't be aimed at Broughton but the admin department down to personal opinion. I don't agree that GB failed with Undav as it was out of control. Problems with loan deals. even on deadline day we wanted a striker but who we tried to sign I don't know
  2. no that is the reality and the current situation. 2 wins and we get a playoff place. Can you say that isn't true? You might be happy to write us off But I won't!!
  3. we need to win both games and we get a playoff place.
  4. Its very simple for Rovers, just win the next 2 games and we get playoff place. Its that simple
  5. That why we are detailing scouting into players for the past 3 months and have our target lists. nothing guaranteed you success in the players being good but even some of the great managers have made poor signings in the past. Mowbray made a number of poor signings during his time here. They aren't excuses but actually facts of what happened. most of the scouting and researching plus have target lists has already been done before Sean Kimberley joined as GB said to the last meeting at the fans forum
  6. The deal was agreed and the player agreed before he had a chance of heart. He has just scored 2 goals today. We should have signed a striker in January. Do you blame him for the administration problem with the contract?
  7. it was just a idea. You could just refund the people who bought one the price for that game. are they any clubs who offer a similar thing to what the Rovers trust is offering?
  8. As I said last night, GB came in during the summer with no recruitment team in place. Hirst look a good option which didn't work out tho he playing well and scoring for Ipswich now in league 1. Sometimes it just doesn't work for a player at a club. We also a deal in place and accept by Brighton and Undav to come here before he U-turn and back out of the deal. Can't blame for the Undav deal but we should have other targets. The O'Brien fiasco as that wasn't in his department but he was man enough to take the blame when others should have face up. Now looking to the summer GB has already spoken on how we recruit and the lists are ready to go depending on what division. Why should it affected tho when you understand what has happened and some of it is out of control? Some of the best managers have made poor signings in the past but did people question their judgement?
  9. then how do you sell that seat for the other games when you don't know which one they will pick and choose? One way for people with young children who can't make midweek games is to offer to different types for that category is one adult and one children weekend season ticket and full 23 games season ticket for those who can make midweek games for that category
  10. Will Dack start the Luton?
  11. Very similar to myself. I enjoyed going to Ewood Park and I've been going for so long it's just very natural thing to do.
  12. why is that Attitude? Cos we want to buy a season ticket and support our Rovers? What is problem with buying season tickets for next season? Surely support your club through the good and bad times whoever the CEO, DoF or head coach is?
  13. We were linked Hirst very early on after GB and JDT appointments Undav changed his mind mid-January was reported in the media Some good quality strikers on the free agency market like Maja or Healey
  14. Fair enough Not at all I just don't agree with you. Football is all about opinions
  15. I explained my reasons there in previous post. What more you need?
  16. might down if they go down is why I think they signed him in the first place
  17. before tonight game Bradshaw had 1 goal in the last 9 games
  18. I think Leicester and Leeds will survive with Forest, Everton and Southampton coming down. Everton just can't get a win and playing poorly. Most of the problems at that club as down to one man and that the owner of the club. Southampton played good football at Arsenal but should have won that. That's killed their confidence completley. Will be interesting who they appoint as the head coach there next season? Will Forest keep Cooper there next season if they go down or even stay up? not convince by that either. If they do go up reports say they will be massive fire sale happening in the summer. Think Everton will be the same if they go down
  19. last season failure was down to the manager. This season is very different firstly. If you look at when we won the PL we did it the hard way and only got 7 points from our last 6 games that season if when we got promotion in 91/92 season which we lost 7 on the bounce before getting 8 points from our last 4 games to secure that 6th place. the rest is history as we got through the playoffs and promotion that season
  20. yes your comment was completely and utter unnecessary. I have not once you feel less of Rovers fan so yet again another unwarranted comment. if you don't want to be season ticket holder yourself fine but I want to be one and continue to be one each and every season going forward. That doesn't make me any the less of a Rovers fan interesting question, I wouldn't say I am happy with him, but I would like a new version of John Williams and Tom Finn if we could find that as CEO who understand the fan base better and I think the current owners had a great chance to put that in place with Ian Battersby and Ian Currie a few years ago. I do feel that he and Iain Silvester should have face the media and explained what happened on deadline day and paperwork fiasco and it shouldn't have been left to just Gregg Broughton to face the media and explained everything. So Yes I would a change in the CEO chair if I was in charge but then the next problem comes who would want to work for Venkys and Pasha but that's another question there and another debate
  21. no. Rovers will sign a striker or two in this window and Rovers have been doing their research on who they want. GB has already spoken on how we recruit and the lists are ready to go depending on what division. GB came in during the summer with no recruitment team in place. Hirst look a good option which didn't work out tho he playing well and scoring for Ipswich now in league 1. Sometimes it just doesn't work for a player at a club. We also a deal in place and accept by Brighton and Undav to come here before he U-turn and back out of the deal
